Wow, that's really horrible, Proto. Well i'd give you a hug if i could, or maybe some duct tape to put over the little hole in that balloon of yours.
I dunno, even if people talk s**t about your dreams it feels like you might as well try to move towards them a little. Even if it's only a little hobby you can manage to do after the workday, it might turn up big.
But i dunno, as i said, i'm not that close to my family so i probably don't really understand.

Actually...Kouri-chan...it's worse than that. crying My mom happens to be a genius at drawing. Lucky me, right? Even replicating and realism/shading techniques are like...taking a walk down the street for her. I heard the following story at least a hundred times so far: of how when she was little, some dude crashed into my grandmother and she broke her leg. The culprit, of course, ran for it. Her brothers+sisters blamed her after that, because she couldn't accurately describe the culprit (with limited words).
So she just sat there and sketched, and drew out a realistic match of the culprit's face... My grandpa gave it to the police, and that's how they found the dude for reparations. The police actually wanted to train that talent and have her take an examination, but then later she met my dad and wanted to go to the U.S. instead (back then U.S. was like...the golden country).
She showed me two old posters (on those thin Chinese paper...not ricepaper...) she drew of two kittens and another of a movie star. My uncle went and lost the kitten one, I was pretty mad at him. The posters....well, the kittens playing with the yarn was SO cute! T^T And the movie star one...like a photograph... And she replicated the world map from the dictionary (saw her draw it out)...so I still have that hanging in the house too.
She takes a lot of pride in "natural talent" and how "talentless" artists like me should just give up even trying. But thanks to her, even if the criticisms feel like stabs from a knife...my art did improve. Humph. I may not have the natural flair but I can practice... xP

Yeah...two weeks of nothingness. I love winter break...next is spring break.

I live across the street from a all Asian school./academy..not gonna lie, they don't have recess and it's from ages 2 to 12. It's scary!

As for my choice of career, I've got a tyrant granny who wants me to be a doctor, but other than that the world is pretty open.

Although you have to admit the Sharingan is pretty good. Just imagine a Chunnin exam with a dude beating everyones a** and is feared throughout the exam.
