IF it didn't seem like such a ironic thing coming from a bug he would have been shouting at the top of his lungs to kill it.
Quite literally.
Then again, considering his words would have been more stutters than anything else, he couldn't help his fear at the entire way that would have gone over. He could only hope that he could make this creature faint quickly. With tentacles like that, he knew it had to be able to use Constrict, and he didn't want that creature to touch him.
And if he got him in his grip.
The bug would shiver and it wasn't completely from the cold.

Once the filthy cloud cleared, Alexander almost immediately regretted his patience. It was no surprise that the little pokemon had been killed, but the fact that the attack had torn its head off... The boy swallowed painfully in an attempt to keep down the bile that wanted to build up."Good... Good job..."he said uneasily as he quickly recalled Tsuna to his ball before the barboach could be cooked alive by the atmosphere. After a brief inner debate, the boy decided to leave the corpse where it was instead of punting it into the nearest lava pit and continued down the path now that the living roadblock was removed.
Poppy isn't the laughing type, Shinx knows this. She just isn't the humor-loving type in general. So that's why he has to laugh enough for the both of them when the Farfetch'd appears and starts with his shtick, dropping to his front paws and howling in mirth. This guy. This guy! A real hoot, or maybe a quack, with his posing with a vegetable like it was cool and his accent. It was great, he liked this bird. Whether the guardian took offense to his laughter or not, Shinx had to take a few moments to gather himself together enough to speak. >W-What? Pffthehe.. What Lambo, what Unseelie? What even are you, hahaha, talking about? We just got to this area, we're just a couple'a tourists trying to find a rock to take a picture of for a school project or whatever!< Sure, he was stretching the truth out to suit him, but it wasn't too much of a lie. It probably wouldn't even matter, the bird seems pretty set on his challenge, but there was no reason Shinx couldn't play around a little, first. >I mean, look at my human. Still just a little brat, way out of her element and taking care of an egg! Do you think someone like that would purposely cause trouble for such fine island folk?<
The appearance of the Farfetch'd draws Poppy's eyes over from her searching for an evolution stone, and she's quiet when the Pokemon seems to go off about something. Shinx finds it amusing apparently, so she keeps her silent observation and lets things play out for the moment. Shinx doesn't turn aggressive even with the pointed leek, so she watches for the reaction of the other Pokemon, unable to help shivering from both the chill of the rain and the startling flash of lightning nearby. If it comes to a fight, she is certain that Shinx is faster and it will be alright, but if he's trying something different then she'll allow him the chance to try it. The less battles they're in for now, the sooner they can be off the island and she can finally use her tub, which she'll need to keep from getting sick from this rain.

Despite the Scyther's fears however, his foe would draw no closer. Instead his foe would cast the insect a sly wink before promptly collapsing...though his tentacles never ceased their wiggling. Even unconscious, the Pokemon truly never stopped did he?
As it would happen, for Alexander one good road block deserved another. Beneath the boy's very feet the world would rumble, the baked earth groaning as it began to split just ahead of him as it had before. Magma burbled to the surface, slowly spreading and softening the ground....making it all the easier for another hand to break free. Like it had before a figure would rise from the magma, keeping it in it's molten state. The boy was faced with another Magby, and like the first...this one lacked a drop of kindness. A glint in it's red eyes, the Magby would actually snicker at the child ">Your world ends here buddy boy~"
When it collapsed they both would sigh in relief, and when it tentacles started to move again, the pokemon came inches from being smashed into the ground as the boy would pick up a rock.
Though the fact that it was still unconscious would be enough to save it as he drops the rock onto the ground and the Scyther would inch closer to him.
"Yea, I think this is enough, let's go."
He would recall Ricasso and then step forward into the forest. The warmth of the sun would help, even though it was dimmer, the cold would start to recede the further he walked into the place.
It was time to take on a new area as he would think to call out Phoenix. The young pokemon need as much experience as possible, especially since she seemed to be the bashful sort.
In a flash of red she would appear, as Shiloh would pick her up and cradle her in his arms.
"The world isn't so scary, there is a lot out here, and I am going to teach you about it all. Just stick with me, kid, you are going to go far."
He tell her as she looks around from the safety of his arms.

