It took several seconds for Mai to process just what had happened, and even as her Typhlosion somehow pulled herself to her feet, she refused to believe it. "No!" she shouted, kicking a large piece of debris out of her path, taking a few unsteady steps forward. "This will be our victory!" She recalled her battered and bruised Typhlosion back into her Pokeball, already throwing out another with her other hand. Her battle-scarred Blastoise appeared in front of her, his heavy steps causing the already-damaged stage to shake and wobble even more. By this point, Robin and the others had already cleared it so it posed no threat to anyone but the two powerful women who remained on its damaged floor. It was barely noticeable, but Mai was shaking as she practically screamed her command at Tanker. "Hydro Pump!"
The Blastoise roared loudly, unphased by his trainer's anger, and both water cannons seemed to click into place before two terribly powerful torrents of water were blasted out of either, each heading for the Garchomp's chest.
The Rocket Admin's breathing was erratic and shallow, and it seemed as though at any moment she could start hyperventilating. At the moment though, it was the last thing on her mind. She wasn't about to stand there and do nothing, even though deep in her gut she knew she was grossly outclassed by this Cynthia woman. Out of the corner of her eye she saw several of the children, along with Professor Rowan, making a break for it. "NO!" she roared, thrusting a hand in the direction of the retreating peoples' backs. "Stop them at once!"
The Noctowl's sudden stealing of Rowan's prized briefcase pulled Cynthia's attention from Mai momentarily and when she looked back her Garchomp was busy getting pummeled in the chest by an incredibly powerful Hydro Pump from Mai's Blastoise. She's really good, Cynthia thought amiably, regarding Mai's abilities as a trainer. It's too bad that a strong and talented trainer such as herself is stuck working for a horrible person like Giovanni. The attack had done severe damage to her Garchomp and she was actually quite surprised by the fact. "Bravo," she said, clapping slightly. "But now it's our turn! Garchomp, Dragon Rush!" As her Pokemon rushed in for the attack, she looked around, trying to find out what had happened to the briefcase. It seemed the thieving Noctowl was now being chased down by what appeared to be a Swellow - Cynthia wasn't exactly an expert on the Pokemon that weren't from her home region of Sinnoh, but she admired the bird's speed and determination and she wondered who it's trainer was.
=-=-=-=-= Jaeshan was speechless as he followed Robin first up onto the stage, and then proceeded to help her get Professor Rowan off of it as the two women (as incredibly gorgeous as they both were; even a gentleman like Jae couldn't help but notice it) began a battle that could be described by nothing short of epic. "G-Garchomp? Sinnoh League Champion?" Jaeshan whispered, watching over his shoulder as it made short work of the Typhlosion. Cynthia's newly revealed title wasn't really a surprise, as it was a given by just how strong the Garchomp was. It was no easy feat to have taken down the Fire-type, as that Typhlosion was no pushover either. He stared up at Cynthia again. He'd known all along there was something different about her but he never imagined it to be anything like this.
"Let's get the professor out of here," he said, once he'd rejoined Robin and Ryka. "It's not safe for him."
"It's not safe for you three either," sneered the grunt who'd been on the receiving end of Mai's orders. "You kids ain't going nowhere!" He flicked his wrists, sending two Pokeballs flying out in front of him, revealing two Pokemon: a Poliwrath and a Dusclops. This grunt wasn't kidding around.
"You two, go!" Jaeshan shouted, signaling to Robin and Ryka. "I'll hold him off. Keep Rowan safe!" He whirled around, facing the grunt and wondering if this strange rush he was feeling in his veins was what Kasiya and the others felt when they played hero. He grabbed two Pokeballs from his belt and released Butterfree and Nidoking, both of whom looked equally ready to battle.
=-=-=-=-= Leo watched proudly as his Noctowl had started to fly back towards him, briefcase in its sharp talons. Once flying over his trainer's head, he released the item, and it began to drop from the sky towards Leo's outstretched hands. He would have caught it, too, if only at the last possible moment, a streak of blue hadn't whizzed by overhead, taking the briefcase with it. "NOOO!" Leo roared, whipping around in order to keep his eyes on the Pokemon that had just robbed him of a successful mission. His gaze came to rest on Keegan, and Leo narrowed his eyes and began to walk towards the redhead, pushing every person (Rocket ally or innocent bystander) out of his way. "Hand it over, boy," he growled, stopping about twenty or so feet away, "unless you want to get hurt."

Innocent trainers, beach goers, and just plain people seemed to have mostly cleared out of the area, or at least the the area the Rocket mob had occupied. "Good, no one's going to get burned this time," Mitsu whispered to hersef, quickly flashing back to the days earlier healing. "Sapphire! Emb- !!!" was all she managed to choke out before she found her head locked in a burly arm clad in black. It was, of course, a Rocket Grunt.
