And more awkward silence from him at her little statement as he got himself up and slipped his arm back into it's simple sling so it didn't have to carry its weight and he didn't try to use it. These girls were nuts...one moment they're screaming and mad at him and the next they's saying they'd sleep with him. "Uh...well...did you need anything from here while you're here? Are you staying here or going back?" Technically, she was an adult and could choose such things anyway. He was just trying to alleviate awkward.
Whoa, direct moment. She had her moments indeed and it was nice to see that she did have them. Meant she wasn't all beat down and what not all together from her parents. "If you insist. No way am I arguing with that directness." Giving her a grin to let her know it was a good thing and letting her play nurse as she wanted. Which of course the whole thing came with sociel inept awkwardness, just like good old time. Stressing the old rather than the good part. Rather than hand the cloth back, he finished up for her and took a moment to change his sheets which yes he had gotten tournament grime on. Setting the cloth aside he plopped between clean sheets and attempted to find a comfortable position. Between his side and his back, it was hard.
He just blinked at the name that was unfamiliar to him but figured that whatever it was that it was alright since his mother seemed none too worried and he recalled her mentioning other kids here as well. But a tug at his mother. "Hungry."
"Just so you know, he does enjoy poking and exploring so expect to find him anywhere touching anything." Really really needed to set that self referral set of pronouns and such down. "Yes dear, we can get you something to eat."
"No, there is need for me to be worried. Did you neglect to forget that if I even smell something that doesn't agree with me right now that I spend all day puking? Or that if there's the right amount of shift in the air be it magics or such that I have a fun day in bed half passed out? Oh and I shouldn't worry even though such things may or will be happening just downstairs where there is a chance such things can indeed be felt outside of it. Did you really really neglect to remember these thing, oh dear husband of mine?" Crossing her arms and more or less glaring at him.
"Wow...now that's kind of scary. I never thought she could be scary like that. Do it again."

She tilted her head at him and then stood up slowly, cupping his cheek in her hand. "Mykorian...did you think I wanted to sleep with you...now?" Because he seemed a little uncertain and it was always good to get to the bottom of such things. But he was asking questions and expecting answers. "Oh, I was planning on going back. I mean...unless you want to stay here? You can't very well do it alone and my father would have a fit if you made a mess."
There were some things that she didn't compromise on even when it was her parents she was caring for. Hygiene was just one of those things. Therefore Malikhai was scrubbed down, his sheets changed, and she made sure the unsalvageable was going to be permanently disposed of. Zahara had already set the healers to work on making him a poultice jacket and it was finished shortly after his bath and brought up to her. "Here, Khai. This will keep your back from burning if you happen to lay on it." Settling it around his shoulders, she tucked him back into bed and curled up against him, keeping herself there as a barrier for his back. His scent enveloped her and she pressed a kiss to his ear. "I'm still sorry you have to go through all this. Even if it was worth it."

"No, I didn't forget, 'Chev. which is why I also made sure while we were at Tournament that the arena and the necromantic work area were put under strong enchanmental barriers so that the energies being used would not leak out while your out of sorts."
A slight grin at Isle.
"This is nothing. you should see her when she's in a really bad mood."

"Um...no?" That was a loaded question and he could only hope that he had picked the less offensive answer. Why did women have to ask questions like that? Made things difficult or awkward. Shaking his head however to her own questions, "No, I wasn't planning on staying here. Your father doesn't like 'strangers' around in his house. Besides I may be half out the game but I can still do some work that doesn't involve heavy lifting. You know how Malik is about slacking."
His brain shut down for a moment from the touching to his ear. That was a new feeling for sure...instant brain failure was not something that happened to him regularly, he knew that much. "You don't have to be sorry about it. It's what tournament is all about. Pushing yourself as hard as you can go even if it leaves you a mess in the end. Wounds can be healed and such after all."
"Out of sorts." So that was how he was going to label this all. Out of sorts. She was more than out of sorts. She hardly felt like herself these days...but kept those worries to herself as it was easier to not deal with them no matter how much they may make her doubt things. "I think I need some air." Thusly heading outside for her.
"Does that involve her throwing sharp things? Because I would love to see that." Watching though as Piper apparently wasn't going to share in the fun. "Someone is upset." Shaking her head and petting at a tugging Nillrik. "Yes I know you're hungry." Side glancing Malik. "How about you break out your overly lavish food and let her cool down for a few moments?"

