Kilik watched her do this, then walked with her out of the Gym. It was nice to finally be back with her. The time he had spent away from her was quite painful. And since she was back to her normal self, he didn't have anything to worry about. "So, Nina..." he bit his lower lip and gave her hand a light squeeze, "You and I should travel together sometime. Not...right now, but soon!" He looked over at her and gulped. I can't find the right thing to say!

Nina smiled a little bit. "I'd like that," she said. "However, I think that I'm going to be travelling to Johto and staying there for a bit. I'd like to see if I could catch a couple Pokemon and I'd like to battle at the Gyms over in that region... I'd love to become Johto's Champion; it's been something that I've wanted for quite a long time.
She smiled again, while she and Kilik walked near the Pokemon Center.

Kilik looked over at her and blinked. "Oh. Become the champion of your own region, huh?" he slipped his free hand into his pocket and looked upwards, "I wanted to do that in Hoenn..." he hung his head slightly, still smiling. "I know that Mike can do it though. Trying for his badge against Flannery, I think." He placed a finger to his chin in thought.
"Everyone's further along in getting the eight badges of a specific region. I would challenge for all eight of Kanto's but.." he looked at her, "Giovanni is a Gym Leader. And I don't have anywhere near the skill required to beat him."

"Natu!" Little Guy called out. Ky, excited to hear that Little Guy found something, ran over in the direction his call came from. Ky spotted him in the grass, jumping back and forth, taunting a Weedle as it ate some leaves. The Weedle eventually got annoyed with the tiny bird, stopping to get into a battle stance, the sharp barb on its head aiming at Little Guy. Seeing the Weedle's actions, Ky got ready. "Little Guy! Peck attack now!" Ky ordered.
Little Guy sprang forward to land its beak on the side of the Weedle, trying to avoid the poisonous needle on his forehead. The Weedle though, having been prepared, parried the attack and sent his own Poison Sting strike into Natu's side. It punctured, but Natu quickly smacked the Weedle aside with its wing before it could inject its venom. The two Pokemon landed on opposite sides from where they were before, both panting and awaiting each other's next move. 'That Weedle is quick,' Ky thought. 'I need to hit him fast and hard.'

The name implies some sort of hammering/smashing attack from a crab, and I always pictured it as the Pokemon brings down their mighty claw and slams it into the opponent. I know it's a Water-type move and Vaporeon would be immune to it in the game, but some of those odd technicalities just aren't plausible in this RP.
And yes, Onix takes 4x damage from Water/Grass-type moves, and 2x damage from Ground-type moves. Keep in mind that these numbers increase to 6x and 3x respectively when STAB is applied (which means that if Onix takes a critical hit from a Water-type move, the damage dealt is actually 12x).))
Bagon, seemingly clear-headed at the moment, swung her claw around sharply for a stinging Cut attack, causing Venomoth to cry out before it fell to the ground, unable to continue battling. Jaeshan felt a sense of pride at the progress the young dragon had been making since her birth, and he kept in mind the words 'Diana' had said to him at breakfast. Someday she'll make a strong Salamence. Even though he didn't really know what a Salamence was, he knew it must be something pretty grand. Bagon, having seen her victory, started hopping up and down excitedly, and clapping her little hands together. Lisa gave a sort of sigh, and recalled her Venomoth, looking towards Bagon with a newfound respect.

Ryka limped up the street, the support form the bike being the only thing holding her up. She figured if she kept going down this street, she'd wind up in the center of downtown, and much closer to the Pokemon Center. Sure enough, when Ryka reached the end of the road, she spotted a large fountain in front of an even larger building. "That must be the Pokemart.. the huge one. Wow!" She stared in awe at the large building, until she heard some voices. She turned her head around to see a Bagon and a Venemoth battling. She recognised Jaeshan and Keegan, but not the girl Jaeshan was battling. "I don't want to make a commotion.." Ryka said softly. She walked over to the fountain and sat on the edge, and luckily she was able to watch the end of the battle. When she saw that Bagon had been the victor, she softly clapped.