"Grab the Houndoom!" the grunt shouted. A presumably lesser Grunt grunted in response and made a way to her blue firebrand. "The boss is going to like this weird one. Maybe he'll throw in a raise," the Grunt 2 stated to himself. Saphire, however, was not going to stand for this. Fire rolled in his mouth before crackling forward, coating the second Grunt's whole front side. That pain would never go away. Screaming in agony, the Rocket fled, hands over his face. Growling, he felt the blunt horns of a fellow Houndoom. It gazed at him while he glared back. "I am here, aren't I? Stupid," he said simply before returning to the fray. "Weaklings!" Saphire barked before letting loose another roll of Embers ar the oncoming wave. A Vileplume fell as well as a Nuzleaf. "That's two, runt!" Saphire howled, snapping his teeth at the other Houndoom. Anger filled his eyes as he howled once more, dodging an oncoming Mightyena. Feh, perhaps that stupid Arcanine's training wasn't completely useless after all.
"KCH!" Mitsu choked as the oxygen flow to her lungs was immediately cut off. The purple haired trainer wasn't exactly the strongest of people and she crumpled easily under the man's weight. "b***h! You'll pay for that!" he yelled, tightening his grip on the girl's neck. She was sure it's crack at any second. "Kahhh!" she sputtered loosing another bout of precious oxygen. She was beginning to feel a bit lightheaded and her vision appeared blurry.
"You will not lay a finger on her!" A voice exploded into her head. Air immediately rushed back into her lungs as she greedily sucked in the oxygen. Sweet, sweet air! The weight was immediately lifted off of her to see her savior. The rocket was thrown into the sky, from the height he achieved he'd definately get a few crushed bones on the way back to earth. Green aura was fading from his body. Karri was brimming with anger and it was evident in her bolts of shadow like balls and lighting that she had continually fired off knocking Pokemon out or at least back keeping M.A. and Mitsu fairly safe from the front side. "You're all trash!" she screamed into thier minds, a few of them stopping thier rampaged to clutch thier aching heads. She sent a few more Rockets flying. "How DARE you even touch her!"
"Thank you Karri," Mitsu thought. The Psychic appeared stronger than ever, clearly fueled by raging emotions and the natural instinct embedded in all Gardeviors to protect thier trainers. Karri was no different. She would give up her life for her, and Mitsu knew it. "It's about time I become strong too!" she decided sending Ivy's Pokeball flying. "Ivy! Leech Seed!" Mitsu shouted.
Ivy was happy to oblige. He would not lose this fight. Seeds pratically exploded from his bud coating a good amount of evil-doers in the thorny vines, latching them to the floor. It was easy pickings from there. They were sitting Psyducks now. "Saur!" he roared to the flying cotton swab saying, "Hey! All yours!" Surely his trainer's friend could knock out these losers. He, however, wanted some bigger fish to fry. Oh look, a Huntail, how convient! "Saur!" the leafy Pokemon roared before nleashing a stunning array of leaves towards the Pokemon, a full blown Razor Leaf.

Several passengers looked on as the two boys faced off on the deck of the ferry, awaiting the trainers to make their first moves. "Alright Wingull blast em with a water gun!" the pudgy boy yelled. Wingull reared back and spit forth a stream of water heading straight for Hurricane. "Watch out Hurricane!" Eraku cried. Hurricane barely managed to dodge the water gun attack by getting airborne. "Ok Hurricane go get em with a tackle!" Hurricane dove down towards Wingull and the two birds smashed heads causing the heavy set Wingull to fall over and have to roll over to get back up. "Wingull get up! Don't take that from that Pigey hit em with another water gun!" Again the wingull spurt out a stead stream of water at Hurricane. This time the attack landed on its target but it seemed to not have much of a punch behind it as Hurricane quickly shrugged it off.

"Don't --" Daemyn paused to breathed fire onto a Vigoroth before smashing into it -- "call me stupid! Two!" A painful Bite from the Mightyena that landed on his side, however, and the Houndoom Howled angrily in response, bowling over and kicking the offender off. Like a rabid wolf, Daemyn rushed at the Mightyena with those lightning-jaws of his again. "Three! Ha!" he panted, although when he looked at the other Houndoom, he saw that blue dog ripping apart Pokemon one after the other. Daemyn clamped his jaw down in frustration, but tasted copper. Thank god the mob of Pokemon was thinning; despite his pride, he didn't think his body could take a neverending battle.
Ulani assented to Ivy's invitation cheerfully, remembering the lovely smell of this grass-type. She'd met him before! Now that all her targets were immobile and not attacking, she neatly got 'em right between the eyes, spiriting away back into the skies before they could launch any of their pesky special attacks. Easy peasy!
Meanwhile, Diego was probably having the easiest time, watching his giant chain ball mash on Pokemon, all while sipping tea he had created and occasionally lifting up a Protect screen to block him, M.A., and Mitsu from debris, flying Pokemon, or streaks of Karri's anger. Heavens knows if his tea it actually tasted like tea, or tasted like paint.
"Oh. My. God. All you knuckleheads are losing?" "Janice" tsked, anger marking her face (which was probably filled to the brim with Botox). Why the hell was these two trainers giving them so much trouble? Well, actually, it was more of that purple-headed girl with her crazy Gardevoir and her other two Pokemon. The brunette girl didn't look too intimidating; her little blue bird wasn't much by herself, the dog was dangerous to approach but might be able to be subdued if his trainer was threatened, and that artist guy was.. falling asleep already. As annoying as Janice was, she wasn't dumb. Though she and her muscle-head partner -- we'll call him Mr. Bing -- hadn't sent out their Pokemon yet, they had to assure their success in stealing at least some of these Pokemon just in case they lost the battle. Win the fights, not the battles. Better safe than sorry.
