Tokeru watched the hunter run up to meet him. She must be really new here Tokeru grinned and flexed his white wings. He looked her up and down, she seemed like someone he could trust, but his instincts told him to be careful, he remembered the last time he trusted a woman.
"Well, they might come, and they might not. To tell you the truth, it doesn't really matter if they do come. The target is a lycan/vampire clan. They have around 30 members. They are all exiles from their covens and have banded together. The leader of this group has information i need to stop Draegan from releasing his thrice-bedamned virus on this city. I really don't need any help for this mission, but since there are quite a few of them, and i need the leader alive, i can't just blow up the house and then pick through it for survivors now can i."
Tokeru grinned at her as he waited for her response.

Liora's grin closed into a tight-lipped, playful smirk. Though it was not entirely apparent, her mind was constantly calculating and taking notes. She'd often compared her thought-process to a computer: new information was catagorized and then the more important tidbits were emphasized. Currently, the names 'Draegon' and the mention of some 'virus' were highlighted by her brain. They pulsed through her mind in 100 point, bold font and completely piqued her interest. However, the hunter's behavior when he spoke of these things was too matter-of-fact; Liora could not possible ask any questions without revealing exactly how new she was.
"Hm. Pride cometh before a fall, as the saying goes. You were wise to summon assistance whether or not you needed it. It's foolish to even attempt such a task solo- there might be some information that eluded you previously."
Liora felt the urge to smoke another Salem prior to heading after her new 'target', but she abruptly remembered that she was without a light. It would have been prudent of her to purchase a lighter while she had the chance. Then again, there'd been no way for her to know that she'd encounter a NYH so soon.
"Don't tempt me with the pyrotechnics; I have a slight fetish for things that go 'boom'. But, if it's their leader you need, I'll be more than willin' to help. You might just have to point him out to me, so I don't inadvertedly dispose of your little mark."

Tokeru smiled at the new hunter and laughed. "I think we'll get along just fine you and i. By the way, my name is Tokeru."
Tokeru took a deep bow as he registered this hunter. There was something familiar about her. She wasn't human, that much was sure. She could be a vampire or she could be a lycan. He did not know yet. But his instincts leaned more towards lycan than vampire. He would have to ask, but then again, asking usually got him into more trouble than it was worth.
Oh, this one will do nicely, take care of her little puppet, you will need her
That voice again He thought, not letting any emotion show on his face, he rose from his bow and waited for her response

Liora flashed Tokeru a crooked smile. His comment assured Liora that she'd successfully managed to get on the good side of her first hunter acquaintance. Another mental pat on the back was certainly in order. Being on Tokeru's 'good-side' certainly would help Liora get her foot in the door when it came to the trust-department, but she was still disinclined to ask too many tyro-type questions. It simply was still not the right time; the fact that she and Tokeru were preparing to face thirty or so enemies made this even more apparent. If she were Tokeru, Liora knew that she would not feel comfortable fighting beside someone who hasn't even been inducted into the Haven. He most likely suspected the true nature of her race already, for her golden-hued eyes were a bit of a giveaway. She didn't need to present him with anymore reason not to trust her.
"Yes, I believe we shall." she replied. Her smile remained unfaltering on her face. "You can call me Li, but most of the Lycans, Vampires and Demons I've faced swear I'm the Grim Reaper."
Gathering the skirt of her scarlet dress in her hands, Liora proceeded to curtsy rather comically in response to Tokeru's bow. By the glimmer of amusement present on the edges of her lips and in her eyes, it was obvious that she intended the gesture to be rather humorous and ironic.
She was glad that Tokeru had only given her his first name. That allowed her to be rather coy and only present him with a rather vague nickname of hers. She sincerely doubted that he'd be able to trace the name 'Li' back to 'Liora'. Her name was an unusual one, and it was easy to conceal with a common label.

