@Tres: He'd have a difficult time squeezing Deity's legs together with his right curled around Tres' back.
Both that action and the hold on the neck occurred as Tres was bringing Deity to the ground, not afterward, which is when Tres is intending to perform his side control technique. Your original post (the mount) involved holding Deity's legs together after bringing him down, and Deity preempted it by preventing you with the positioning of the right leg before hitting the ground, cancelling your maneuver. Thus, this new action - starting with the same set-up of squeezing the legs together after hitting the ground - won't work for the same reason.

Yeah but as your back his about to hit the ground, my arms are around his legs preventing them from expanding outward
It doesn't matter though, because as long as my hips are up and your left leg is down, I can pass the guard as I did in my post.
So yeah.
Even if you did get the right leg around the back, he is passing the guard, which your not preventing because your half guard is wrong.
edit: So i'm basically saying your right leg is irrelevent.

Anyway....time for the daily ramblings of Terren: So, why do the call cars "cars"? That I have no idea. I mean, we could have called trees cars and cars trees. What made cars to be named cars? WHY CAN'T CARS BE CALLED TREES DAMN IT? That is all.

See Fierce diety the thing is, your legs don't have to be touching each other for Tres to do what he just did. He just squeezed them together to get a grip upon them. He is passing on your left side, the side where you didn't pull guard on. It would be different if your half gaurd was correct, but it is wrong and you didn't do anything to stop Tres from passing to side control.

HEY! Very seldom do I use MPH in fights, so thats out the window. OU is THE BEST college EVER! Never used the term "shmexy", unless your counting now, but then that doesn't count. And if your refering to my Bi and Proud siggy, and your against it...YOU CAN GO SCREW YOURSELF! Don't discriminate because of my sexual prefrence.

Designated Hero Also, lol @ ground fighting. He has already lost, which is usually the case with groundfighting. The trick is making them understand why. That is definitely the hardest part.

So I've used it once, big deal. Also, if I want to flaunt my sexuality, I will. If your discriminating about me flaunting it, get a life. I don't care. But I will tell you one thing, you make any mean jibes about it, I will tell Vin that I won't fight you because of the discrimination...I get it from my family and people around me enough IRL that I don't need it on the net, usually people leave that alone. Also, if you continue to jibe at me about my flaunting my sexuality, I will be forced to put you on my ignored list.