Purple-hair was too strong, even with just three of her presumably six allotted Pokemon, but they could easily get to the brunette's; she looked manageable, if she was separated from purple-hair. Then Janice and Mr. Bing (who was carrying a huge duffel full of the Pokemon they had stolen thus far) could make their clean get-away on Bing's oversized Skarmory; the other Grunts could deal on their own, she didn't care. "Hariyama, getch your self ready."
The Arm Thrust Pokemon nodded, stepping in front of Daemyn, whose flames were stopped by one of his impeding hands. Ooh, hot, but his Thick Fat really worked to his advantage here. "Seismic Toss, that way!" Janice cried out, and the obedient Fighting-type grabbed hold of the Houndoom like he was nothing but a pup and heaved the both of them into the air, a grand feat considering how fat the Hariyama was. Once at the climax of his jump, the Hariyama slammed Daemyn down to the ground about fifty feet from where the girls were, outside the bounds of the melee going on. "Daemyn!" M.A. shouted, her usually calm, raspy voice breaking in fear and panic as she dashed from under Karri's protection. Diego waddled after her, not exactly one for speed.
"Gotcha, girlie," Bing said, grabbing the girl's arms and twisting it hard behind her back. M.A. cried out in pain, face paling considerably. Daemyn struggled to get back onto his feet, collapsing once with a whimper but managing nevertheless when he heard M.A.'s shout. Why were there two of her there? Two evil guys too, holding her back, how dare they! Fire brimmed in his jaws once more. "Stop it right there, mutt," a very satisfied Janice said, standing on top of a dazed Diego; he never was physically strong. "You fire and you hit your girl. Attack me and my friend Bing'll break her arm, you hear?" Daemyn halted, snarling now, but was on the verge of tipping over. Goddamnit.
"Why don't you come here, and I'll let her go," Janice said, enlarging two Rocket Pokeballs. Daemyn did not budge, recognizing the threat in the situation. Behind him, though, he heard M.A. gasp lightly as Mr. Bing twisted her arms further; a popping sound, was that a shoulder?
"It's okay," M.A. wheezed, seeing Daemyn's worried glance. Nothing too bad, she thought as the pain flooded in. She figured it wouldn't take more than a second to pop it back in herself, if only she could get free... Damn it all. She knew she should have left. Shouldn't have tried being brave. She shouldn't have been so conceited, so foolish as to think she might actually help out other trainers and such... She had everything to lose. Daemyn closed his eyes, sighed, and walked slowly towards the lady...
When ta-ta-ta! Ulani to the rescue! She practically drilled another nosehole into Mr. Bing's face, causing the man to shout and grasp his bleeding wound, letting M.A. stumble over unevenly. Daemyn, realizing the change in the situation, immediately released an Ember towards the expectant Rocket lady. She jumped away with shock, barely avoiding the lethal flames. Mr. Bing, dodging Ulani's insistent beak, managed to scramble back to Janice, releasing his Skarmory to stand besides Janice's unscathed Hariyama. On the other side, Daemyn growled softly, standing on three legs and leaning against M.A.; Diego was a bit shell-shocked and afraid of this mess, his droopy eyes wide awake for once; only Ulani looked fiercely unrelenting. M.A. swallowed a hiss of pain again when she pushed her odd-looking shoulder back into place, or at least where she was accustomed to it being. She'd never felt more a part of reality before now, and it was rather frightening.
"Fine, we'll do it the rougher, total-conquest way," Janice laughed, shaking off her astonishment at the turn of events. They could finish it up quickly here and make off. It would be too risky to take on that purple-haired girl; Janice liked it safe.

"Hah! Take that, you loser!" Riza shouted, shaking her fist at the retreating grunt's back. Now that her initial fear and panic had vanished, pure anger had settled in, mostly due to the fact that these creeps were trying to steal Pokemon. Riza may not have been the nicest girl on the planet, but even she had some sense of justice in a situation like this. Ralts had manage to shake off her discomfort from the previous acid she'd suffered and had made her way back to her trainer's side, looking warily towards the remaining Golbat and Raticate that remained on the field. Crenu had two Pokemon out and even though Riza knew it would be playing dirty by ganging up on the Rockets, but who cared? It wasn't as if these guys were playing by the rules. Riza turned her attention towards Crenu and his bleeding arm, feeling a pang of guilt for letting him get hurt like that. Hands balled into fists she studied the two enemy Pokemon, trying to figure out which one was more dangerous. The Raticate seemed to be virtually unscathed while the Golbat, despite its ability to confuse its opponents, was nearly finished thanks to the tremendous Rock Slide Crenu's Larvitar, no Pupitar, had thrown its way.
