FYI: You need to download two files -- the GTK runtime environment, and the GIMP itself.

GIMP is the poor man's Photoshop blaugh I've been using it for a while and it is not quite as powerfull as Photoshop (some of them special effects take forever to execute and sometimes it crashes) nor does it contain such a big support community (as can be seen in the number of brushes for GIMP as oppossed to Photoshop) but it can be very useful. And I'm all for supporting open source software.
Oh your first stop for brushes should be the deviantart resources section biggrin

I joined up last March. My account is almost one year old~ ^^
I wonder if the admins will release another part of the Bunny/Chicky set this Easter. Perhaps Bunny/Chicky pajamas or shirts. *wants hand-held Easter eggs and marshmallow peeps, but knows this is not likely*
*HA* How about a combination of the Von Helson vs. Gambino plotline with an Easter theme and a bow to the old April Fool's event? Users can go on a large map-based Easter Egg hunt, but some of the Easter Eggs are actually Easter Grenades. If you accidentally pick up a grenade, all the eggs you've collected so far are destroyed, your avatar is stripped naked, and your body goes all burnt-black and toasty.

I installed the Runtime environment first, but I don't think it matters which you DOWNLOAD first. Use a Mirror that is close to your actual location -- don't pick one in Asia if you're in Europe, for instance.

...okay, this is not really a reason to hate. But it does make many of my ava-edit PSDs useless, as they're all squashed together. Solvable by saving memory and NOT putting all your costumes in one file, Kimi.
