Ryka was becoming excited. A new place to explore! What a wonderful experience.. Ryka snapped her head around as she heard a large sound, a helicopter hovering above, with a man in an orange suit on top. His Dragonite had just shot a Hyper Beam into the crowd behind her.. was he crazy? Ryka and Iris both jumped out of their seats in a hurry. Ryka looked around quickly. Everywhere she saw people running around in a frenzy, but she silently scanned them for her friends. She spotted Robin running towards the stage, where a cold-looking woman cornered the Professor, and Jaeshan chasing after her. Hurriedly deciding, she ran up the isle in pursuit of her friends. Iris was able to understand what she was doing and ran ahead.
Ryka caught up to Jaeshan fairly easily, for most of the crowd had cleared out of the center isle. "How are we going to handle this?" She questioned him breathelessly, trying to keep up with his long strides.
~~x~~
"Snap! Snap! Snap!" Blythe cheerfully chanted as she took pictures left and right. The scary-looking lady and accompanying man on the stage? Snap! The brown-haired boy with the Breeloom? Snap! The blond-haired girl and the redhead? Snap~! "This is exciting!" Blythe cheered. "Hey, Ruru? Could you take me up?" She asked the balloon. He nodded and held out his strings(?), which she grabbed onto with both hands. Haruka floated upwards only a small amount, but a higher vantage point meant a better view. "Just not too much.. we don't want anyone to see us!" Blythe said cheerfully as she continued snapping the camera.

Kilik wiped some dirt off of his face and looked over at Mike. "Good job," he said, giving him a thumbs up. He always liked Portabello. He was glad that he was here now. Aggron, on the other hand, was not. He remembered the battle against him in Lilycove when he was still a Lairon. The beast leaned in, his eyes cold on Breloom's face. "Not right now!" Kilik barked, recalling the behemoth. He stashed the ball away into his pocket. The boy then looked back at Mike. The wind was still blowing harshly from the force of the explosion caused by Hyper Beam. The boy sighed. "We can never catch a break, can we?" he laughed quietly.
His attention turned straight to the stage, seeing Mai and her Typhlosion threatening the professor. It's on all fronts! he thought. As people were screaming, his world began to spin around him. His first thought was to go and try and help everyone else, but among the trainers there, he was one of the strongest. He heard Kasiya and nodded. "That's right!" he grabbed Flygon's PokeBall and let it fly. The dragon popped out, ready to rumble. She could feel the tension from inside her ball. Whatever was going on out here would definitely be exciting.
Giovanni merely shook his head. "You don't seem to realize the situation you're in, Children!" he called out, sliding his hands from his pockets and placing them behind his back. "Should you attack me or my Grunts, Mai is positioned to take out the good Professor. So sorry," he feigned sadness as he looked over at the man, then turned his attention back to the kids. His smirk widened. The Dragonite beside him charged up another Hyper Beam and let it blast across the city, down an opposite street. Explosions and the sounds of glass shattering echoed through the town.
"Now then! Grunts, steal the Pokemon from the weaker ones!" He commanded, throwing his hand out. "But our little friends here...I want to watch them struggle." Everything is going according to plan. "Leo!" he barked, "snag that briefcase and throw it up here! There's surely something rare inside." His whole body tingled with anticipation.

