"Talking to barnyard animals?" Terryn didn't quite remember that part of the day, and was a little afraid to find out what exactly she had done. She didn't want to gain a reputation before officially moving in.

Terryn groaned, pulling the covers over her head. "Perfect...I am going to be known as the town drunkard, and it was only the first time I was drunk!"

"It was our wedding night, Terryn," Marcus protested, tugging at the covers. "I assume that everyone will be understanding. Except for those few women..."

"Women? Ugh..." Terryn held fast to the covers, not liking that idea. "Women...they talk too much. I do not understand Greek. They can spout all matter of evil against me and I would be totally unaware."

"Right, evil." Marcus rolled his eyes. "You could always learn Greek, I suppose." He paused. "Now that I think about it, it seems rather necessary."

Terryn grimaced and poked her head out from the sheets. "I suppose I should. I know some Latin, but I never took to learning Greek. There were not many books around in that language when I was growing up. Father did not travel this far east very often."

"Did you usually travel with him?" asked Marcus curiously, looking down at Terryn. It was unheard of. But then again, Terryn was nothing if not an unbelievably unorthodox woman.

"A few times, when I was younger." Terryn didn't remember much of it but there were bits and pieces. "I would go with him to Cornwall or Wales every now and then, mainly because my brothers were always at school and my mother liked having a few days to work on the garden. It was always a surprise when we returned because she would always plant a new shrub or trim the roses a certain way." She smiled, a little wistfully. "Father stopped traveling for the most part after they died though, and I was needed at home so I stopped coming along."

Marcus nodded. "But you'll travel with me, won't you?" he asked hopefully. "I intend to travel quite a bit. And I really think that you would enjoy yourself."

Terryn shook her head, though she couldn't hide a grin. "No, I prefer to stay at home, doing needlework and waiting wistfully by the window for your return."

"Dreams." Terryn answered him plainly, not wanting to really press the subject. Some of them had been very pleasant, but rather unsettling at the same time. She quite wanted to forget them.

Marcus eyed Terryn curiously. "Regarding what?" He slipped his arms around her. "Are you still having...those dreams?" he asked, in a low voice.

Terryn shook her head. "No...no it was nothing like that." She had been having those dreams randomly, but they had become very few and far between. "It is nothing to concern yourself with."
