"Wha-?!" Sora tried to gasp, throwing up his arms to guard and summoning the Keyblade in the same action. However, there was no need- Dawn had summoned Garuda, who had managed to protect him. Immediately, the Keyblader jumped to his feet, but instead of turning to face the Nobodies, he turned and grabbed hold of the rope that held Anthony and Sayrike, beginning to pull the two up. "Hold on, I've got you!"

Kyle ignored Joe's retort, and in the ensuing chaos, threw his held Starlight at Xaldin, who had casually landed on the deck, his six spears hovering around him as he smirked deviously. However, the blast was deflected, knocked away by one of the spears before the Whirlwind Lancer vanished. Growling, the swallow-wielder instead launched himself at Larxene, his legs having been Charged with a dragoon-jump. He appeared as nothing more than a blur of green and white as he attempted to strike at the Nobody.

Without warning, Xaldin appeared between James and Jenny; stretching both arms out toward them, his six spears appeared, three stabbing at Quistis and three stabbing at Jenny.

"Can't get any rest around here," Kuja muttered, having appeared at the helm by Barbossa and Jack. From the whole length of the ship away, he charged a Firaga spell and launched it at Luxord, hoping to catch the Nobody off guard.

[Jenny :: Caribbean Sea :: Black Pearl]

The flautist had barely managed to get back on her feet as she tried her best to ignore the stinging feeling of the splinters under her nails. Before she had any chance to gather herself, Jenny had to dodge sharply to the right to avoid one of Xaldin's spears only to feel the other two slice open her arms. Not having the best of balance in the world plus a moving ship plus Xaldin was not a happy mix as Jenny stumbled backwards into the wall of the cabin.

Ignore blood, threat of drowning is more likely than dying of blood loss... I can't say that'll be the case if he throws his spears in for another round but... for now. "Stellar Flash!" In response, a glyph glowed underneath the Whirlwind lancer, brighter due to the darkened skies. Then without warning a blast of energy exploded right beneath Xaldin's feet.

[Larxene :: Caribbean Sea :: Black Pearl]

Larxene was moving towards Sora again, throwing a bolt of lightning towards the keyblader and the tessen wielder. The lightning crackled through the air, illuminating its entire path.

She turned at that point to face Kyle while still moving, a smile curving its way up her face. . She summoned her kunai back to her hands as she continued to sail backwards so that she could face the mage-knight.

"Oh, am I going to have to break this toy?" Larxene asked, breaking into giggles as she finished her question. Without waiting for a response, she hurled bolts of lightning towards Kyle. She tossed bolt after bolt, drowning him in a sea of electricity before she suddenly stopped all her movement. She waited that split second as Kyle caught up with his own speed, slashing at him with her kunai.

[Amy : Angel Grove : Outside the Church]

I'm fast, Amy thought, considering Alan's suggestion that some of them go ahead and check out what Alpha was talking about. Ooze had removed himself to the other side of the volcano, and was attacking townspeople, while they were being distracted by fighting their own allies.

Beatrix looked directly at her then, purple eyes boring into her. Amy back-peddled and summoned her weapons, the ugly pink and brown ranger suit replacing her normal attire. "Alan!" she called, "Protera!" There was really no need to say any of her spells out loud, much less name the target of them, but something about being in Angel Grove made it feel right. Regardless, Alan would feel the boost.

[Anthony ~.~ Caribbean Sea ~.~ Black Pearl]

Feeling himself being pulled out of the water, Anthony looked up to see Sora hoisting both Sayrike and himself back up to the ship.

"My goodness... What a beast! He's hoisting up like 300 pounds! He's kinda strong for a scrawny lookin' kid," he thought to himself.

As soon as the pair were lifted out of the water, a sigh of relief escaped the boy's lips as he looked down and confirmed that the oddity remained confined to the sea. Once he was close enough to the railing, Anthony grabbed on and pulled both the girl and himself onto the deck.

Removing the rope from around his waist, Anthony turned to Sora and thanked him, placing a hand on the boy's arm in appreciation for his help. Just then, his attention was redirected to Larxene who had just hurled a bolt of lightning in their direction. In one quick movement, Anthony pushed Sora out of the way and summoned his twin cestuses, raising them in defense. The bolt struct his metallic gauntlets, immediately sending spikes of electricity coursing through his body. He gritted his teeth, groaning from behind them, as his body became tense from the electricity running through his body.