M.A. had found the seminar vaguely interesting, but nothing particularly imprinted itself on her mind. She didn't know much about Pokemon to begin with, so the unraveling of a new region and new Pokemon didn't exactly blow her mind. It simply meant there was a lot more out there to explore and see; it'd be nice, she mused, to go there. She'd have to go buy a jacket though. Wondered if she had enough money?
Such idle thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a chaos so abrupt that M.A. wasn't exactly sure what happened. One moment, she was furrowing her brow at that annoying sound in the sky -- damn media -- and the next second, people were screaming and yelling and green little bubbles were poppin' up, beams flyin' everywere, chairs flipped over in the mess, did she mention people were screaming? Ulani was besides herself in panic, knocking M.A. onto her butt on the ground, and M.A.'s only reaction could be to recall the bird before she hurt herself, or someone inside this... strange bubble thing. But no, it was fading now. Must have been one of those Pokemons' moves, either that mushroom thing or that giant thing Kilik just recalled.
Either way, M.A. just sat there, cross-legged and blinking. "I'm guessing this wasn't part of the program..." she murmured, watching the Rockets pop up. She'd seen these uniforms before, if she could remember correctly. Those guys back in that one city, near Azaela. In Azaela? She couldn't remember. But that was irrelevant, her inner voice argued; her mind struggled to make sense of what was going on. It was so alien to this peaceful girl, this sudden violence and action. Straight out of a action flick, except she was probably witnessing it a little closer than what might be comfortable.
Somehow, it appeared that the orange guy and quite a few of the trainers she met today had some kind of connection, and not a very fond one at that. Made sense; that orange guy was blowing up things left and right, how inconsiderate of him. The townspeople would have so much to clean up... She vaguely heard sirens of fire trucks. Oh, no, she had to concentrate on the present. No zoning out in such a dangerous area. What was she supposed to do?
A reasonable answer was run, of course... You were taught to get away from bad things. She could find Saebum in the chaos, he'd know what to do. But before she could move, she suddenly felt someone yank something off her belt. "Hey!" she shouted, suddenly very alert. With surprising speed and viciousness, she socked the Grunt in his face, bowling him over. The Pokeball he had just tried to make away with plopped to the ground, revealing a somewhat confused Daemyn. What the hell was going on around here?
The grunt rubbed his cheek woefully. Damn, he thought he could be sly and steal all these Pokemon without the trouble of confrontation. She looked like a spacy one, too. Before he could react further, however, he saw a lick of hot flames flash towards him, and it was only his quick maneuvering that got him out of the way of those deadly flames. "s**t, I'll find some easier target," he muttered, making the best out of his quick feet and disappearing.
What a coward, M.A. thought. She realized, though, that running away and deserting the "good guys" would haunt her. She probably couldn't help much, but it was better than doing nothing.

"Aww you've gotta be kidding me I got on the wrong ferry" Eraku sighed slapping his hand across his forehead. "Well Hurricane looks like we are going to Fuchsia." Hurricane tilted his head to the side and cooed noticing the frustration on his young trainer's face. Eraku walked over to the railing and looked out over the open ocean. "Well this is just great start to things." He muttered. "Hey Kid!" someone shouted from behind him. Eraku turned to face a short pudgy kid staring at him. "Man a pidgey lame!" the kid said staring at Hurricane with a look of disgust. "I bet my Wingull could take that little pipsqueak out no problem." Eraku stared at the kid thinking maybe if he stared long enough maybe he might just explode. "Ok kid I don't know what your problem is but I'm about to set you straight."

We presently zoom to a dark, peaceful Solaceon Town, as far as any one can get from the ruckus everywhere else. "How cute, Alice," Jun smiled, finding her quite a doll. Over-eager, blushing, she even stopped herself from going overly verbose. Cute girl. It wouldn't be hard to transform her into something stunning, either; with a little hairspray and maybe some extensions and blush and mascara, he could easily make her the most luminous girl in town. Now, if she were only blonde, he could think of her as the Alice from Alice in Wonderland. He could be the Cheshire Cat. Aidan could be... a reluctant White Rabbit. On second thought, though, blondes were so everyday nowadays; he absolutely treasured the red-headed clients that came trickling in on rare occasions. Red hair, after all, was a recessive gene; its rarity, as well as its copper shine, made Jun absolutely lust to volumize and wave it. Oh, the fun he could have.
Jun's sharp eyes noted Aidan's discomfort regarding the note. What, he couldn't think of what to write or somethin'? Made sense. Good-byes could be hard. Jun generally avoided doing them altogether. "Well, whatever. Hearthome's a nice place to crash. Plus, I got some dirt on the hotel manager there that he certainly would not like his wife to see; that means free beds and VIP treatments!" If Jun had thought about it more, he would have been more curious as to why Aidan didn't want to write said note or go to Veilstone, but he honestly didn't really care. Jun was only a**l retentive when he wanted to be.