"Hit that overgrown mouse with a confusion!" Riza cried, deciding that she didn't care if it was three against two. Her Pokemon, despite how cute and loyal they both were already, weren't very strong but she hoped to make up for it in spirit. Ralts let out a growl and prepared to fire off another attack though suddenly she seemed to pause as the understanding of something new came to mind. Ralts did a little twirl on the ground and swung her small, white arm up in the air, a trail of golden stars following after before they started to speed towards the Raticate and Golbat. Riza blinked in confusion upon seeing this but she smiled when she realized that somehow Ralts knew how to use swift attack. 'That'll be a great move to use when it comes time to make appeals,' Riza thought. * * * * * Genki dodged another oncoming water gun from the Buizel, completely taken aback by how fast the sea weasel was. Genki wasn't really in the mood to get doused by cold water, and faintly behind him he heard Katie calling out for him to use scratch attack. The Chimchar let out a growl and swiped at the Buizel, grinning happily when he felt his claws sink into the Buizel's shoulder.
"Argh, fight back with a Sonic Boom," the boy yelled, angry that he'd been unable to hit the agile Chimchar at all thus far. Buizel growled and began to spin his tails like propellers, sending up a small and sudden burst of sound that traveled along the ground rather quickly and slammed into Genki, knocking him back a bit.
"Don't give up, Genki! Scratch it again!" Katie shouted, becoming more fearful by the moment. She hated being in this position, with a huge disadvantage against her. 'I knew I should have caught a grass-type,' she thought, pouting a bit. Oh well. If she lost this match, she'd trek back to Jubilife (again!), heal up her two Pokemon, and come right back and challenge these two boys again. Genki dashed towards the Buizel, suddenly grinning impishly as he reared back his fist. Both Katie, the boy and the Buizel looked on in curiosity as the Chimchar's fist began to crackle with what appeared to be electricity, and he thrust his electrified fist into the stomach of the very 'shocked' Buizel for a super-effective hit.

Artemis trilled loudly as she chased down the Noctowl, finding that her speed dominated her fellow flying type. Things were definitely in her favour as she easily reached her intended target, though an irritated growl escaped her throat as she watched the item she was supposed to retrieve plummet down towards the hands of a man that she assumed was very bad. A streak of white light trailed from behind her as she dove into a Quick Attack, using every ounce of speed she could muster to intercept the briefcase, and just in the nick of time, too. A triumphant screech escaped the Swellow's throat as she celebrated her win over the slower Noctowl, flying back over to where Keegan stood and gently dropping the spoils of war into her trainer's outstretched arms. "Excellent, Artemis!" Keegan smirked, glancing down at the brown case he now held. His first instinct after that had been to find a way to get out of there, but a few nearby shouts caught his attention and the redhead looked up in time to see Leo shove a cowering man out of his way.
Keegan smirked slightly at the threat, not at all intimidated by this Leo person. Now that he had a closer look he recognized him from earlier. Leo had been the one with the Ursaring, battling the pink Typhlosion that he now knew belonged to Kasiya's half-sister. Mai and this chuckle-head have been watching our every move all day long, he thought, silently fuming. The Rockets know everything we've done, everywhere we've been! We would have been a step behind even if we knew for sure they were planning an attack! Seething with anger, he held on tightly to the handle of the briefcase, fiercely determined not to let it out of his sight. He slowly looked down at Rowan's precious item, and then back over at Leo.
"You'll have to pry it from my cold, dead fingers."

It was hard to focus solely on Giovanni with all the battles going on around her, and no sooner had she looked towards the stage to try and catch a glimpse of what was going on when suddenly her friends were being attacked on all sides by grunts, either with or without Pokemon. Flannery and Mike seemed to be holding their own okay - in fact Kasiya was rather impressed by the way the Gym Leader was fighting back. Wow, where'd she learn to do stuff like that? she thought, her gaze turning idly towards Mike, who'd suddenly been flung into a pile of chairs. Her first thought was to go and help him, but then only seconds later Kilik was attacked as well, and she found herself temporarily alone and cowering in fear. She wasn't used to this kind of fighting and she was scared out of her wits. Ariel was positioned in front of her still and this was about the only thing keeping her grounded for now.
Just like that she was suddenly tackled to the ground from behind, and Kasiya could do nothing but scream. "Hold still, you stupid brat!" the offending grunt shouted, trying desperately to pin the squirming girl to the ground. "If you just hold still and gimme your Pokemon, I won't hurt you!" His hands were making wild grabs for the Pokeballs on her belt, though her constant wriggling made it impossible for him to get at anything.
"Not... happening!" Kasiya shouted back, now squirming more than ever. For some reason, she was more worried about keeping her Pokemon safe than herself, and that seemed to give her the energy to start to fight back. She painfully yanked her right arm free and she flailed blindly at her attacker before managing to roll onto her back. "Ariel, help me!" she begged, gasping from the sudden pain of the grunt pinning both her legs to the ground with his massive weight. She heard Ariel's angry growls and the sudden thud and grunt of pain from the Rocket on top of her - Ariel had tackled him and knocked him off-kilter, giving her trainer enough leverage to fully shove the man in black off her completely. Panting heavily the girl scrambled to her feet and stared at the Rocket - he was a fairly big and well built man, though probably only two or three years older than she was - but she didn't have much time to think about it as he was lunging at her again. Kasiya's eyes went wide as she felt his strong hands clench tightly around her throat and he lifted her into the air like she were a rag doll. She gasped, panic quickly spreading through her body as her ability to breathe had been cut off. Knowing that she didn't have much time she began to kick her legs as had as she could, though it didn't seem to do much for her.