Once the attack had done its damage, Anthony fell to a knee, his body twitching from time-to-time due to the attack, smoking rising from his clothes that mended themselves from the burns and tears caused by the lightning bolt. "Should've given that a little more thought...," he said, coughing up some smoke.

[Cory .:. Angel Grove .:. Outskirts]

"Let's party!" The Revblade flew through the air, shredding through a few Shadows as Cory charged in behind it, his arms and legs blazing with Indomitable Will. He punched the first Heartless that made the mistake of lunging at him, sending it flying as it dissipated in the air, colliding with a few more Shadows before vanishing completely. He brought the same arm back, driving his elbow into another lunging Heartless with the same result as the punch. "That all you got?!" The Azure Ranger exploded into the air, the force of his jump kicking back dust as he began spinning like a buzzsaw, the Will focusing in his right leg. He came crashing down on a Shadow, crushing it and the earth beneath him as the Will was release in a weak shockwave, pushing back the rest of the Shadows.

He turned on his heel and charged another Heartless, resummoning the Revblade and separating its top half from its bottom before kicking the top half away. He turned and grabbed another lunging Shadow by its face, his hand covered in the Will as he Resolved his knee. With a single movement, he brought his leg up and the Heartless down, smashing it on his knee and destroying it. "This is nothing to me anymore! Bring something-" He suddenly burst from sight, a white glint of light passing through all of the Shadows before he came back into view. He turned to see all of the Heartless vanish before adding, "A little bigger than a dog."

The ground suddenly shifted as the rogue said this, prompting him to turn to see where the tremor had come from. Cory couldn't help but grin, turning off his Resolve as he rested the Revblade on his shoulder. "Infernal Machine, huh? When I said bigger than a dog, I didn't mean as big as a 7-11." He fell into stance, Indomitable Will spreading over the Revblade as he said, "This might take a bit longer than those Shadows. Damn Heartless, I'm trying to play mechanic here!"

[[Louis : Black Pearl : Below Deck]]

Louis felt the trembling, then the sudden unnatural lurch of the ship. He struggled to keep his ballance as he stumbled from one side of the room to the other before colliding with the wall. Louis gathered himself as the ship corrected itself before he headed for the deck again.

At the door to the open air, Louis halted, inches from the light staring out, cloaked in shadow. He spotted Larxene, he hated that woman. While her fighting style was admirable, and personality entertaining to watch, she was anything but someone he wished to encounter under his circumstances.

Larxene knows my face. She met me before at the castle and we didn't exactly get along. I wouldn't put it past her to ruin my cover on purpose. I can't go out there right now... but I can't just do nothing... s**t... what do I do?

Louis slipped back down below deck, his mind racing for an answer to his dilemma. A thought came to him, reminded of his tactics in Halloween Town. He'd just need to find a safe place to prepare.

Moving as quick as he could in spite of the constant shifting of the floor beneath his feet, Louis finally spotted a safe corner where he could keep himself steady for the duration of the battle.

Once in position, Louis opened two dark portals, just big enough to fit a basketball through. He slipped his hands into the portals and concentrated. He closed his eyes, straining for a moment before he felt something brush against his consciousness. He reached out into the flood of infernal beings and took hold. It was like grabbing hold of a fish. Twice he felt it nearly slip away entirely when he finally got a good hold of it.

Instantly, he felt a strange, almost primal connection to the force. His mind seemed to split into two halves. One, his own; intelligent, rational, and strategic. The other, the mass; blood thirsty, destructive, and stupid. The second half could only be described as person in regard to a swarm of killer bees on a rampage.

Louis snapped open his right eye, ripples running along the white to the center like a pool of water, then stretched out his iris to the edge as the returned outward.



[[Above Deck]]

[[Cue: Blue Bird]]

Up above by the crows nest, a dark portal opened up. Nothing came out, but there was a strange resonating force that seemed to block anything from going in. Below the ship, the water stirred as what looked like a whirlwind of lights gathered in the depths and slowly grew brighter.

Out of seemingly nowhere, a pirate heartless flew in as fast as it could, ramming itself into Larxene like a football player right into James' Lunar Blast without any regard for its own well being. A dozen or more spiraled overhead and descended upon the group, moving in sets of 3 like a formation of fighter planes. One of the groups charged Xaldin, aligning next to Auron along their path, while moving to protect Quistis and Jenny by knocking the Whirlwind Lancer away before his attacks could connect.