Serenity was patiently waiting for the next question to be answered when she heard the faint wiffing of blades moving through the air. Everyone was starting to move their attention to the direction of the noise. Sere noticed a huge black helicopter with a large 'R' imprinted on the side of it. 'Rockets?' She wondered. A bit of panic rose back into the calmness that had managed to envelope her, she did her best to squash it back down. She had heard many stories from her mother and Alex about Team Rocket, and what they were up to. She really didn't think she'd have to deal with them at all. She had been hoping to get out of the region before getting mixed up with anyone that would prefer to steal high leveled pokemons then experiencing the pleasure of training them. 'Well, it makes sense that they'd show up to an event like this. Everyone is here!'
As the copter came into view Serenity could see that there was a man standing on top a platform on the helicopter with a Dragonite besides him. Before she had a chance to react in anyway the entire crowd was hit with a hyper beam and chaos erupted. Sere barely noticed that a chair had hit her and sent her to the ground, there was so much screaming and so many things flying. While on the ground she did her best to keep her self from being trampled by the panicking peoples running about. When she had a moment to think Sere realized that George was no longer with her. That's when she started to panic. She threw off the chair that she had kept over herself to keep her safe and started to look for her little blue pokemon.
Serenity noticed that there was now a girl on the stage with the professor. She looked familiar some how but Sere couldn't place why. She wasn't all that concerned either because from the looks of it the girl was actually threatening the professor. Plus at the same time she heard a voice give permission to steal pokemon, and there was just no time to wonder what was going on, she HAD to find George. It wasn't going to be easy in this crowd of people.
Not too far away from her Sere caught a glimpse of someone wearing a Rocket uniform fighting with a blue pokemon. 'Well that was a little easier than I thought.' She ran up to him, and tapped him on the shoulder. "You know he's much easier to deal with, if you talk to him like he's human."

Serenity was surprised at her boldness, but the little wanker had her pokemon.
"Uh...t-thanks?" He said. Sere was surprised. The boy couldn't have been older than her. He looked so meak, and that was saying something coming form her. George noticed that Sere was there and just started stuggling more.
"Oh, sorry I meant he behaves better when I talk to him as though he's human." She said with the biggest smile on her face. The boy looked as though he wanted to run, but Serenity saw that he managed to focus himself and put forth a hard face.
"This pokemon belongs to Team Rocket now." The boy reached for the one ball that was on his belt. "If you want it you'll have to batte me for it." A Horsea flew out of the ball and landed at Sere's feat. She was both disgusted that someone would think that pokemon are possesions and surprised by how lucky she got. With all these grunts out here she got the one that was a new trainer, and with Raddish by her side, she had only small doubts that she would be able to walk away from this with both her pokemon.
"I don't know what you think you're playing at, but I'll accept your challenge." She released Raddish.
The poor pokemon looked so confused as to what was going on. The oddish quickly realized that the pokemon in the arms of the other trainer was George. Well, if Sere didn't think that Raddish had much of a temper she knew now. The pokemon openned her mouth to protest but insted of poke-speak came this flood of liquid. It hit both the Horsea and the grunt's shoes, cause a bit of steam to come off both. Sere was completely shocked, but from what she could tell so was Raddish.
"Well done sweatheart, that was an acid attack!" Sere bounced up and down, so proud of her pokemon that she almost forgot she was in the middle of a battle. Unfortunately the rather ticked of tiny sea horse did not. It countered Raddish's attack with a smokescreen, and both Sere and Raddish were covered in a thin fog. The pokemon was definately not going to make this easy. Sere now worried that she wouldn't be able to see the trainer, if he decided to bolt in the middle of a battle and take George with him.
Serenity backed up a bit, and the oddish followed. "Okay Raddish use your absorb. This battle shouldn't take too long." The small plant nodded and then concentrated. Sere was impressed. Every time she saw Raddish use this attack it got stronger. The green energy ball left the leaves ontop of the pokemon's head and headed in the direction of the other pokemon. She could see the Horsea start to panic, as well as it's trainer. When the energy hit the pokemon, the water type looked as though it had enough. It wobbled a bit then laid it's self down, and didn't even attempt to get back up.

