Rhator would not be made fun of, even with his wounds he would chase after them. His bloodrage made his eyes glow a fiery red. His weapon was his most prized posession, taking it was worse than theft in Rhator's eyes.

"I'LL KILL YOU BOTH!!!" he screams at the top of his lungs, most likely scaring the s**t out of the already terrified mortals in the building below him. He was still in midair as most of this happened.

As he landed, his weight caused the building's ceiling to finally cave in, the rubble coming down into the top level stairwell. He decided to fix his wings before chasing the fleeing vampires. He could follow their aura trails, carrying that heavy a weapon for long would wear the older vampire out.

He broke through the wall of a nearby apartment and saw a couple sitting terrified on the couch. The female mortal screamed. Rhator gouged her throat out. The man tried to punch Rhator in the face, instead his arm was broken by a swift grab from Rhator. He then speared his hand through the man's chest, killing him instantly.

He proceeded to use a basic demon spell to use their life force to repair his own. You could see the bluish white wisps of the human's souls rising from their bodies and being absorbed into Rhator.

His focused the life force into his wings, forcing them to heal. It was a painful process, one that he would normally let happen at its own rate, but he wanted revenge. He then focused on the holes made by the woman's bullets. The bullet stuck in his armor still sizzled against his skin. He ripped off that piece of his armor, letting the bullet fall to the ground.

His wings were now repaired enough to fly. He broke through two more rooms, scaring the inhabitants badly but leaving them live. He then slammed out of the brick wall holding the building up and spread his massive wings. With one stroke he was already after the two vampires and rapidly gaining.

A night in the city. Just wandering around. Could it be spent any better? It's dark, there aren't that many cars in the streets. A few lights are dim from their time spent lighting the city. Still, a lot of people linger on the streets, their destinations unknown. A few are smoking, some talking to colleauges or friends, others are drunk. Just like the New York we remember.

I stepped out for a little visit to my mother's. It has been a while since I last saw her. I also wonder how Claris is doing. I hope she's okay.

"Oh! Sorry!" I sputtered suddenly. I bumped into someone. How careless of me. Well, nothing else to do but keep walking.

The entertainment of walking had its limits, or so Liora discovered. She swiftly tired of parading aimlessly about the city. Staying on the move as she was, Liora knew that she was just as likely to encounter a large pack of lycanthropes as she was to encounter a lone hunter. Liora would not be surprised in the least if she stumbled across the former first, given her current streak of 'luck'.

Her golden eyes settled on a small, diminuitive building nestled inbetween two taller buildings. The windows were boarded up, and the place seemed to have run out of business months or even years ago. A tattered slip of yellow paper was nailed on the door, no doubt a notice of some sorts of another. Though most humans would view it as an eyesore, Liora had once viewed it as a jackpot. It seemed the perfect fodder for some lycanthrope or vampire meeting-place, but Liora knew from past experience that the building was deader than a headless vampire. She'd passed it several times already during her stay in New York City, and each time she spied no activity behind its closed windows. The building did, however, serve as a landmarker for her. Across from the boarded-up building shone the cheap neon sign of a nondescript drug-store.

Leaving her katana outside for just a moment, Liora stepped inside to purchase a pack of Salems. The cashier was a greasy old man with probing eyes, and he was short on both teeth and brains. Though he tended to vex Liora greatly, he sold the cigarettes at the lowest price, and penny-pinching Liora always was a sucker for the cheapest goods. It amazed her to think that just two months ago she'd been rapidly heading towards the sublime state of being wealthy. So much for that.

After retrieving her trusty sword, Liora walked a ways further up the road and out of the view of the cashier's hungry eyes before stopping to light a cigarette. The cheap bic lighter she used spent its last fuel on the cig she was enjoying now, so she tossed it aside in disgust. Then, Liora inhaled deeply through the cig. The nicotine calmed her nerves immediately, and the taste cleansed her mouth of the cruddy city air aftertaste she'd come to despise. She smiled in content to herself, and she casually leaned against a building to enjoy her smoke. Sure, she had been clean from smoking for about two weeks; quitting cold-turkey was something Liora knew she was completely incapable of even then. However, she figured she deserved this little break now. With her heightened healing abilities, the cigarette probably didn't even harm her anymore. This was a lousy excuse for the disgusting habit, but any excuse was good enough.

That was when someone bumped into her. Liora's eyes remained emotionless as she observed the individual.