She could make out the blurry outline of a blue Pokemon behind the grunt, eyes wide and fearful. "Ari...el...Ice...B-beam!" she choked out, struggling to hang on. The Vaporeon reared back and fired a full-power ray of ice point blank at the back of the man's right leg. He cried out, faltering on his now frozen-leg, and Kasiya used the opportunity to knock him off balance with kick to his other knee. He began to topple over backwards, losing his grip on Kasiya's neck, and as the two fell, Kasiya narrowed her eyes, a sudden and unexpected rage overcoming her. As the Rocket slammed into the pavement, his would-be victim landing on top of him, Kasiya began to shriek hysterically and claw wildly at his face, no actual words coming from her at all.
The young Rocket couldn't even cry out for help as his frozen leg had him screaming in constant pain, though he tried desperately to stop the girl's frenzied attack with his hands he couldn't get a hold of her. His agonized screams only fueled her rage and she continued her assault, the scratches becoming actual blows and she only stopped as she felt a cold blast of water strike her in the side of her head from Ariel. The colour drained from the girl's face as she looked down at her hands, covered in blood that wasn't hers and she scrambled away from the severely injured Rocket, whimpering like a puppy that had just been kicked.
=-=-=-=-= After Flannery's successful knockout of several grunts, she was disappointed to see that they were avoiding her completely now. It was a bit relieving, but for the most part it was frustrating. On the other hand, her friends were now in trouble and as she looked from one troubled comrade to another she had no idea which one she should help. Mike is tough, he shouldn't have a problem, she thought, desperately wanting to rush to his side and lend a hand, but when she saw Kasiya struggling against a grunt as well, she made up her mind. "Hang on there, Kass!" she shouted, leaping over downed Rockets, civilians and Pokemon alike in order to get to her friend. However, she arrived just in time to see the grisly outcome of Kasiya's frenzy and even she had to look away in order to avoid being sick. She gathered her composure and kept her gaze trained on Kasiya, who wasn't looking so well herself. She'd come out of it unscathed but you wouldn't have been able to tell by the blood that she wore, and she was visibly shaking even as Flannery grabbed her by the shoulders and shook her. "Listen, you can't freak out on us now, Girl! You've got to help fight!" Kasiya seemed to return to normal then, nodding weakly as Flannery dragged her back towards Kilik and Mike, both of whom were looking a little banged up themselves. But so far, at least they were all still standing.
Kasiya meanwhile, just looked at Kilik blankly, not even sure what Giovanni was going on about. Ammunition? Was he going to start shooting up the place now as well? By this point she'd blocked out what she'd just done to the Rocket grunt who'd attacked her, subconsciously knowing that she couldn't afford to be shaken up at a time like this. When she saw the Machamp and Tyranitar appear before her, she wiped her face with the back of a gloved hand, inadvertently smearing the Rocket's blood across her pale skin. This was it.
=-=-=-=-= "Really boy, that can be arranged," Leo replied coolly, eying the briefcase in Keegan's hands. "But I have to give you props, Red. You've definitely got a couple of brass ones if you're willing to stand up to the likes of Team Rocket." He snapped his fingers, and at once, his Noctowl was at his side, narrowing its eyes at both the briefcase and the boy who'd prevented him from completing his task for his master. "I'll just have to take it from you by force. Noctowl, Take him Down!"
With a shrill hoot, the large owl vaulted up into the sky, glaring down at Keegan as it began to dive at him, wings tucked into its sides in order to reduce wind resistance. Leo folded his arms and watched his Pokemon in action. If he failed to take the briefcase from the boy... well, he didn't want to know what Giovanni would do to him.

"What!? Damn it, get out of the way!" One of the grunts cried as he saw the unexpected array of stars shooting through the air. The Radicate made to leap out of the way, but the stars followed his every movement untll they connected. The Radicate winced as the stars burst over its body stinging him badly.
"Perfect, Hitmonlee Brick Break now!" Crenu said with a slightly waverign voice. Hitmonlee's leg began to glow as he sprung forward at his opponent. With the little white pokemon's intervention Hitmonlee was able to take the opening and land a massive attack. With crushing force Hitmonlee brought the heel of his foot down on top of the Radicate, pinning him to the ground and rendering him unable to go on. "Pupitar...Thrash." Pupitar wasted no time firing off his attack. Pushing himself by venting pressurized gas, Pupitar shot through the air at Golbat. However, in his confusion he ended up missing his target completely and hurt himself.