Riza heard the sounds as well and she looked around too, trying to find its source. Her eyes widened when she realized it was a helicopter, sporting a big red R on the side of it. Now Riza wasn't really one to pay attention to the news and such but even she knew about Team Rocket. "What are they doing here?" she whispered to herself, looking up at the Dragonite that Crenu had pointed out. "Wow, don't see many of those," she murmured, though fear blossomed in her eyes as she saw it fire off a powerful Hyper Beam. She turned her back to the blast, shielding the now-terrified Ralts from harm, wincing as she felt bits of debris bounce off her exposed back. Right now she was more worried about her Pokemon, and as she heard the order for the grunts to take the weaker Pokemon, fear began to course through her. 'No, not Sneasel and Ralts,' she thought, backing up involuntarily. She didn't hear Crenu's question as she'd been overtaken by panic, and all she could do was sink to her knees, clutching the small psychic to her chest as though it were some magical means of keeping her Pokemon safe. * * * * * "I told you you'd be sorry!" Katie hollered, once again telling her Starly to attack. Noa chirped loudly, obviously as angry as her trainer was and she soared through the sky before diving down and smacking the bidoof with both of her wings. 'Hey, Noa knows wing attack,' Katie thought with a smile. That would be all she wrote though as the plump mouse pokemon collapsed in a heap on the ground. "Next!" Katie shouted impatiently, ready to put the hurt on the older kid and whatever Pokemon he sent out next.
"Okay so you beat my little brother, big deal. I'll have you know that I have two Pokemon, so it's not gonna be so easy, little girl!" Once the younger brother had backed off the older one sent out a small, orangey brown Pokemon with a strange yellow ring around its neck and two tails.
"It's a buizel," Katie said, furrowing her brow. 'If Noa can't take it down then Genki's gonna have a hard time with this.' She pursed her lips and pointed at the water-type. "Get it with your wing attack, Noa!" she shouted, watching with satisfaction as her small bird Pokemon dive bombed the sea weasel and smacked it hard with her wings.

The Rocket grunt looked dismayed that he had lost so fast. "It was a lucky type match." Sere said, she felt a little bad for the boy. She couldn't help it. Her face turned serious again. "Now, I beleive you have something that is mine." The boy stretched out his now scratched arms, eyes on his horsea the entire time, and handed her back George. "Thank you." She said. She gave George a big kiss on the top of his head before placing the pokemon down on the ground. Sere turned to let Raddish know how proud she was of her, only to find that a Pidgey had swooped in and tackled the plant to the ground.
"Mother ********." Sere whispered. These guys were just not going to let up. Sere looked around to try and find the trainer that belonged to this pokemon, and saw that in the distance a female Rocket grunt was standing by and admiring the work her pokemon was doing.
"Now gust Rocky!" the Grunt called. Sere could make out the huge smile on the Grunt's face. 'Oh jebus.' Sere thought.
Raddish tried to get out of the way of the huge gust of wind created by the birds wings but there was just no way to escape it. The oddish was carried up into the air then thrown down on the ground. Even though she had just experienced a wonderful victory of her own Raddish knew that this one was just too strong for her. The plant got back to her feet but wobbled a bit.
'I am not letting her go down after winning.' Sere thought. "Come on back Raddish! You'll get her another time!" Serenity pulled Raddish's pokeball off her belt and recalled the now very beaten pokemon.
"Okay George, lets show this poor sport how we do things. Tackle that horrible cowardly bird." Sere pointed at the Pidge that had been insructed to attack when her back was turned.
George having just had his own little ordeal wasn't going to hesitate kicking some butt. The mudkip, backed up a little then charged head long at the bird pokemon that had tried to steal Raddish's victory away. He made contact and sent the other pokemon flying back quite aways, but it recovered and glided back to where George was standing.
"Sand attack Rocky! I've taught you not to take that from a lesser pokemon." The grunt called out. Serenity was starting to get really annoyed now. Since when were there lesser pokemon? Someone had to teach these guys a lesson.
The bird turned around and started to flick sand into the eyes of George. The burning sensation caused him to lash out, unintentionally using his mud slap attack. It hit the Pidge right in the head and the bird stumbled a bit. George looked up at Serenity hoping that she wasn't mad that he had used an attack with out being told. It was reflex.

Serenity was surprised by George's quick rebound attack to the sand that was being thrown in his eyes. When he had rubbed most of it out, he looked up at her and had sad eyes as though he was sorry for what he had done. "George don't worry about it." She smiled. "Now use your water gun." The pokemon smiled and turned back to face it's attacker but it wasn't quick enough, and hadn't anticipated the Pidgey gaining it's footing back so soon. George quickly found himself on the ground with several scratches all over him, trying to fight the bird off of him.
"Good quick attack Rocky!" The grunt called out. "Now lets see another gust."
George was not having any of that. He may have been too small yet to have thrown that bird off him self but he was quick enough to unleash a powerful burst of water directed at the bird. The Pidgey chirped as it got a beak filled with watter. The mudkip chuckled a bit as the bird spit out all the watter that had collected in it's mouth during the attack. Even Serenity couldn't help but laugh as the bird ruffled it's feathers in an attempt to get the water off.
The Grunt was now closer to the battle and looked less than pleased. Sere on the other hand was completely satisfied. Sure both pokemon were very tired, but George had held his own, and that's all that mattered to her. As long as the battle wasn't an easy one for the horrid Team Rocket, Sere was satisfied.
George was getting tired. Not as tired as when he battled Raddish earlier, at least not yet, but he wasn't expecting this bird to be so hard. The two pokemons looked at eachother taking a breather for a moment.
"What the hell are you doing just sitting there?! Get up off your butt and do another quick attack on that pokemon!" The Grunt yelled at the Pidgey. "God! I did not train you to just sit there!!"
Sere's blood was starting to boil. What manner of people talk to their pokemon this way? Who gave them the right to do that. Serenity was surprised when the pokemon got up, after being talked to like that. She felt sorry for it, since it obviously looked like it had, had enough.

