 Antonio approached the witness stand when everything was settled. This was a familiar scenario. It certainly wouldn't be the first time he's been in court with Giovanni, though in those cases he represented the guy and more often than not, kept him off the witness stand because he had a talent for digging himself into a hole due to how easily riled he was, as Sergio just exploited emotion_eyebrow "Your Majesty," he began, though it felt kind of weird to say, "how long have you known the accused?"

 The King gets comfortable in the witness chair, leaning a bit back and taking a drag on his cigar. Looks like Tony is going to question him after all. He thought for sure Tony would just dismiss him and he’s tempted to just plead the 5th Amendment because that’s what this guy always was telling him to do and it’s worked so far. He glances over to “he who shall not be named” and states ‘Ol Gio ‘as known bout dat guy back when he foist sets eyes on Dolce Cosa. Now dat don means dat was reciprecated like cause he ain’t get dat pleasure til way layta. emotion_eyebrow

The first instinct is to have him clarify for the record that Dolce Cosa refers to the Queen of Hearts, but given there is no court reporter, further proof of how utterly fictional this whole thing was rolleyes , it didn't seem to matter. "In the time you have known the accused, did you notice a shift in his behavior? Specifically, have you noticed him behaving in a jealous or envious manner?"If Sergio were an actual lawyer, he knew such a question would be objected to for being leading, but as he glanced over at the defense table, the man seemed more interested in just looking at Giovanni than actually being a lawyer.

Of all the times he wished Giovanni was more reserved in his answers, he chose now to listen without having to be beat over the head with a briefcase first. The ONE TIME he DOESN'T want him to keep his mouth shut stressed Maintaining outward composure, he went ahead on trying to draw more out of him. "Can you clarify for the court exactly what you mean by that?"

He looks at Antonio with the “do you really want me to go there” look. Antonio is the attorney, so if he’s asked it’s probably okay. Ol’ Gio don wants ta be in dis box all damn day. talk2hand Less jus says dis guy gets ‘is undies in a twiss more an more. Gettin heated on account a he’s figgad out Ol’ Gio is spendin more an more time wit da Queen. Gettin in a cheap shot now an again wit Ol’ Gio. But Ol’ Gio undastands dat. Dat guy is gettin wise dat Ol’ Gio be slippin da Queen da “big cannoli” on a regular on ‘is watch. Den Ol’ Gio jus turns up da heat again so da guy stops goin ta woik ta watch Ol’ Gio. But dat ain’t gonna woik see cause dat guy is messin wit Ol’ Gio … Sits up in the witness chair and points to the accused with force staring right at him …… and DON NOBODY MESS WIT WAT IS OL’ GIO’S! Antonio shuddered internally at the euphemisms, but it was bound to come up with the case he was building. It's also fortunate that the film made Giovanni's statement dismissible in an actual court if "he who shall not be named" somehow turned up dead later ninja There was still much more to uncover, but he had a list of other witnesses for that, and given his nature, Giovanni probably wasn't the best witness to use for it, especially given the unclear terminology he's so accustomed to using stare He would constantly have to tell him to repeat himself more clearly if this were a real case, but since it isn't, he could summarize for him. It's unlikely Sergio knows it would be objectionable professionally. He turned to address the court, "So the accused discovered that His Majesty was having an affair with the Queen, whose affection he so greatly desired. It's only natural to feel inadequate upon learning that another man has taken that which you have worked so hard to gain for yourself. Perhaps inadequate enough to overcompensate with a coup d'état?
No further questions, Your Honor."Taking some enjoyment out of breaking rules he normally couldn't break, he couldn't help but smirk a bit as he returned to his seat.

 Stands ******** finally. stare and starts to step out of the witness box post haste when his lovely bride clears her throat ever so "delicately." In mid step, he freezes and looks over to see that look on her face so he sits back down to wait. stressed The Witness is dismissed. The Queen states. He stands once again. And makes his way to his Throne. The Queen of Hearts looks to the Prosecution. The prosecution may call the next witness.