The Golbat had taken several stars and was knocked out of the air again, but managed to lift itself before being completely floors. This Golbat was tough, and even though its flight weak it wasn't ready to go. "Hah, alright Golbat lets get that little runt with a Wing Attack!" Golbat shrieked as made to attack. Nearly falling out of the air again, the Golbat made for a dive with wings spread wide at Ralts. However, before getting far Golbat was struck hard from behind sending him crashing to the ground. Pupitar had come back around and landed a hard hit, Golbat was also down for the count. With their pokemon defeated and recalled, the grunts also retreated.
"Heh...to easy. You did well." Crenu expected Pupitar to come through with his Thrash attack, knowing that he'd keep attackign until he got it right. But without Ralt's swift he wasn't sure he'd have had an opening. Calling back Pupitar and Hitmonlee, Crenu took a few steps forward before dropping down to one knee. "...Damn..." He said under his breath as he winced from a growing pain that was shooting through his body. Falling back into a sitting position, Crenu checked his pulse and found that it was abnormal. He was sweating much more now and his breathing was rough, the sharp pain seeming to grow in intensity as time passed. Trying to shrug it off and ignore it for the moment he attempted to stand, but he only fell back down again panting heavily. Damn it....this is bad. He thought, coming to terms with the fact that he had been poisoned from that bite. "Poison Fang...shoulda expected this..."

Mike's stomach turned upside down at Giovanni's proclamation. It wasn't so much what he said, but the fact that he looked directly at him when he said it, that sinister grin never fading from his lips. "A-ammunition?" Mike laughed nervously, looking at his friends. "I-I don't know what he's talking about! Ha...ha ha!" he forced out a laugh in hopes to ease the tension, but it only succeeded in making him look more suspicious. His head was pounding like a jackhammer; it hurt so bad. "Agh!" he clutched his head, hoping to quiet the thoughts racing around in his head...
Oh god, he knows! I don't know how he found out but he knows! That, that incident two years ago at Lilycove! It's all my fault. It's all my fault. It's all my fault. It's all my fault. It's all my fault. Ha. Ha. Ha. What am I going to do? If my secret gets out... How did he find out?! I was so careful! They're all dead. They're all dead. They're all dead. They're all dead. They're all dead. They're all dead. They're all dead. No! No no no! I can't let that happen! I'll take him out, I'll silence him! I'll, I'll kill him! Kill him! I'll kill him! I'll tear out his eyes and watch him squirm. He will beg for death when I'm done with him! Ha! I'll teach him to mess with me! I'm a fraud. I'm a fraud. I'm a fraud. I'm a fraud. I'm a fraud. I'm a fraud. I'm a fraud. I'm a fraud. I'm a fraud. I'm a fraud. I'm a fraud. I'm a fraud...I need a distraction! Something heroic! Yeah! Mike whipped around, looking for the perfect set-up. There! M.A. was cornered by a Rocket and her Pokemon looked in pretty bad shape. "Napalm!" he cried, launching his Pokeball into the air. "Go help M.A.!" His Pokeball flew like it was shot out of a cannon, clearing half the crowd and landing beside the melee. Out popped a very confused Magby, who had just a moment to survey the scene, before a stray lightning bolt whizzed by his face. What was going on? Was it a battle? Who was M.A? The severity of the situation sunk in when he saw a large human run up and attack a young boy, who screamed for help before being rescued by an older boy. This was no normal Pokemon battle, people were fighting each other. He had to find this girl and fast, she must be in danger! He looked around frantically, there were so many people, and he had to find someone in all this chaos!
One specific girl caught his eyes. He had never seen her before, nut she looked like the kind of girl Mike would hang around. Opposite of her were two bad looking people with similar outfits to the big man who attacked that boy earlier, and the girl on the left looked hurt! That must be her! Napalm gave a determined honk before racing towards the wounded girl and her Pokemon. Mike was counting on him to help this girl, and he was going to do it no matter what! The Magby slid in beside the girl, glaring daggers at the two dark-clad people. There was no time (or practical way) to explain, but he hoped she understood he was here to help.Back on stage, Mike was fighting to keep himself calm, and losing. "Giovanni, y-your evil deeds end today! I won't let you continue to terrorize the people of this region with your diabolical ways! Portabello! ATTACK THAT MACHAMP! MACH PUNCH!" The Breloom rushed forward, chalking up his Master usage a verbal command to the less-than-ideal situation. No matter, this simply put them on a level playing field. His right arm began to glow as he picked up speed, aiming for the Machamp's gut. He remembered his last battle with this Pokemon. He was forced to fight less than honorably, but that was different. They were rescuing Miss Nina, and he wasn't as strong as he was now. This fight would be different. This time he would win fair and square. Have at you! Portabello shouted, shooting through the air, his arm extended out like a jousting lance.