"Waaah?" The chubby kid yelled. "You heard me tubby. You, me one on one right here right now." Eraku said to the kid. "Of course it shouldn't be any trouble if your Wingull is as good as you say." He'd had enough with this kid and he was going to teach him a thing or two about Hurricane. "uhhh ok kid I'll take you on, lets go wingull!" the kid said halfheartedly. Out of the pokeball came a small white and blue bird but it looked as though this kid had been over feeding his wingull as the little bird looked like a blue and white beach ball wiith wings. Eraku leaned over to Hurricane and whispered to him " Ok Hurricane we're gonna go easy on this one. The poor thing can barely get into the air." And with that Hurricane hopped onto the deck giving his opponent a fierce stare.

George was completely baffled by the way the other trainer spoke to the pokemon. He couldn't remember a time when Serenity had even raised her voice at him, let alone talked to him in such a way. He was suddenly very thankful, despite all of her faults, that he had such a loving trainer. George reminded himself to let her know when this chaos had cleared how much he appreciated everything she did. Even her shiness was nothing compaired to how that pokemon was being treated.
The pidgey got up once more and prepared it's self to attack. "George, I need you to dodge then do a tackle. This bird isn't going to take much more of this." Serenity was surprised it even had the energy left over to attempt a quick attack. She had all the faith in the world that George would be able to dodge the attack. He looked as though he was fairing a bit better right now, although not a lot. She was going to have to use a potion on him, since it didn't look as though they would be able to get to the poke-centre any time soon.
George got up himself when he heard Sere's commands and steadied himself for the attack. Again at lightning speed the bird came at him, and although George tried his best to dodge the attack, it was just so fast. He ended up with even more scratches on his right shoulder as he tried to jump out of the way. The mudkip was quick enough still and rebounded with a tackle that hit the Pidgey before it even had a chance of knowing what was going on.
Serenity couldn't help but feel sad as she watched the bird collapse on the ground. The last attack that George landed looked as though it was going to be enough. She feared what the grunt would do when she found out she had lost. Sere didn't have to wait long to find out. When it was clear that the Pidgey wasn't getting back up again to make another attack, the trainer came stomping up to her.
"Team Rocket will still win this day. Even if I have a useless pokemon, others do not, as you can see." The grunt pointed to the Dragonite that the apparent leader of the Rockets was using. "I'll meet up with you again as soon as I get a pokemon that isn't worthless."
Sere had heard quite enough. "That pokemon is not useless! Maybe if you just started treating it better it would be more responsive to you. I saw it put up quite a fight! They both did." She said. She couldn't help but be angry at such an ignorant fool. What did she know about pokemon. If all of Team Rocket was made up of people like this it was no wonder that they wanted to take people's loved ones from them.
"What do you know?" The grunt said. She made her way over to the pidgey. "Pokemon are only good if you have the best. Obviously this little runt is not the best." Sere watched as the grunt kicked sand in the pokemons eyes. Her heart ached for the poor little bird.