Albert finally reached his mother's house. The doorman opened the door for him, and he stepped inside. The doorman went to his desk and waved Albert over to him.
"Who're you here for?" The doorman asked. "Danny! Don't you remember me?" Albert replied. "Whoa! Is that really you Al? Whatcha been up to, guy?" Danny was suprised. "Oh... Nothing special really. How's my mom?" Albert asked. "Oh, she's fine! Want me to ring her up?" He offered. "Nah, I'll do it myself, 'kay Dan?" "Sure! Just, don't let your mom go on a rampage. Remember what happened last time." Danny reminded him. "Yeah... I still have the marks."
Albert waved him off, then hit the button for the elevator. He waited for a few seconds and the elevator arrived. A few people got out and went into the streets of New York. Albert got into the elevator quickly, hit the 12th floor button. As he waited for the elevator to arrive, he became pensive and thought about what he was going to do when he finally sees his mother and sister.
What should I do? Mom doesn't like the fact that I'm a Hunter. She also doesn't like my guns. What to do... What to do... Maybe, I'll just tell her I'm in a bit of a hurry. She'll be okay with that... I guess.
The elevator reached the 12th floor without stop and Albert got off almost immidiatly. He felt... Paranoid. Albert knocked on his mother's door... No one was answering for a while. Albert became incredibly nervous. He was about to knock again until Claris finally answered the door, with one of her hands in her eye.
"Al! What're you doing here!?" Claris said, shocked to her brother. "I'm here for a brief visit, I don't see my family too often, ya know?" Al replied. "Come on in then. Mom's been kind of worried. You know she doesn't li--" "I know Clar, I know. But, I can't let you two be killed, you two are important to me!" Al cut her off in midsentence.
Claris smiled and moved aside to let Albert in. He sat down at the table across the room, near the window, looking out at the people below.
"So, where's mom?" Albert asked. "She's asleep right now. Why don't you stay here until tommorrow, that'll suprise here, the old coot." Claris giggled. "Heh, sure! Do I still have my old room?" Albert asked. "Yeah, but we were trying to make use of it. Someone was going to buy it, but he was killed by a Lykan-thingy two days ago. It was a shame. Mom and I got a little scared." Claris explained. "Oooh, that sounds nasty. Anyway, I'm going to go to bed, you should as we--" "Oh! Albert!!" A voice called from across the room. "Mom!" Albert annunciated. "You're awake..." Claris identified.
Albert got up, walked to his mother and hugged her. "It's nice to see you again, honey. How's my little boy." Albert's mother squealed. "I'm not exactly 'little' anymore mom. I'm taller than you." "You'll always be my 'little boy,' Albert. So what brings you here?" "I'm here on a brief visit, I've got to go back soon. Got a meetin' to go to." "I see, well, it was nice of you to come by and visit." "Have you and little Claris been well?" "Yes, and she's as bullheaded as ever." "What's that supposed to mean, mom!?" Claris interjected. "Well, it seems everything is going well. Guess you don't need my help. I have to go now, doigan (Bye)." "Doigan, Gneit Leung." His mom said. "Bye, Al!" Claris smiled.
Albert went down to the front of the appartment building and waved Danny goodbye. Albert walked over to the corner of Hudson and Jane, stood under the light, and stargazed for a bit in the eastern distance near the Hudson river.

Tokeru arcehd an eyebrow upon hearing the name of the fellow hunter. He smiled again and said rather sarcastically. "Well, ms. Li. Shall we wait a little longer before moving out. Or shall we go hunt them down now." Upon saying that he threw back his cloak to reveal the dual scimitars, the many throwing knives, the pulse canon, his many grenade and his modified Desert Eagle.
"Either way, i have plenty of things to do to occupy my time. If you get my meaning."
He drew the DEagle and started picking off birds, each shot eliminating the bird from existence. The only evidence, was the spray of blood left behind.

Liora shrugged. She was really beginning to regret not packing her M&P15A rifle, but Liora figured her katana and revolver would do the trick. Besides, her lack of ammunition would make things more...interesting.
"You estimate that there are 30 lycans and vampires there?" she restated, quirking an eyebrow. "30 to 2. Hah! I do believe the odds are in our favor. I don't think we need to wait for the reinforcements."
Liora reached over her shoulder and caressed the hilt of her katana with her fingertips. She felt the allure of its leather-bound hilt and sensed the blade's need for blood. Or, rather, her need for blood. Her heart began to pound violently again, and she felt the precursors of an adrenaline rush through her blood. She was a huntress, and Liora was lusting after the thrill of the hunt.
"Unless, of course, you wish to continue cleansing the streets of New York clean of the dreaded pidgeon-scum. Some wealthy BMW-owner would most likely thank you for destroying another windshield-soiling bird."
One by one, Liora removed her fingers from the hilt of her katana and allowed her hand to fall limp at her side. The decision was ultimately his; who was she to rush him? She knew nothing of her targets in this mission.

Tokeru reloaded his desert eagle and reholstered it. "Pigeons? I think you need to look a bit closer at them. Oh wait, you can't. They're gone. never mind. Just follow me, and stay behind me. If i dont need to, i'd prefer to resolve this peacefully. And if we do need to fight, don't kill the small one. It's the leader."
Tokeru opened his wings, lept into the air, and beconed for her to follow. Without even waiting, he sped off towards the exile's base.

The moment Tokeru leapt of the building, Liora sighed and frowned in mild annoyance. He'd instructed her to 'stay behind' him- something that Liora had a hard time with. Being a very assertive woman, 'staying behind' simply was not an option for her, especially if things got messy. However, Liora deduced that it would be best to obey and act submissive to Tokeru's plans. She was an actress; playing such a role would be a walk in the park. She would stand behind Tokeru for tonight and tonight only. Liora would try to take care of things peacefully with this rogue group of lycanthropes and vampires. She would spare the little man and filch what information she could from both the leader and Tokeru. All other times...well, she'd play the kick-a** heroine role she was born to play.
"Let's do this."
She observed Tokeru for a moment before leaping off the building and onto the ground before. He was moving at such a speed that she would have to rely on her lycanthropic speed and agility. Her heightened abilities she despised, but Liora had to admit that they had their uses. Now was such a time. Liora sprinted behind Tokeru, easily keeping up with his speed despite her heels. Her smile returned slowly as her speed slowly induced a thrill in her.