Whitney flinched suddenly, drawing her head back and away from Sabrina's hands, thus stopping the images flowing inside of her mind. "Whoa! What the hell? You were in a coma?!" she exclaimed. "You were hurt that badly?" The psychic nodded a little bit. "Yeah, I really was," she replied. "I hadn't realized the extreme severity of my injuries until I was told that my body had basically gone into shock, and because of the trauma it received, I just... well, I went under. So for a little more than half the time it's been since I've seen you all, I was comatose." Whitney tilted her head a little. "Only half the time?" she asked. "Well, like, what the hell were you doing for the other half; sitting around and plotting to just show up out of the blue and scare the hell out of your co-worker?" She grinned sheepishly. "Well no, not really. I knew that I'd have to come back someday, but I wasn't exactly sure how to do it, per se. Basically, ever since I came out of hiding, I've been emitting these powerful psychic waves of energy that messes with people surrounding me. It essentially projects my physical appearance to be that of what you saw before, when you met me as Vanessa. It's because of the fact that I can do this that I'm able to walk around freely and unnoticed. Nobody knows it's me, unless I lessen the energy that I'm emitting."
Whitney looked impressed. "So that's the only way that you can be recognized?" "Basically. But, I suppose if a strong enough psychic was around, he or she would be able to sense some sort of energetic interference, although I'm not too concerned with that. Not to sound haughty or anything, but my abilities are rather advanced-- more so than many of the psychics I've met before. So it's unlikely at best that anyone would be able to recognize me." "But if you're always doing this, always sending out those waves, doesn't that make you kinda weak?" "Somewhat, yes. If I were too weak or tired then I obviously wouldn't be emitting those waves, at which point I'd be identifiable. But, I've been doing this for such a long time now that I know how to pace myself and I'm not concerned I'd be caught in my 'normal' state." "That reminds me. What have you been doing since you came out of that coma?" "I spent some time recuperating, of course. I was discharged from the hospital and wandered from place to place in a physical disguise-- I changed my hair, clothes, things of that nature-- and I laid low. And after I got better--" She suddenly stopped speaking.
"We have to go, now. We're in danger."

Serenity found a bit of shelter not far away from the man with the helicopter and where she could see the entire battle take place. It became obvious that Team Rocket was out for blood for what ever reason. They weren't going to back down, and here she was suddenly defenceless and unable to get over to the poke-centre to get her team healed up. She rooted through her bag to see what she had available to help her out and found a bottle of potion down near the bottom. She hadn't remembered packing that. 'Alex must have thrown one of her spare ones in when I wasn't looking. I'll have to remember to give that girl a hug next time I see her.' Sere grasped George's pokeball and released him. The poor mudkip looked positively whiped from the last two battles.
"Sorry sweetheart, but I might need you later. This should help you to feel a little better." She explained to the pokemon. George nodded sleepily. Serenity took the cap off the bottle and sprayed the entire contents of it on her battle weary pokemon. Some of the scratches he had recieved from Rocky healed up, and he looked as though he a little more energy but not all of it back. "Okay back in the ball you go. I'll let you know if I need you again." She said kissing his head. Sere pushed the button and recalled him into the ball.
Serenity stood back up and peered around the corner of the building she was standing beside. From what she could see it looked like an all out melee of Rockets against other trainers. She watched as the man that had flown in on the helicopter got down off the plat form and entered the battle himself with his Dragonite. Sere noticed that she recognized a few of those people that were in the middle of that fight. One of them being Mike, the trainer she had first met when she started on her journy. One of the others was his friend, but she couldn't remember his name. She thought she saw the blonde head of Kasiya in there but it was so difficult to make too many more people out in the mosh pit. Something inside of Serenity told her that she needed to get in there and help. Team Rocket wasn't just using their pokemon to battle they were also using fists and anything else they had lying around, and she thought she heard the large man at the centre of everything mention something about 'Ammunition'? What on earth was supposed to be meant by that? Sere had a feeling that by the end of the day everything was going to be a mess.

"I saw what you did back there." Came a gruff male voice from behind Serenity. She turned around to face who ever belonged to the voice and came face to face with a member of Team Rocket that stood a good foot over her.
"W-What do you mean?" She stuttered. She hadn't done anything except battle a few of his teammates.
"The part where you beat the snot out of two of my teammates then turned around and stole one of their pokemon." He was now at a distance that was uncomfortable and seemed to be moving closer. She tried backing up more but there was a wall behind her.
"I d-didn't...d-didn't steal a-anything. S-she abandoned him." She tried to explain. His expresion showed that he didn't care what her explination was.
"How do I know that wasn't your whole plan all along? You can't steal from team Rocket."
"Excuse me?" Her temper was starting to kick in. "Do you really think that my standards are as low to steal absued and neglected pokemon? Don't you think that if I was going to steal a pokemon I would pick on that was better suited to defend me from you lot?" She stepped forward getting in his face some. He actually seemed to be a bit intimedated.
"That was my girl's pokemon." He countered.
"Well tell your 'girl' that if she wants a pokemon to grow up to be powerful she has to stop treating them like they were second rate slaves." She spat on him. She couldn't believe the audacity of these guys to think that they were too good to treat people and pokemon as good as they were.
The Grunt seemed to get pissed again. "You have a lot of nerve, little girl talking to me like that." He hissed.
"You have a lot of nerve thinking that you could just walk up to me and demand a pokemon that was misstreated and abandoned back."
The Grunt pushed her hard up against the wall, and Sere felt her shoulder pop. She screamed as the pain travelled down to her hand. She wondered who on earth gave these people the right to act this way. "I see what your real problem is." She said, her blood starting to boil now. "You're mad not because I picked up the broken pokemon, but because I kicked your girlfriends a**."