Liada starts nodding off getting bored with how this was proceeding. Toasting gay dancers was amusing for all of 5 seconds but when it got back to setting the nails on Red Knights coffin so to speak the fox dragon was getting bored to the point of falling asleep. Little streams of smoke blow gently through her nostrils as her eyes flutter to stay awake.
Now that's flattering. Hauk thought as he shoots a text to his girlfriend since it didn't look like he was gonna be needed with the direction Antonio was going with his questioning.
Flipping the pages of the script Anira was glad she gave loose instructions about who the witness's were called on other than the dragons and Miro aka Alice. She knew Antonio could run this circus well on his own since he was familiar with the world of Courtroom even if it was a movie version of it. Other than the flash mob things were running along well more or less.

His lawyer apparently is not there to represent him as the Red Knight, but instead seems to think this SHOW is all about "G", a/k/a His Majesty, the King of Hearts. stressed Sighing, he again tries to connect with his lawyer, who's overly focused on the witness, and leans in close towards Sergio.* Yes, I can see that your upset, and I'm sorry they stopped your all-male revue. You did a really good job with it and perhaps you can try it again at a more fitting venue. 3nodding In the meantime, please understand that the courtroom proceedings here today -is- about me. They are trying to make me look guilty of something I had -nothing- to do with. And right now, I need -your- expertise to help prove that I am innocent of these false charges that they have filed against me. neutral *He really wanted to say more, like him having studied certain aspects of the law in order to become an Officer of the Law, for starters. But right now, Sergio is in need of a little ego boosting, and so he left it at that in hopes of more positive actions from his lawyer. The Red Knight sits upright in his chair, with his arms on the table in front of him and hands clasped. He listens and watches as the Prosecution questions the witness on the stand, His Majesty, the King of Hearts. Shakes his head every now and then at what is being said about his "character." * stare

It's a risky move that could be shot down in an instant, but with all formal rules having been thrown out for filming, Antonio figured it would be worth a try anyway. He stood and declared with an air of confidence, "The prosecution calls Her Majesty, The Queen of Hearts to the stand."

 Listens to “G”s testimony studying ALL of his features and mannerisms. emotion_kirakira O-M-G He’s just to die for! So rugged! Such a bad boy! So… eek He stops and gasps, about to fall to the floor when G points at the defense table. He’s pointing right at us!! emotion_jawdrop I…I think I’m going to faint! emotion_bigheart He pours himself a glass of water and drinks about half. Ahhhh…much better. Wouldn’t that have been embarrassing to faint in court. emotion_yatta Sergio hears his client speak to him again and he’s right. Expertise is needed and he will have to keep his wits about him to look for any instance where his expertise is required. Its critical. He tries his best to put “G” out of his mind and FOCUS. Expertise! Got it! emotion_awesome Next thing you know, the Prosecution calls the Queen of Hearts to the stand and Sergio panics. Oh my. eek The Queen of Hearts looks at her brother like he’s lost his damn mind and the King smirks gesturing to the witness box. Get on in da box dere, Toots. cool Ol’ Gio had ta do it and now yous gets ta be in da hot seat. She takes her gavel with her and as she walks by the King he smacks her on the a**. She quickly shoots him a look and he leans back in his Throne, plunks his cigar in his mouth and winks at her. wink emotion_dealwithit A Minotaur assists her Royal Majesty into the “hot box” and stands very near in case she should want for anything. Another walks over with the swearing in scroll, opens it and starts to read: twisted Do you swear by the All Mighty Deities of Wonder, to speak the truth and only the truth to Their Majesties and citizens of the Red Dominion that stand before you or be struck down by the Righteous Hand of ………of………of…… confused ……yourself? Oh for Christ sakes get on with it. stare The Queen says.

It worked! He didn't think it would, but no one voiced an objection. For a moment, he wondered just how far he could push it. What if he called himself to the stand? How ridiculous would -that- be? rofl There would be no reason for it, though. Otherwise, he would be seriously tempted to try. But since his part in this movie was minimal, there would be very little he'd be able to testify with. "Your Majesty," Antonio began as he approached. It oddly didn't feel as weird to say to his sister. It wouldn't surprise him in the least if he were to be reminded of a time in which she made everyone call her that before. "Can you explain, for the benefit of the court, both your current and prior relationship with the accused?"
