Hey... Books are fun.
I got a new camera, and some bedding. Woot. I got Dior perfume as well... That was exciting.

Stephan Colbert's "I am America (and So Can You!)"
Haven't had time to really look at it. I enjoyed Jon Stewart's book, so I imagine I'll like this too.

I quit my job at the clothing store. Thank. ********. God. I can't stand it there anymore. Drives me up a ******** wall. I'm done next Thurs... Which is good because I have a meeting at the cancer foundation I work at on the Fri. Pimp.
Last week... I almost died. Well, that's an over exaggeration, but damn near. I'm deathly allergic to peppers... I don't like them anyway, so I avoid them. I don't like to be one of those pain in the a** customers who make the people at Subway change their gloves, so I never ask, and nothing has ever happened. Well last week, I'm eating, eating, eating, and suddenly my throat starts swelling and I can't swallow. The only logical explanation for this is that, there was some pepper residue or something on the gloves or the knife. Yeah... Scared the crap out of me. And that's all I've got to say for now.

Dude don't die.
@Soleq: I've seen that book a lot. I don't understand the title. Who is Stephen Colbert? That title also doesn't make sense. Dunno. Anyway. First day of college yesterday. Yay me. It's hard work.

The title is a play on how he runs his show on Comedy Central. I think I actually prefer the Colbert Report to the Daily Show, just because of his antics. Sure, the Daily Show actually provides some useful news and opinions, but come on, you gotta love Colbert's sheer love for himself. This was taken from one of my favorite episodes. The original guitar hero, no doubt. So what are you studying in college Ms. Laurel?

My year has been off to a pretty crappy start. Twisted my ankle pretty badly walking to work a few days after New Years. Had to put my cat down a few days ago. The next day the carburetor on my car caught fire. Called the Insurance Company to see if I was covered. I get billed $120 for the tow, and then get told that the Insurance I'd been paying for over the last 2 years never actually existed. Getting my car fixed will cost $600. I'm trying to get them to refund all my money, but no idea what's going to happen. cry

Tirion: I'm sorry your year is off to such a crappy start! But it can only get better!!! Right?
Today was just a really good day. I went shopping and found clothes that fit and look good. Four sizes smaller than I was last year. Had a really good job interview at a marketing firm, with a lady who is actually from the place I spent five years of my life, so we bonded a bit. Had a great night with my youth from the cancer foundation. It's just one of those days where you're in a really good mood, and things just keep going well for you. They're rare, but I love when they happen.

I bought the same book a couple of weeks ago. I haven't really had time to read it either. John Stewart's book was good. I don't know so much about this one though. I read the first 6 pages. We'll see.

So I broke down and bought an iPhone. Lots of great things about it, but I miss my Blackberry somewhat. And I failed to realize that talking using my sound-insulating UE 4vi's makes it seem like I'm talking underwater. Overall though, I'm fairly happy with it, and surprisingly it actually lowers my monthly bill. Hit Me On My iPhone

Immediate_stance Tirion Are there -any- females out there who aren't whores anymore? I'd really like to meet one scream That can be rough, I imagine. I currently can't put my frustration into words. : ) I hate it when men feel all females are whores. Number one, you have not met ever female on planet earth! So, how can you call all of us whores! Why don't you say the ones you meet are whores. You have not met every female in your state, city/town and probably not all in your neighborhood! Maybe the areas you are looking in caters to whores. One other thing I want to say, keep in mind when you refer to females as whores, your mother is female.

That was during a time when I had about 3 girlfriends end up breaking up with me by way of "Hey, I'm doing your friend. Sorry!", So I was a bit bitter. Besides, All generalizations are wrong wink
Finally getting over my flu/sore throat/virus whatever. Still coughing gunk up which is kinda nasty. On the plus side, apparently I won some kind of contest and The Sci-Fi Channel sent me a free copy of the X-Box 360 game "Mass Effect". Great fun, been playing that up when I have free time. Managed to get through it once already. biggrin
