((I'm gonna skip some details of birth.. for the sake of our younger viewers...))
A little bit later, Ashira still floated, breathing quite hard from the pain and work involved in labor. Her eyes were slightly clouded over from her exhaustion and most of their silver glow had subsided into an eerie pulse.

Hiei had managed to stay long enough for the baby to be born, but then the pain drove him back to his own body. He gasped, and struggled to get up and get away from there.

Shadow_Orexia "It's time I cashed in on you." Shadow's fists became surrounded with white spirit energy and he began to pummell Hiei's face. Hiei couldn't do too much at that point. He clenched his fists, finally managing to bring up an arm to block.

Ashira completely ignored the child. Her mind was totally blank besides the fact that she was so tired. The eerie pulse continued to emit from her eyes as she slowly turned her head to look for Hiei.

The baby started crying. He had grey eyes and a veeeerrrry small amount of blonde hair. He was very tiny, more-so than most newborns.
Shadow's right fist was intercepted by Hiei's arm, and Shadow immediately grabbed Hiei with his left hand and tossed him across the rooftop, sword still through his torso. A bloody trail from Shadow to Hiei was made across the roof. "YOU COULD'VE LIVED, YOU COULD'VE STAYED AWAY FROM ME, BUT YOU LOVE MESSING WITH MY PLANS, YOU INSIGNIFICANT LITTLE WORM!" Shadow's dark aura changed to pink with traces of his dark energy floating through it, "I WONT LET YOU TAKE THEM AWAY FROM ME YOU MURDERER!"

Ashira slowly turned her head to look at the baby that was supposedly hers. She wasn't thinking straight.. where did Hiei go.. She shut her eyes slowly and held the newborn gently, only thinking about Hiei right then.

Hiei was able to dodge the majority of the shards, but he did get nailed by some. He had to face it--with a sword in his gut and his face pounded in, he wouldn't be getting anywhere too fast. "Baka. I came because she asked me to."

Ashira looked down at the crying newborn blankly, watching it wriggle and wail in her arms. She wondered why it was still crying.... what exactly was she supposed to do with it anyway... Her thoughts went to Hiei again, ~Hiei....?~ she called softly.