The Farfetch'd would shake his head at the Shinx, placing his swings like hands on his hips ">N' that thar's a load a Tauros dung, n' ya knows it<" Once he was done shaking his head and ruffling his feather's, the Pokemon would direct his leek at Poppy ">Kids 'r all alike ya here? Mrr dangerous than a bag full'a Beedrill.<" That seemed to settle it. The girl and her Shinx had chosen the hard way out of this, and that was when the Fafetch'd would speed forward, and his opponent would notice all too late the state of their surroundings as they sank into the mud...
[AREA EFFECT - Muddy Terrain: -5 To SPD stat due to swampy conditions. Does not effect Ground, Water, or Flying-type Pokemon!]
While the Shinx began to sink into the ground, the Farfetch'd darted across as if the mud wasn't even there. Things were't always as they seemed, and making assumptions had a tendency to bite one in the behind. The unnamed Shinx would learn this was never more true than now, as the warrior bird, and Guardian of this area, swept his leek back as it began to glow bright green. He waved it around like a weapon because it was one, and the Shinx was about to get a mouth full of Leaf Blade!

A solid hit! The Ledyba giggled, flying backwards and doing a flip mid-air. A weak hit, but still a hit! She wasn't one to look a gift Ponyta in the mouth... besides, this was a fun fight so far! Her wings vibrated enthusiastically and she stared own at him. >C'mon, try again!< She clapped her hands together, floating higher and higher. She was hoping to stay just out of reach.

Alice stopped mid-step, noticing the odd dance occurring in front of her. Admittedly, all the Flabebe she'd run into had caused her tons of problems, but that didn't mean these were bad! They were just having fun... so what was there harm watching? The action went against her better judgement-- in this case, her "better judgement" was a very concerned Honedge wiggling in her arms. But she just hugged him hard and watched curiously...
As Alex progressed deeper and deeper into the crater, eyes would be set upon him. Humans rarely traveled this far into the crater; they risked running into stronger Pokemon, or something far worse.
>Upupupu~< Fortunately, this wasn't quite "worse". A small orange ghost materialized into existence, hovering upside-down in front of Alex. She stuck her tongue out at the trainer before spinning happily away. The Pumpkaboo hovered there, chuckling in mid-air. >Time for a treat, hmm? The Trickmaster says so~< Seems he'd caught something's eye.

They knew the area was bad, but they hadn't realized it was this bad. Surprised when he suddenly starts to sink into the mud, Shinx tries to pull himself free one paw at the time, very aware of the unhindered Farfetch'd. He struggled to get out of the way, scrambling desperately to free himself. Hopefully he'd be able to make it out of the way in time, but if not then it'd be a real laugh in his face to get wacked by a leek. >It's not a lie, really! She's a student and her assignment was to add a Pokemon to her team and take a picture of an evolution stone! She even gave a dull Lotad MY cookie in order to get it to join us, and it did!< The other two weren't caught by their choice, but he didn't have to mention them.
The change in the climate and the area was something new for the hatchling. She hadn't seen much, but Phoenix had seen snow ...and now she was seeing grass and trees for the first time. Though she was afraid to touch it, at first, as Shiloh would have to sit and work with her for at least 15 minutes before she would allow him to place her down in the stuff.
It tickled a bit, and it tasted and smell different than what she had seen before as she would eventually roll in it. Then her curiosity would eventually turn towards tasting as she would take a bit of grass in her mouth and finding it delicious would proceed to fill up her belly.
It was rather amusing as she almost curled up and went to sleep in the grass as Shiloh would pick her up and continue on his way after that sight distraction. he hadn't forgotten how the mist would crawl and roll over this area, and soon that weak sun light would disappear into the darkness.

In the Garden of Monsters
The dance was beautiful, radiant even as moisture slid of the Flabebe's bodies. So entrance was Alice that she wouldn't even notice when one of the Fairy-types disappeared, leaving the other dancing with it's own flower. She'd even miss the rustling in her bag and jingle of coins. When the dance stopped, Alice would find herself faced with not one or two Flabebe, but three; two of which were holding items that did not belong to them. One held Alice's Big Root, and the other 100 of her coins. Waving cheerfully, the three would then split up into the grass. She'd just been robbed. If she wanted any hope of getting any of her items back, she'd have to chase after one of the fairies, but she could only chase one. Which way would she chose? Right, Left, or Straight Ahead?
With a startled squawk the Farfetch'd would swing short of the Shinx, his feathers thoroughly ruffled in that moment. ">Ya'll 'r briding and kidnappin' folks? Arceus's ears, ya'll 'r worse than ah thought!<" The disgust was clear in the Pokemon's eyes and voice. Seemed the Electric-type had actually dug them deeper into a hole then he'd sunk into the mud. Flapping back with a few short sweep of his wings, the Farfetch'd would raise his leek like a sword in defense. He'd really need to get rid of these no good rustlers now!