Nina smiled a little and nodded when Kilik mentioned Mike becoming the Hoenn Champion. "Yes," she said, "I can picture that. He's similar to you, Kilik; he's an amazingly skilled Trainer, and obstacles don't slow him down very much." She looked to Sakura, who was still hopping around, then started speaking again.
"As for you, though? Don't you worry about it; you will find your niche. It will take you some time, but you'll know when you've found it. Trust me."

Kilik blinked slightly. Him? Like Mikey? The boy smiled at her words of encouragement. "Thanks. Then again..." he laughed, "That won't stop me from getting badges before I find my 'niche'." He lifted a Pokeball from his belt and pressed the button, releasing Elekid from inside it. The Electric-type scrambled up the boy's arm and to his head, finding his resting place once again. Kilik gave Nina's hand another squeeze when he bit his bottom lip.
"Any other trainers battle you for a badge yet?" he asked her.

Nina chuckled a little bit. "No, no," she said, "you were the first one to challenge me. In a way, that was beneficial for you because I wasn't very experienced in battling other trainers. I have a feeling that if I was, then I might have wiped the floor with you, Kilik." She grinned widely
As she bounced around, Sakura looked up at the Elekid sitting on Kilik's head. She raised an eyebrow, but continued bouncing, and started to dance a little.

"Well you still gave me a run for my money," he scratched the back of his head with his free hand. The boy looked over at the happy Bellossom and raised an eyebrow. "When did it evolve?" he asked her, slipping his free hand into his pocket. Not only was he unaware that she ever had a Sun Stone, Kilik didn't even know that she had a Gloom to begin with. Elekid let out a yawn, patting him on the head.

"It was sort of recently," Nina replied. "When she was an Oddish, she evolved after she battled an Electrode, back in Mahogany. That was a short while before Sabrina had gotten killed, and after my crazy, psycho rampage, I had evolved her." She looked to Kilik's head.
"Do you plan to have him evolve?" she asked, nodding her head in the Pokemon's direction.

Kilik looked up to see the dangling hand of Elekid in front of his face. "Of course!" he laughed, "Maybe when he evolves into an Electabuzz, he won't be such a whiner." He tapped the dangling hand to watch it retreat into his hair. He laughed slightly. "Besides, maybe there'll even be a Pokemon that evolves from Electabuzz!" his eyes seemed to sparkle, "Wouldn't that be neat? Pokemon that evolve from the ones we have now?" He then looked away.
"Then again, I doubt that'll happen."

"Electabuzz... Hmm. Well, if he did evolve into one of those, he'd at least be at Anastasia's level of evolution," Nina replied with a little grin. "Anastasia is the Jynx that Sabrina used to have... it used to be such a brat when it was just a Smoochum." She chuckled at her remark as they passed the Pokemon Center; Sakura, still dancing around, nearly tripped up a man who was coming out of the center.
"Oh, crap!" Nina said, scooping up her Pokemon, and then looking up to the man; he was a little taller than she was. "I'm very sorry, sir," she apologized. "Are you okay? You almost took a tumble."
The man had a kind face, and he smiled. "It's okay, my dear," he replied. "I wasn't exactly watching where I was going either; I was daydreaming a little bit." He grinned, and looked over to Kilik, then back to Nina. "Oh, I'm sorry," he said, "I hope that my prattling off didn't interrupt you two."
Nina shook her head. "It's alright, we were just out for a walk, anyway." She squeezed Kilik's hand in her own.

Kilik gasped slightly and then looked at the man. "Yeah, just a walk." He scratched his nose with his free hand as the two walked passed him. The boy struggled to figure out something else to say to her. So, instead, he remained silent. Elekid patted him on the head a few times. Still unable to think of anything to say, Kilik looked over at Nina. He then gulped. The boy leaned in and left a quick peck on her cheek, a mad blush creeping along his cheeks. He gave her hand a tight squeeze when it happened.
"For kissing me in Blackthorn," he whispered.

Nina smiled a little, and she led Kilik to sit down underneath a tree with her; she leaned against the tree, setting Sakura on the ground, and looked to her friend.
"You know, you really don't need to be afraid to talk to me," she said. "I promise, I won't hurt you, or anyone else, again..." She blinked, and sort of tilted her head. "Is... are you worried that I will? That I'll go back to that, I mean."