Kilik looked over at Mike. What's his deal? he thought, All of the sudden, he's sweatin' bullets. And... He felt Breloom dash passed him and watched as he went after the Machamp, He's attacking like he's got nothing to lose. I know he's hotheaded, but I've never seen Mike act irrationally. He clenched his fist. He's right though! "We won't stand by anymore! This is it! Bahamut!" he glanced over at his dragon, "Attack the Dragonite with your Dragon Claw!" She squealed and readied herself. Her tail swished about excitedly and her eyes narrowed on her target. "Kyooo!" she cooed, flying in towards the other mythical creature. A red light surrounded her body with faded blue lightening. Her small claws grew out and also began to glow with a faint blue light. Bahamut brought them down on Dragonite, screeching loudly as she did.
"Machamp, show that Breloom that you're still the top dog! Attack him with Mega Punch!" Giovanni swept his hand across the field, "And Dragonite, show that Flygon exactly what a real dragon is capable of with your own Dragon Claw! And as for you, girly..." his eyes narrowed on the Vaporeon, "My Tyranitar will oblige you with a Crunch attack!" A wide smirk appeared on his face. Just keep fighting me, kids. Even if you pull off a miracle, I'll still win! I always win! The mere thought caused him to let out a sinister laugh into the sky.
First up was Machamp. The four armed muscle head prepared himself, feeling the Mach Punch hit his rock hard abs. It didn't hurt too bad. He smirked. Now he was going to show that mushroom exactly how you should punch! He swung his lower left arm and smashed it into his target, then used his lower right to swing up and crack Portabello in the jaw in quite a mean uppercut. His two upper hands locked together and swung down on top of Breloom's head. "Maaaa...." to finish off his Mega Punch technique, all four fists pulled back and slammed into his foe, "CHAAAAMP!"
Secondly was Dragonite. The yellow Pokemon reacted just in time to avoid Bahamut's attack. "Ryuuuuu!!" he cried out, a flash of red light exploding off of him. He was then surrounded by a red aura, crackling with blue electricity. His claws, just like Bahamut's, grew out and began to glow. However, this light was not a faded blue but a rich deep navy. Kilik gasped, taking a step back. "Get out of there Bahamut! Go, go go!!" He knew for a fact that that's what an experienced Dragon Claw should look like and if Flygon were to be hit by it, she wouldn't be able to fight for much longer. Bahamut cried out and flew away in the nick of time, feeling her tail get slammed by the opponent's claws. This sent her spiraling out of control. She went towards her trainer, on a crash course. Her eyes opened suddenly and she focused, her wings flaring out as she took off into the sky. That hurt, but she was still able to fight!. Dragonite hovered for a moment, the red aura around him disappearing. Fighting this green thing was going to be a lot more fun than he had anticipated.
Finally was Tyranitar. The beast towered over his opponent by a good six feet. With that in mind, he was able to still move with surprising agility. He stomped through the sand, opening his mouth wide. "TYYYYYRAAAAAN!!" he roared, initiating his Crunch attack on poor Ariel.
Giovanni watched with the same cold eyes and smirk that he wore at times like these. Keep it up...You're playing right into my hands... He grabbed onto the railing of his platform, his hand tensing. This was the battle he'd been waiting for.

"Mother ********!" Keegan shouted upon realization that the Noctowl was aiming for him. He was starting to regret the last words he'd said, especially now that he was aware of the fact that Leo wasn't bluffing about the whole arranging-for-him-to-actually-have-cold-and-dead-fingers thing. He jumped off to the side as the Noctowl came at him, amazed that he had managed to not get hit by the oversized owl. He looked up at the sky in time to see Artemis join the fight, her gaze set on the Noctowl that had tried to use her trainer for target practice. "Gee, it's a good thing your Pokemon can't hit the broad side of a barn, otherwise that probably would have hurt!" the redhead yelled, nodding to Artemis. "Aerial Ace, babe, go!"
The blue and red bird trilled before doing a fancy loop in the air, claws ready to strike as she took aim on the Noctowl. She didn't like the fact that this human had his Pokemon try to attack her trainer, and now she planned to make them both pay for it.
((Aww, lookit the tiny wittle postie.))

The grunt backhanded Serenity. "I will teach you some respect." He growled at her.
"Like hell you will." Sere grunted. She leaned in and kneed him right in the sack. "I know enough about respect." The grunt collapsed to the ground and Sere took the time that he was incapacitated to run away.
'I need to get some where out of this mess! I'm not equiped to deal with this!' She thought while she frantically looked for a new place that she could hide. She looked over at the big battle, and felt a little guilty about not being able to go help. 'They have their mega strong pokemon though. They'll be okay.'
Every step she took sent pain in her useless left arm. Sere had to hold it close to her so that it didn't jostle so much. She spotted a bit of bushes that would work to hide her quite well. She didn't need to be drawing any more attention. Once things started to calm down she would have to make her way over to the centre so that she could get her self and her pokemon healed.
