Ah, Lucifer Morningstar. No doubt you remember the Emerald Empress, Scourge of the Galaxy, enemy to the Legion of Superheroes, leader of the Fatal Five, Conqueror of Venegar and wielder of the Emerald Eye of Ekron.

I am thinking that this place is in dire need of some decor updates. I am thinking something along the lines of draping black and green velvet. And a throne. Perhaps two? Would you like a throne as well?

Green isn't particularly prevalent in my color schemes. Neither are thrones. The most you'll get is a chair with your name on it. Possibly with all your credentials if it has a high enough back.

It is not in my plans to cross those Greater than Gods in my schemes to enslave the denizens of the Nexus....which I certainly hope you have no issue with. It seems to me that there has been a disappointing amount of villainous activity coming from actually villains these days.

I have no qualms with those who don't go arbitrarily altering my decor. It's one thing to add a drink to the menu, I don't take kindly to large quantities of velvet.
The last thing I need is for this to be mistaken for a goth club again. You wouldn't believe the sort that attracts.
So long as you do not destroy my establishment, and keep the blood off the piano, you may do what you like. Involve the martinis if you wish, they've been bored as of late.

Oh, and keep your hands off my boy. It's hard enough re-establishing some sort of father/son relationship without you doing....whatever thing it is you're planning on doing. No draping him in green velvet.

Yes, I have decided to ditch the mind control this time around. It's so unpredictable, what people will do when you turn off their morals. The Eye and I are still considering what the best way to reduce the heroes here to whimpering slave-like masses would be.
Not that they aren't doing a fine enough job on their own, of course...

You'll find their own internal struggles are quite enough to leave them gasping for every whimpered breath, sometimes with endless monologues about their petty torments. Shakespeare couldn't write some of these scripts.

I, furred one Hank McCoy, am the Emperald Empress, Conqueror of Venegar, Scourge of the Galaxy, leader of the Fatal Five, enemy to the Legion of Superheroes and Weilder of the Emerald Eye of Ekron. I am not new here, but have been, for the last few cycles, been biding my time and preparing for the time when I would arise again as the leader of this place, this Nexus.
But not quite yet. No, there are still preparations to be made. And so I will retire for the evening...but I can guarantee that we will meet again. Soon. And often. And without warning.