"Excuse you." she chided them gently in a voice that was not at all cruel. Then, she returned her attentions to her smoke.

Tokeru, exhausted from his fight, landed on a building. He was issuing a silent call throughout the hunter systems, hoping one would pick up and join him in his hunt. His next target was more dangerous than those vampires. And he had learned nothing from them. There would be no rest for him this night.

All throughout the city, all hunters with beepers were alarmed to a message. A message saying, "Tokeru needs help, the big hunt is on".
The message also contained the co-ordinates of his position.

Just as she sight of Hunter's, and the safety that it provided for her, she sensed him coming...and fast. Grinning as she say Astande waiting for her, she gave him a small wink before sliding to a stop, drawing both magnums fluidly as she whirled around to face him where he was coming straight for her.

She did not fire however, til she saw him...and then it was as off all hell had broken loose. She released at least 6 shots at him, four from the right Desert Eagle, three from the left. While they were rapid, that did not mean that they were not aimed. Most were aimed right for the head, still the demonic aimed ammunition Astande had given her before thier little encounter ever began. As these were surely not enough to stop an enraged oni, she was quick to be on the move so as to not present a stationary target.

Rhator saw the female vampire turn and saw the muzzle-flare of guns firing. He folded his wings back to keep them protected and to allow for gravity to let him drop below the bullets. The whole time he was hutrling at the vampire with stunning speed. The bullets whizzed mere centimeters above his head. Rhator caught a whiff of the scent of burning hair. He was as angry as ever, his mind a buzzing of mental curses that he could not utter in such a state, his jaw locked into place and grinding his teeth. After the bullets had passed he flapped downward and back. This motion allowed him to raise up a little higher so his body wasn't scraping building tops and it also propelled him even faster, if that were possible. He had almost caught up to the female vampire by now. Flying only a few feet back and 10 ft above her.

Sensing that he was following her, a fanged grin became visible as she suddenly stopped just when he would have caught up with her. Now behind him, she used teh brief instant where he would have lost her to fir off another three rounds, all aimed for the junction of his wings to his back. It would be a lot easier to fight something on the ground than in the air. Again, she did not stick around to see what was the result. Instantly, she was on the move again, a flash of black leather every once in a while as the moonlight shone off of it for an isntant.

Rhator suddenly lost the vampire in his vision, it was as if she disappeared. Then he realized what happened.

s**t!

The bullets all struck home, goring into the joints where his wings met his back. The pain was unbearable, even for an oni. He landed on the nearest rooftop as fast as he could, his feet skidding on the concrete. He did the only thing he could, he grabbed both wings and ripped them free of his body, the tendons snapping like so many rubber bands. He pulled and dislocated the bones and muscle. With one final heave, he ripped his wings clean off, his black blood matting the rooftop.

He threw the black-feathered wings off to the side, not really caring about them. With enough souls he could grow them back, though he was not looking forward to that painful experience. His body was now much lighter and his frame much smaller. His armor still remained, protecting most of his limbs, except for the forearm piece he had ripped off earlier. He then made a move after the vampiress. Leaping the buildings like nothing, and leaving small craters behind on the rooftops. Once she was in sight he ran as hard as he could, though not nearly as fast as he could move with his wings.

The Large delivery doors from the back alleyway open silently, the shadows covering his form completely. He shuts the door behind him, his delivery complete. He watches Kerri for a moment, wating for a slight opportunity to present itself. He masks his presence through Seinshinteki Kyoyo, kneeling down as he stalks to the edge of the alley in the manner of a patient reaper, awaiting his moment of deadly announcement...

She couldnt help but smile as she watched him, through the darkness, rip hisown wings off. Sadistic, she knew, but at the same time a sense of pleasure rippled through her...and her eyes faded from their normal vibrant green to a deep crimson, her fangs enlongating ever so slightly. It was then that she felt his presence rushing at her once more.

"Persistant son of a b***h, aren't you," she muttered softly to herself, a sort of menacing gleam in her eye. Crouching low to the ground, she timed herself perfectly to his moment of arrival, pushing off backwards into a perfect backflip, and aiming to land a few feet away from him. However, as she was in the middle of her arc, she drew two shredder glaives from their holders on the back of her belt and sent them flying towards him. True, they were normally used for vampires and lycans...but right now they would serve their purpose as a sort of distraction.

While he would have to deal with those somehow, one aimed directly for his chest, the second heading straight for his neck, she began to close the gap between them rapidly, aided by the speed boost her new...self...seemed to give her.