"No it doesn't involve throwing sharp things. it's worse then that."
watching his wife go outside with a frown, she was upset and he'd make it up to her. ofcourse he'd say 'out of sorts' in front of isle, did not want the closest thing to a sister worrying anymore then she had to be.
"Usually if she gets really mad, she waits until I'm in my study and tells Serino to mess with the air and temperatures....she has shot her bow at me a few times."
but of course, leading them to the dining room and getting the usual lavish expanse of foods set out.

"Nice tactic. Subtle yet highly annoying." Giggling at that before ushering Nillrik into the dining room and sitting him down in a seat, filling a plate for him and letting him dig in. The boy happened to have a very healthy appetiate. "But she is doing okay right? Everyone is worried about her back home."
He was strolling himself downstairs at the moment...after all, runes told him a lot and well, the boy was being a flare of magic mishap. "You don't even have to tell me. Go see Galesen. Troublesome elf." Announcing for Malik to hear before heading downstairs and not getting too close. "Do you ever not cause trouble?"

Galesen had moved himself into a better position so he could use the methods that were taught to him to try and even regulate the magic that was flowing through him. Though with a shift in the cold air and the sounds of the feet pressing on the ice, Galesen instantly knew who was in the arena with him. "Great to see you too Sevilin." Since he knew that trying to control the magic inside him was going no where Galesen opened his eyes to stare at the drow who was standing a few yards away from him. "Trouble comes looking for me half the time, the other half usually is done by me, though most of the time I don't cause it on purpose." He paused for a moment as he allowed some energy release from himself. "Anyway, this, all of this, is something that I never wanted to happen. Though I do need your help Sevilin, I don't want to be stuck like this for the rest of my long life." A small nervous chuckle to the end of that before he stood up and kicked some of the ice that was around him.

a light frown.
"I'm not really sure. right now Zahara is having me siphon energy to get on a daily basis, she has to be closely monitored for any and all changes. and Zahara has her on strict orders not to do virtually anything other then bedrest and a little exercise."
picking at a bit of food.
"She gets sick easily. she wasn't kidding earlier. a slight sniff of something that disagrees with her and she's puking most of the day, keeping her well and able is becoming a full time job in itself. Zahara has mentioned...not letting her have the baby. we've agreed only as an absolute last resort."

"Sounds like no fun at all, no wonder she's a tad depressed." Those two may be married and what not, but they all knew Piper could still hide things from Malik if she wanted to. Not so quickly with Isle who was a sudden pop up in the place. Piper never liked being chained down in any manner and that was what was happening, clearly. Malik wasn't taking it well either...in all the years that she had known him, he never picked at his food.
"Maybe you should have her just reverie through the whole thing. It is possible. A rune thing." Watching him for a long moment before speaking once more. "Her last resort or yours and Zahara's last resort?" Not asking in an accusing manner, just asking to be more informed. After all she felt she had the right to know.
"Then you could be more direct and just spit it out already. Granted that I already know anyway." Whistling to call his horse and grabbing the gauntlets out of them. It was a more complicated set of build runes, energy supression and redirection ones to help keep all his magic in a constant flow like a river inside of him so it was constantly occupied and contained. That done, he tossed them to the othe elf. "Try that. If you explode...well you explode."

