Daemon walked into the room and immediately dropped his eyes before dropping into a low bow, his forehead touching the ground. "L-logan...I....I owe you an appology....for the way I've been acting...I...I have a reason for being Tempest's slave...I..." Daemon hesitated, not sure if he should tell Logan or not. The pain from his encounter with the wind demon earlier shot up his spine and he jumped slightly, rubbing at his chest. "I want you to know that my allegiance has and always will be to you....you and your children...."

Logan dropped his chin on his hands. "I know that, Daemon. I never for a moment thought you would ever do anything to hurt them, don't worry about that. I'm just not sure this is what you want for yourself, but.. things should be different with Jaryn here. He's not like Tempest." He gazed at the wall. "I have no idea what Jaryn sees in him."
Pontiak stopped a mere foot from walking right into Aden, backing up quickly. "Sorry." He took a closer look, blinking as he switched to elven. "Are you an elf?"

Aden looked at the other and shrugged with a grin, "Well you're only half right."
Aden got to his feet, "Judging by the language you sprecken, you're an elf, right?"

Daemon looked up at him, surprised that he would even suggest that Daemon wanted this. "Logan...I didn't do this for me....I....did it in exchange for the safety of the children..." Another shock of pain ran up his spine, making him gasp and collapse further into his bow. He mewed quietly, his weak heart beginning to race.

Logan frowned. "... Why didn't you come to me and tell me what you planned to do, Daemon? I can't have this over my head, that because of us you're going to choose to be his."
Pontiak nodded. "I was. I don't know what I am anymore." He laughed drily, looking at his hands, feeling that disconnected sensation again. "... I think I might be turning into a wraith even if they say it's only old wives tales." His voice cracked, enging with a slight sob.

Daemon looked up at him with pain-filled eyes. "It isn't because of you, Logan....I would do anything for the children....Pain is nothing." He smiled weakly and then looked down. "I didn't want to ask you because you would say 'no', Logan...Are you angry with me...? I just...I'd rather have to endure pain for others than to see others in pain..." His tail swayed slightly behind him, his ears plastered to his head.

Aden sighed and offered the other his hand, "I'm Aden, I'm actually a half elf... The other half has yet to be determined." Violet eyes glittered brilliantly, "It's not such a bad thing to not know who and what you are."
"Perhaps you're just over analyzing things..." Aden offered.

Logan closed his eyes. "I suppose you had no faith whatsoever that I and Caine could find a way to protect the boys without making deals with the devil. Seems to be the habit now with those I want to build a trusting relationship with. Either way, as I said, things are different now for you, fortunately. Jaryn will protect you, so you lucked out."
The full elf took Aden's hand, his mind somehow connecting the half-elf's hand as real, even though it still tried to distance itself from his own body, the body that was subject to the will of others and not himself. "... It doesn't feel good. It feels like I am dying."

Daemon's eyes widened to significant proportions. "I...I didn't mean it that way!!! I..!!" Daemon was at a loss for words. He bowed over and over again. "Forgive me...!!! I didn't mean it that way!! I meant...I just...I wanted to give my part..!! I wanted to help! I knew you could protect them but it's still good to have extra protection from danger, right!? I...Please forgive me!! I...didn't mean to jeopardize your trust in me..!! Please..." Daemon bent his head, tears painting the floor. "Please...tell me what to do...to regain your trust...I'll do anything...Anything you ask me to..."

Aden smiled in understanding, "How so?"
Then he sat back down in the grass and patted a spot next to him, "Sit down."
Xander was wandering the mansion aimlessly he was going to run out of cigarettes if he keeps smoking like this.
He heard Logan's voice mingling with another boy, a boy named Damion or something...
Normally Xander couldn't careless about whatever they were talking about, but his heart strings were pulled at the mention of Rhodes and Alistaire.
And he stood perfectly still, his cigarette smoke dancing infront of his face.

Logan sighed softly. "Protect yourself as much as you can, Daemon. That's what you can do now. Be good to Jaryn, do what he says, stay close to him, and keep your distance from Tempest. If he tells you to do something, for god's sake, just do it, please." He looked over to Daemon. "Jaryn.. will let you see his nephews. The boys love you, they miss you already, so just stay out of trouble and protect yourself so they can see you as often as possible."
Pontiak sat gracefully, if a little shakily, and pulled his knees to his chest to hug them. "Everything moves so fast. Everything changes. I tried to adapt, to keep up with the changes, but every time I do they change it again."
"And my master took from me the fluid of life, even though we're not bonded. The druids taught us sternly that to spill the fluid of life or share it without a bonding ceremony would make our souls escape and we would become wraiths. My master laughed at it and said it was foolish, but.. I feel as if my hands and my feet are not real anymore, like they're not part of me."

"Y-yes, Logan...I'm sorry...for all I've done...I only wanted to help..." Daemon didn't get up, but merely stayed there on the floor, bowing. He didn't want to get up without permission from his true master. "Is there...anything I can do for you...master?" He spoke quietly.

Aden's eyes flashed dangerously, he obviously wasn't happy with what the elf told him.
Even as a halfling Aden knew about the fluid of life, and the stories that went along with it.
"And who is your master?" Aden's voice sounded serene, but his expression was dangerous.
Xander sighed inwardly and sat down, his back against the wall, and took a long drag of his cigarette.
He was slightly pissed off at himself for caring.
Xander, you're being a pansy.. he said to himself.
The shapeshifter was so close to the door, he didn't make a move to get away.
He couldn't for some odd reason.

"I'm okay, Daemon, don't worry about me." Logan smiled lazily. "Tempest threatens me, but he won't lay a hand on me. He knows how Caine and I feel about each other and he won't risk pissing him off. Honestly, all I could hope for is you make the best of your situation and find some happiness with it."
"He's the doctor. His name is Nathen ((and I forget his last name, but Pontiak wouldn't have)). I think he's my master, I'm not sure anymore. Maybe I serve Mutt now."
((and I hate to drop out like this, but meds are catching up and vision is getting blurry))
