Blastoise is my only option, charmander always died the first battle, and Bulbasaur always died to a freaking pidgy swarm. 9 literaly, I'd take five steps and an unescapable pidgy storm would attack me, so after about twenty pidgys, my bulbasaur would die.

I know I'm really late to the conversation, but am I the only person who took the time to train(no rare candies) a team of six Magikarp to level 100 and then pump them up with as many of the stat boost items as possible then beat the elite four with them? Magikarp will always be my favorite pokemon, even if I think Cyndaquil was the cutest.

I'm proud to admit that Ash lost all respect as a trainer when pikachu was forced into a draw by a Magikarp in an episode of Pokemon. The Trainer that trained it, and the Magikarp itself, Have my undying respect. Heck, I don't respect my boss in the least, and a fictional character and a fictional creature that is considered the weakest of them all, has earned more respect from me in 30 minutes than he ever will. Episode 487th of pokemon and the 21st in the diamond & pearl series, Ya See We Want An Evolution, proved that Magikarp was one of the most powerful Pokemon to exist if trained properly, bringing a fight with Ash's Pikachu to a draw. I submit that no matter what people argue, My view on Magikarp cannot, nor will it ever, Change.

I've only ever gotten one of each available pokemon to level one hundred in my silver version. Not all that hard, just spam battle some of the stronger trainers. Love that call maker thing. Let's you call certain people and get a rematch!
Magikarp is ok, but Typhlosion might be able to kill your entire team. I don't know, I've never fought level one hundreds.

Lol I'ma crack the same joke a few of my friends did in school, don't be offended Kay. Funny how the black guys ( My self included ) bought pokemon white and all the white guys bought pokemon black XD When you say you beat pokemon, do you mean the leage? Cause I beat the game in three days, or do you mean the ENTIRE game. Did you find the 6 sages? Catch all the legendaries? Get EVERYONE of your pokemon to LV 100 waaay too time consuming? Did you catch EVERY pokemon IMPOSSIBLE!? No? Then get to work son! I just beat the leauge with a simipour, simisear, zweilous, Serperiour, reuniculous, and throh. THOSE are the names of the 5th gen? Geez, pokemon has died. This is why Gold/Silver were the last good pokemon games. I HIGHLY agree but they look awesomecoolsweet. And yeah, level 60 typhlosion OHKO'd every pokemon it fought in crystal. And Emerald is indeeed the best.

Is it bad that outta the... what? 5,000 different pokemon they got, my dream team is half 1st Gen, half ... whatever gen Emerald is? Arcanine, Alakazam, Flygon, Salamance, Aggron, and Blaziken. Arcanine will always in my heart be my favorite, no matter what new gen comes out. Wolfy will ALWAYS be my go to guy to rip some stupid mouse's face off and turn it into a barbecue. Oh! And if a Weedle that only knows String and a Magikarp that only knows splash, and the two are fighting... not in the water, who wins? I mean, the Magikarp is... well... magic, so no chance of suffication outside the water, but... still... ANOTHER NOTE! This is why I love Aiki!
