"Well you already have most of it down, don't you?" Rarely confrontational with his father but he was upset and angry in several ways right now and it made him thus. If he was three, he'd be throwing a tantrum right now. "I am so sick of how Kaelin acts when it comes to her supposed mother. Whom that woman isn't even that to her, only tried to act like. I solved the problem."

Pincing the bridge of his nose lightly.
"You went there? of all the foolish things you've done yet..."
shaking his head lightly. His son obviously let his emotion get the better of him. this could be a political nightmare if this got to the wrong people...which it always did. damned gossip mongers.
"Alright. your heart was in the right place, but your head needed to think more. I'm not getting involved this time with Vesendar. Remember they are simple minded in there. if you don't tell them how to behave, you might not get the result you want."
Before going back upstairs to his wife.
"Our oldest certainly takes after me in some respects. but this was one I wish he took after you."

"Be dissapointed all you want with me...I don't care." He was that upset about things, beause as Malik knew he held his father's approval in high regard. He didn't really understand his father's parting message...didn't know if he even wanted to anyway. He sat there a bit longer before he got himself up, and headed back outside to grab Jerick and just ride off into the underdark in no particular direction. He couldn't be home and Zykariel lived in Vesendar...so he was on his own now.

shaking his head and leaving it at that, though grabbing his sword a moment and issuing orders that normally went with someone in one of those rooms, before sitting down on the edge of the bed by his wife again.
"So how was the food? get enough to eat or do you need anything else?"

"No you dont, how's the food, hovering? That's it?" If that was his answer then something was obviously wrong. More so if Malik was wishing that the boy wasn't taking after him. Sword grabbing also gave a few clues and now she wasn't so easily sated with his over protective or her junk. "Are you honestly asking me about food when your son is having an issue that even you don't want to talk about?"

"Alright, alright."
putting up his hands lightly.
"He went after Kaelin's mother, got himself stabbed in the arm with something, dragged her back here for some reason and threw her in one of the breaker rooms. he was sitting across from it starin g at the door like he was hoping to hear the sounds she might make. fortunately the one he picked was the one I stuck sevilin in a long time ago that was soundproofed."
Shaking his head lightly.
"As much as I dislike the situation Kaelin was in, this is not the way to go about it. there will be repercussions, I'm sure. either family ones, or political ones."

"Gee...I wonder where he got that idea from idneed." Though now was not the time to point fingers either. They had something bigger on their hands didn't they. "And you left him down there to sit and brood?" Brushing her bangs from her face with a sigh, oh this was not good. "Let him deal with the repercussion, that's fair enough. But are you really just going to let him think it's okay to do all of this just because it's in his means to be able to?" Shaking her head, "No one ever said you did smart things when you're in love." Oh yes, she knew about that too.

"He's never seen what those rooms do. he knows what they are there form and what goes on, but he's never seen it. I'm hoping when that door opens the first time, and he sees the real results of his actions, he'll either stop it himself...or at the least not get the idea to put anyone else in there."
a shrug.
"And honestly...I think if I'd tried to move him he probably would have fought me on it physically if need be. and neither of us are supposed to be doing much right now under Zahara's order."

"Malik. You've taken him down there before and he's quite well aware of what things look like when they come out of there. You've given that hard lesson before....he knows what he's doing." Which perhaps was the more upsetting part. Getting herself up despite his shrugging and heading for the door. "You always choose to listen to Zahara at the wrong times, I swear you men." She'd just handle this herself.

She shoved her hands through her hair and glanced down at the nightgown now spotted with Malikhai's blood. "No...I thought she was my mother.I just found out that she's not. Malikhai's probably going to kill her and I-I don't know how to feel..."
Zahara tilted her head and smiled at Cymarron, then brushed at her nose self-consciously. "Is it that obvious, Cymarron? I was trying so hard to hide it..." Shaking her head for a moment before she moved back and sat down on the bed where she'd sobbed her heart out before her husband had come in. "I don't want to lose Piper and I don't know if she's strong enough to have this baby."
The pillar of fire hadn't increased its movements, in fact, it had decreased them. Slowing down to bounce amiably along like the flare of a torch in a dark cave before a great deal of the outer flare died down enough to reveal the shape of a man. He glowed with an otherworldly light, lifting his hands and scouting out the area. When he found the glowing arch hidden in a cave, he smiled and stepped through...right into the Underdark. Now to find what he'd come here searching for.

"We are, first and formost, a hunter. we can smell the salt of tears and see their streaks even on dark faces."
plopping down in his usual crouch.
"You are concerned that she will not have a kit, or concerned she will not survive the kit?"
Malik shadowstepped himself in front of her, placing a hand on her chest.
"No you're not. I'll handle it. you're getting back in bed. you know the rules and you have to conserve your strength. and what I meant by that following orders is that Malikhai is my son, but he's also an adult, withte hfull strength and power of one. you really want to injure him further or have him tear at my leg again? he was not himself."
a frown lightly, before getting her back in bed.
"I'll handle our son, you take care of our daughter."
Before going back downstairs...and finding an empty seat. before opening the door to the breaker room and ushering the Breakers out of it, and standing in the room looking down at the woman there.
"You crossed a line that shouldn't have been crossed, and underestimated my son's care for your 'daughter'."
Kneeling down lightly.
"But I think you've suffered quite enough. So we have some options. I can send you back to Vesendar...with your word that you'll not interfere with my son or Kaelin again. I can kill you, ending your pain and probably the reveries nightmares you'll have for the rest of it. Or I can take you and your 'husband' and send you off plane. I'll give you a few minutes, but I have other things to do so be quick."

Wow...that wasn't a good thing. "Well, if you take the time to sit up, breathe, and just clear your head for a moment then maybe the answer would come to you on how to feel about it all. Worth a shot anyway."
"Adult or not doesn't meant anything sometimes." Damn that shadow stepping, it always literally put him in front of her. No, the boy wasn't himself that much was clear. He was acting like his father used to act because he knew exactly what could be brought out from it all. Piper merely continuted to give him the unhappy look of her as he more or less ushered her back to bed and she plopped on it's edge and crossed her arms in defiant fashion. He got once chance.

Who was this woman anyway? Kaelin decided her advice might be worth following though, and took a moment to think back over her feelings about the woman she'd thought was her mother. Much to her surprise, she found a bitterness that had been growing for quite some time. A resentment that went deeper than she would have ever believed possible. And with it, a pain that slashed low and deep and caused Kaelin to cry out like a wounded animal and wrap her arms around herself. It was just so wrong.
It just wasn't possible to hide things from a Vah, regardless of how much one might like to. "She won't survive. Her body isn't mean to bear many children like mine is. I've had five and could probably have about five more before my body began to break down as well. We all have limits and it's only because of Piper's youth and otherwise good health that she's made it as far as she has."
"It does not concern you, Malik D'vinn. Your spawn," she spat the words through a mouthful of blood, "stole my slave girl and I want her back. No right. She is mine." Throwing back her head and laughing maniacally.
It didn't take long for the figure to make it through the caves and glance around the Underdark. Of course the moment he stepped through, the flames engulfed him once more. He didn't trust underground places and this one had a menacing quality to it as well.

Galesen blinked as something just struck him, not literary but he felt something press gently down on his mind. Blinking he quietly got out of his seat and began to walk. He wasn't paying attention to anyone so whoever he bumped into didn't get an apology or anything. Soon he exited Twilight and began to look around until he saw a speck of light in the distance. "Oh...crap." Quickly he rushed back inside. "Where is Malik!? Where is he?!"
