sweatdrop There's a serious problem if the owner and the seniors aren't enjoying themselves...
It'd be nice if Gaia would implement a regular member ranking for guilds...that way...special sects of members could interact apart from others....
Not meaning any offense, but I'd honestly rather RP with members who've been here almost as long as me...or anyone from the RPR's first year..
I mean....there aren't many originals left.....I think..Chaos Sakura(Creator_Destroyer) is the oldest member above me.... sweatdrop

It would be a good idea, and Gaia just might implement it soon enough. They have made so many changes so rapidly.
I wish that she would re-run her Japan RP. It looks great according to what I have read in the archives.
Tana was back for a while but, back then, you were still gone.

I wanted to do a remake of the Feudal Japan Revolution, but with a different timeline...maybe sometime around the Warring States time...Toyotomi Hideyasu, Oda Nobunaga, Fuma ninja etc...
Makes for alot more variety of characters...and it's not that hard for research...
Pretty much He likes him...he Wants his land...he doesn't like him too much...blah blah... sweatdrop

I, a while back, had thought of a random roleplay, while in the car riding somewhere (I think we were heading home from somewhere)...
It reminds me of Tenchi, though...
Space cruize around the galexy.... Asian based society(kinda like in Serenity/Firefly, if you've ever seen them)... space pirates, really advanced technology, ect.
just something I dont beleve i've seen anywhere, yet...

*nods* I haven't been here that long, but I would be interested in a feudal Japan rp and I haven't had a good REALLY literate one really, but I want to try...the last one that came close was the vampire one that Ivellias made in some other guild but it died cry
the trouble with very literate rp's as I see it is that some people are more literate than others, and on some days you just get writer's block. Also sometimes you don't want to go too much in depth because you want to leave room for the other person's reaction or action, so you type a paragraph instead of two. And sometimes people just don't give you enough to work off. MEH!
EDIT: You also always have that one random person who is more interested in being the absolute center of attention than working with the story line-this person has a tendancy to be quite as literate as the other people and they get REALLY annoying!
A good rp would be useful cause it would get my mind off the worsening condition of the ED

OMG....I just love DTT's idea for a Firefly/Serenity styled RP....
I absolutely loved that show and the movie...and It would be a great experience, since it incorporates Historical, Action, Sci-fi, Mecha, Adventure.....
I'm up for it... surprised

I've never seen Bleach (or heard of it before these forums), Never seen Serenity/Firefly...
I could get in on the thing from Historical Rome and Japan though. That would be teh awesomeness.

That does sound intruiging, Goosey.
That type of glaive wasn't solely invented in "Blade". It has been used in various games like Warcraft 3 (Race: Night Elves, Units: Huntress/Glaive Thrower). They are more like giant shuriken in that, though.

Hum...My favs would have to be Malcolm for being a stupid idiot and a badass....and Wash for his irony....
I find that they really changed River in the movie...made her much more important...scary too... eek
It's too bad they ended the show early...damn companies....it would have been so popular...

But I'm serious for the Firefly-type RP...for those of you who've couldn't catch it on TV for the brief time it was there: Firefly(Prequel series to the movie Serenity) is a futuristic, yet western-influenced show about a ragged bunch of space cowboys, bounty hunters really, who travel the galaxies searching for missions(legit and illegal) and money to feed themselves on their little Firefly-class spaceship, Serenity. Their ultimate wish is to be free from everything, floating from planet to planet and enjoying what is left of life. The Alliance, the ultimate yet obviously corrupt government, controls most of the galaxy. The Reavers, who control the outer parts of the galaxy, attack all who come near them, eating and destroying anything human.(Their origin is revealed in the movie, as they are humans gone mad....really mad...). The universe is very Asian influenced(Chinese mostly), everyone speaking english and chinese(mandarin) fluently.
The idea is very wide in the sense that you could play really anyone...and it's not too detailed as to be restricted. I'm up to it, whether making a Crew with others, or being a lone Captain...etc...Alliance officer...even being a Reaver with something of a conscience.... sweatdrop

Bleach, I know rather well. Though it has been a while since I watched any. The odd thing is, the other week a guy was at work wearing two keychain charms from the show (Zangetsu in Shikai, and Ichigo's Hollow Mask) around his neck like a necklace. That lead into a twenty minute conversation about anime and Bleach. Damn, that was fun! mrgreen
Firefly and Serenity just never grabbed my attention- so to be honest they have not been seen by me. Never the less, Oriental culture has always facinated me and I love it so much that a decent RP to come up about it would be VERY welcome. 3nodding
As for a serious problem . . . I just attribute it to a matter of taste. We all have RPs that catch our interest, and while there was a couple in Gaia recently, the people in charge of them just did things that made it hard for me to keep up. Like a two-year jump in the timeline, requireing a story to explain what powers were gained and what happened in that time. Sure I could have made a few paragraphs- but it would not have done the charecter justice.
In turn, I had not the time to sit down and really hammer out a good story. The time jump felt more to me like a restart button than a plot advancement. Since that started, I have quit the Bleach RP guild, and refrained from joining the Naruto Guild as it is run by the same person and also institutes time jumps. Still a member of the Naruto guild, though, because I love the work and story that has been put into it . . . if I quit it, then the storyline is lost to me.
Ranking: A lovely idea. Make it hack-proof, so the elites can be that. Even if it is not put into use through the guilds, anybody can look at your profile and see just how long you have been in a guild or something. It might not be very welcoming to the newbs, but let's face it. They are getting coddled as is. I came in with peasant clothes- and others before me came in with nothing. Now they get a buttload of stuff and gold just for joining! stressed
I hear that ED is becoming the newest subsection of the Chatterbox . . . pity.
*looks over to reece, putting his weapons away* Meh, you have been gone so long that the fight has lost it's flavour. *shrugs*