Albert looked at a few shadowed that ran across at a fairly fast speed. To Albert, he didn't normally see this everday. He took this as a chance to gain some expirience in the hunting field. He donned his hood and zipped up his hoodie and raced after the two figures. As he drew closer to one of the two, he realized that it was the person he had bumped into earlier before. He continued to follow her in the shadows to get a closer eye on her and her subordinate she was following.

Amidst the melting-pot of city smells, Liora became away of the scent of another individual. A peculiar scent at that. The hairs of her nape stood on end, and her intuition pounded out a warning in her temple. She and Tokeru were being pursued. Continuing her frantic pace without pausing, Liora focused her senses on the individual behind her. Her sharp hearing was able to pinpoint their tail's precise location, and she was able to hear every footstep her follower took. Okay, so her heightened senses certainly had their perks, especially in situations like this.
Liora decided it was time to confront her little shadow.
Whirling swiftly on her heel while simultaneously pulling out her revolver, Liora spun around to confront her tail. Her golden eyes gleamed dangerously, and her facial expression meant business even though a subtle smile danced across the edges of her lips. When her gaze focused on her shadow, Liora realized what about her shadow's scent had struck her as peculiar. Her shadow was niether lycan nor vampire nor demon, but human. In all likelyhood, this was another hunter rather than a foe. Nevertheless, Liora decided to be more safe than sorry. She leveled the revolver at her shadow before making her demands.
"Friend or foe? Why are you tailing us? Speak wisely, or I may silence you for good."

Tokeru looked back to see that Li was holding her own. He sped up, challenging her to catch up to him. He knew that she was more than human, and judging from her speed, he was thinking lycan. Almost all the facts were in. Li was a nickname. For some reason she didn't want to divulge her full name to him, even though he had offered his. She didn't want him to know about her past, or her abilities. It seemed to him that her distrust of others ran even deeper than his own. He would withhold any judgment about her untill the fight came. And there would be a fight. The exile would not go quietly, that was for sure. But there was always hope.
Before he had gone far, he sensed that Li had stopped. He decided to land on a building and see how it played out.

Albert chuckled softly and smirked almost evilly. The glare from his eyes, looking straight into hers. "Who's to say, honey. I can't really decide that for myself. Let's put it this way, I'm following you for a personal gain." Albert stood upright and shook his head to get his hair out of his face,"You know? I really can't get my hair to stay out of my eyes, it's rather distracting. But anyway, you can call me 'Feather.' Don't ask, you'll only get confused. Heh heh." Albert's presence wasn't exactly a type to pose as evil, his heart is too soft for such a thing.
While holding a tough front on the outside, he was still cautious of Llora. He had his hands set to where he could pull out one of his handguns at any moment. "So, where're you goin'? You seemed to be in a hurry, I'll gladly join ya. I've got nothing to hide. Not even alliance."

Liora smirked. Personal gain, eh? A kid after her own heart, but Liora still disliked being talked down to. She must have swallowed half a dozen tart replies before finally tilting her revolver back and away from Feather. There was no use starting a trifle with someone who appeared to be a rather makeshift ally instead of a foe. After a moment, Liora returned her trusty revolver completely to its holster. If this kid seemed inclined to turn on her, she wouldn't waste ammunition on him. She would tear his throat out with her bare teeth, simple as that. Or, on second thought, not as simple as that. Liora recognized thoughts that stemmed from her wolf-instincts and could easily differentiate between such thoughts and those of her own design. Throat-ripping was not something she would have indulged in prior to being turned, and therefore it must be eschewed. Her small rush had conjured her predatory instincts; she would have to be just as mindful of her own actions as she was of the actions of her acquaintances.
" You can call me Li, Feather." she spoke calmly. "And whether you're allowed to join us is up to Tokeru, there."
Liora jerked her head towards where Tokeru had perched.
"I see no reason why you shouldn't join us. The more the merrier, after all."
Though she appeared willing to let Feather tag along, Liora was by no means prepared to trust either of the men. Both were hunters, and both could get her where she wanted to be. Personal gain, indeed. She'd been hunting alone for far too long.

He stalks silently across the rooftops, continuing to follow the odd couple who had dashed off from that building emanating the strange noise. It had been a quiet call from the distance to Haven, but had gotten increasingly annoying to the point of his choosing to block it out to a large degree via Prana Bindu. He had left SN in her own charge for awhile, figuring that the practice would more benefit her than him for the grander scheme. He would return if he sensed a change in either of their Auras significant enough to draw his attention. But for now, he noticed a 3rd figure entering the scene, one of the original couple halting to speak to the new arrival, and the first man crouching across the square on the roof opposite. He quiets his Aura and Awareness projection in the same fashion he had used back near Haven, his interest piqued...
