Umi laid her head on Greed's chest, and drifted off to sleep herself. She could hear the voice again, quiet, small. The voice of her child. Who...am I?..." You're my child," she told it. " And you are growing inside of me. I will keep you safe. Never fear."

Greed smiled in his sleep, as he laid next to Umi. For a second, he believed he faintly heard the small voice. Greed muttered in his sleep. "Boreas...."

Umi could feel Greed's presence with her. She stood there quietly, waist-deep in the water, listening for the voice again.
She felt something brush her leg. Looking down, she saw a smooth, long shape slip through the water around her legs. She stood still, waiting.
A small head popped out of the water beside her. It belonged to a baby Leviathan. It looked at her with grey eyes.
Who...am I?... it asked in a small, wispering voice.
Umi knelt down, and gently picked the little leviathan out of the water. She held it close to her.
"You are my child...and I am your mother..." she said, kissing it's nose.
Mo...ther...?
