I got tomorrow and the next day off so I'll be hibernating for a while then.
The more stressful part of last night was that crossmatch. The person has a known antibody so I was going the whole nine yards making sure the blood I crossed was compatible. She seems to be going downhill steadily and I'm frightened to death that I screwed it up somewhere... She had anti-D so I gave her D negative blood but who knew, maybe she had another antibody not discovered yet...?

So I'm getting out of work last night when I see this big toad sitting at the edge of the garden by our entrance. So I just sort of sit down next to it and watch it for the next 20 minutes or so as it ate junebugs off the sidewalk. I just sat and watched a toad. After that I just got up and left. Satisfying evening.