"That's why I didn't get to the point, I knew your runes were telling you all anyway." After living in the fortress for awhile Galesen knew the inner workings of the runes and such. So quietly he watched as Sevilin called Barhnel and grabbed the gauntlets that were in the bag Galesen brought along. When Sevilin was done Galesen grabbed the gauntlets that were tossed to him, though when he said things may go explode Galesen had second thoughts about it all. "Well, that's good to know. Thanks Sevilin." So Galesen put the gauntlets on one at a time and waited quietly for the effects to take place. After a moment of waiting he noticed that he had no magic outbursts. "Well, thanks Sevilin, no exploding so that's good." He flexed his fingers in the gauntlets and sighed inwardly, he would have to get use to wearing the bloody things. A look to the drow and he gave a nod. "At least now I don't need to worry so much, just need to start using the exercises." Which he was going to be doing for most of the time he was down here, but he had to get things under control.

"Zahara was wanting to...end things early. myself and piper wanted to see if she could get this child to term, it's her first little girl. So the rules are she does everything Zahara asks, no questions. if we find things going very poorly, or there's a choice to be made...my wife comes first."
Sighing lightly.
"This wasn't what was supposed to happen. there weren't supposed to be anymore pregnancies, and now she has her third and it's the girl she always wanted. how can I tell her no to that. So we'll do what we can, and make sure everything can go as smooth as we can make it."

"Your body temperature may be lower than you're used to since we're dealing with elemental based magic here, but you'll just have to live with that. If you feel yourself warming up then it's probably a bad things and means that those runes aren't holding. We'll see how it goes."
"Nature has a very keen sense of humor. If you and Piper had never done anything earlier to have your boys, this would be her first child as nature determined. Now usually it's smart enough to stop when it needs to, but sometimes that just doesn't happen. I could even say that being around Zahara is enough female influence to trick her body into thinking differently on such things."
Trying to give him some sort of piece of mind. "You know the rest of us will help however we can as well. It's not unknown in Andal for these things to happen after all." Making sure Nillrik was still eating before turning her attention back to Malik. "If you want my opinion...let Zahara and others take care of the pregnancy issue. You focus on her and your boys. If she can't go anywhere or do anything, then her mind at least needs an escape. You all can at least provide her with that."

Galesen had begun walking when Sevilin spoke, so he stopped and noticed the complete difference Sevilin was talking about, but he gave a small shrug as another puff of white air appeared from his mouth. "It's no big deal really, I haven't felt this cold in awhile but I'll be able to hold on with no problems." Though he gave a small nod to Sevilin at the warning of him warming up. "I'll make sure to find you right away if anything feels different, but for now this is for the best, thanks again." Another kick to a chunk of ice which sent it flying a little ways from the both of them then he began to walk. "If I remember correctly that you guys had your tournament, how did it go?" The arena was left behind as Galesen began to make his way upstairs, he wanted to get settled in before having to move onto other things.

He wasn't sure of anything at all, was he? She studied him for a long moment and then gave a short, jerky nod. "Very well. And you won't be out of the game for very long. Tomorrow you shouldn't have anymore problems at all with it." Looping a bag over her shoulder, she walked out into the main hall of the house. "I do have some things to get here. You're welcome to come up to the room if you want."
She noticed it took him a little bit to reply but decided he was trying to think of the nicest way to stop being so silly. He did that a lot. "Yes, all of that is very true. But I would also take your pain if I possibly could." Her nose naturally found it's way into his neck and she inhaled, taking his scent to the depths of her soul. "I think you should reverie, Khai. You've had a really long day."

A snap of his fingers sent ice melting behind them as they were leaving. "Fair enough as always. Faate won her category, the D'vinn boys won theirs. There were some interesting things there as well. Seemed like Malik knew them but you know. I had my hands full with children. Which is also a reason I'm not playing around with you on this. My youngest is quite inquisitive."
"Right." Following her up to her room, just in case she needed his help. After all he still had one good arm and avoiding her for any reason would only make things more awkward. "And if my shoulder isn't better?"
"Now now, I wouldn't wish this pain on you at all. It's mine to bear and I should bear it proudly for my victory." Giving a light laugh with a snicker to it as she cuddled into him. "Reverie sounds fantastic. But only if you're not going to sit up and worry about me."
