selena awoke this moring with a head ack and got up and go tdress and went down stairs to the kitchen to get some blood to drink when she got down staris selena saw shadow standing there " oh good moring "

"She says here that I had a suitor. Apparently he came by quiet often to say hello, but I was never around." Isabella said, looking up at him. "When she was screaming at me she had mentioned that he was mine and I wasn't there. At least that makes a little more sense now."

Shadow nodded to Isabella. It all did sem to make a little more sense but there wa sprobably more to it than this. "I'm going to take a little wlak... I have a feelign that Selena has woken up. I'll be back in a second if she is awake." he said before standing and leaving the dinning room in search of Selena. He foudn her as she was wlaking down the stairs. "Good morning Selena. Did you sleep well?" Shadow asked with a smile. He was glad that his senses were not failing him yet, being able to sense her pressance from the dinning room was fortunate, he usualy relied on scent over eveything else. "Well, you look as if you need fed. Come, to the dinning room and I'll ahev the servants bring you something." he said as he turned and headed back to his chair. "Sorry about that Isabella. Anything else intresting in there?"

"I found out she was rather attracted to our nearest neighbor's son. But most of this is strange. Half sentences that have nothing to do with the rest of the text, or words in the middle of a sentence that make no sense. It's like two different people wrote it and it doesn't seem to follow any order." Isabella said, tossing the book on the table. "This is pointless."

Shadow shrugged slightly, "Have you though about connecting the miss mached half sentences and random words together? It could be a form of free hand that she used to stop people who read it from knowing everything but that would be a guess. I am probably wrong though, I am just used to looking at things like that... I have my mother to thank for that one." he said as he took his drink ocne more and drank.

"I could try, but Victoria never really thought that way." Isabella said, taking her untouched drink. "I could see her leaving things out though...writing part of a sentence and making you guess the rest of it. She was never one to add anything."

"Well, you know your sister better than I do. I have just spent far to many years reading cryptic tomes. I'm sorry that I cannot be of much help to you at this time." Shadow said with a slight sigh. There was little he coudl do now besides send out scouts to search for Victoria but with the head start they have had it would be almost pointless. Not even an expert tracker could trace her now.

Isabella looked back up to him, confusion clouding her face. "You're not serious, are you? I can't think of a single person who could help me more." Of all the vampires, or mortals even, that Isabella had met in her many years, Shadow was by far the most intelligent, and definitely the one she wanted helping her.

Shadow finshed his drink before responding, "I thank you for your kind words Isabella but I cannot see what I can do here. I can call in favours, send out armies of ethereal beings but that is about it. If I knew your sister better then I might have been some more assistance but..." Shadow paused for a moment as he thought but it ended up beign nothing but far fetched thoughts that would amount to nothing, "But I do not know your sister. If you how ever come up with something then I can assist you to my full ability." he said. he was just beign honest now, he could see no real way of assisting Isabella right now. "I really do not know how I can help. I mean, unless your sister ran off with the neighbors son then I have no idea." he added.

Isabella half smiled. "That would make the puzzle much easier, but I don't recall him being anything but ordinary." She thought about it for just a moment. "Although...we never once saw his father other than when the town celebrated something at night. Would it be possible that he's the cause of this?"

Shadow shook his head, "No... it can't be that simple... yes it could be that simple." Shadow said to himself as he thought it all over. "It would be very possible that he is the cause of it all. If he is an immortal then he could have been wandering aorund here for as long as it takes to get what he wants the way he wants. The younger generation, your strain can be truely crule, manipulative and deceitful. This could all very well be his doing. Why else would victoria leave anyway?" Sahdow said.

"If she's angry, she would want revenge. I don't believe she could pull it off on her own though. She's not that put together. Even when we were children she was forever forgetting what she was in the middle of doing. She would have to have help." Isabella said. The thought of her sister working with someone to get her revenge on Isabella was not a happy thought. How could Isabella fight her own sister?

Shadow did not lie where this was going. Talk of revenge only stirred up memories in Shadow's mind, memories fo the war that reduced his once mighty clan to nothing due to his action. "If she is working with someone to get revenge on you then things are truely bad. It pains me to see family fighting in such a way, especialy sicne I lived threw such a thing... it is not easy to fight against ones brother or sister but you have my support if you need it." He said as he leaned into the back of his chair. It was a grim night and they had no idea what this could do. "I hope for the best here Isabella, I hopeit dose not come down to an open fight with your sister and this other." he said.

"You will not have to die again and you deffinatly will not have to fight your sister. If it comes down to fighting then I will deal with your sister and this other, not as the security of this manor but as friend." Shadow said. He was more than willing to defend Isabella in this time knowing that she would not be able to fight her sister. It was his duty to protect those in the manor but this one was idfferent. Protecting a friend was something that always took presidance over all else to Shadow. "I will fight this battle for you if you cannot. I would not wish you to feel as I do after commiting such an act as fighting with family." he added.