"I don't think there is anything wrong with him at all!" Serenity yelled out.
"You're a bit young to know any better. He's worthless. Not even worth keeping." Serenity watched as the Grunt took the pokeball off her belt and hit a button on the top of it. There was a flash of blue light, and Sere had expected the pokemon to be recalled into the ball, as much as it hurt her to see it go back to that trainer, but insted the Pidgey was still there sitting on the sand. "I don't need you." The Grunt said. The member of team Rocket turned and faced her. "That little one on the other hand is going to come with me." she said pointing to George.
Serenity rolled her eyes. "Give me a break. You toss one pokemon aside and try and steal another?" She couldn't believe the audacity.
"I wouldn't try and get in my way. It wouldn't be between our pokemon, and you're a bit too small to take on someone my size." The Grunt advanced on George and Sere stepped infront blocking the attack.
"Make no mistake, you are not taking him." She stood her ground firmly. The Grunt took a swing at Sere that hit her right in the side of the face, hard, knocking her to the ground. She wasn't about to give up though, she grabbed a rock that was near her, and smashed it into the the Rocket's foot. The girl screamed and jumped back, hopping on her one foot.
"Just because I'm smaller than you, doesn't mean I still can't kick your a**." Serenity said as she got back to her feet, rock still in hand. "Now get out of here, before the rock makes contact with your head."
"I'll be back, when I have a stronger pokemon." The Rocket hissed before hobbling off in the direction of her teammates.
Serenity put the rock down and bent down to pick up George. The pokemon had scratches all over both his arms and his chest, and looked as though he was just about done for the day. "You did so well!" She squeezed him tight. "I'm so proud of both you and Raddish. But you need to go away now, until we can get to a place that's quiet." She explained. George nodded. Before he went back into his pokebal he gave his trainer a quick kiss on the nose.
Once George's ball was secure on her belt, Serenity turned and started back to see if there was a place that was safe to hide out until this whole thing blew over, or ended, or did what ever it was supposed to do. There was a small chirping sound that caught her attention though, and she turned back around to find the Pidgey still sitting in the same spot that the Rocket Grunt had left him. Upon further inpection, Sere found that the pokemon was actually crying. It made her heart hurt. She went over and knelt down in front of it.
"There, there little one." She said patting it's head gently. "You're better off with out her really." It chirped a bit more and Sere thought for sure that all this extra energy it was expending was going to cause it to pass out completely. With out thinking She took an empty pokeball off her belt and tossed it at the Pidgey, hitting it and capturing it. She looked around to see if anyone saw. 'I hope I can get him better. Then he can decide what to do.' She thought, as she started running for cover from the continuely growing battle.

Mitsu had retreated into the Pokemon Center after Kasiya and Kilik's battle. Not much was going on and she had even missed the begining of Rowan's ceremony. Sinnoh, cold, new Pokemon, it was something along those lines right? But by the time she had managed to snake her way through the throngs of trainers and reached the outside a fray of panic had already enveloped the area. A Dragonite was wreaking havoc from the skies and an undeniable Rocket logo could be seen from the ground. Rockets, she thought, though not with much contempt. She hadn't been expecting them, but seeing them here didn't really surprise her either.
Heck, Giovanni is probably after Rowan and is only worried about the others. I'm probably slipping under the radar since I'm so weak compared to them, Mitsu whistled. In fact she believed she could leave right now if she wanted to, undetected and unharmed. Oddly, she found herself grinning. "I suppose I'll stay," she said to herself releasing her ever faithful Gardevior. "Teleport, let's get in there. We'll get that action you've been craving."
Karri obligied creating a small warping scene that swiftly whipped Mitsu and herself away before depositing them next to a familair face. She took note of the newly evolved Daemyn. She made a quick mental note to comment on his evolution later. "Hey M.A.," Mitsu shouted over the roar of panic and screams. "How about we double team?"

Mai narrowed her eyes at the old man in front of her, clearly not impressed. She clenched and unclenched her fists as a means of calming herself down, ans she shook her head slowly. It was just like back in Vermilion, at Diglett's Cave when the old folks had refused to just give up and let Team Rocket complete their mission. "I'm not sure you know who you're dealing with here, Professor," she said, folding her arms neatly across her chest. "I'm going to ask you nicely one last time," she went on, her patience growing thin rather quickly. "Give me the briefcase, old man. I don't want to have to hurt you, but I will."
Rowan stood his ground against her though, and Mai felt her rage start to grow. "I'm warning you, Geezer!" she said sternly, voice getting louder with each word. When the professor still didn't respond, Mai felt herself lose all control. "No one defies Team Rocket and gets away with it!" she bellowed, pointing at the mustached man. "Kero, Flamethrower, now!" The Typhlosion's ears twitched when she heard the command, and her face contorted into a devilish, toothy smirk before she reared back and let loose an intense jet of flames directly at the professor.
Ann had migrated out from behind the curtain and was now slowly inching her way onto the stage. She knew the professor could handle himself, but this woman who was confronting him seemed to be a little more of a threat than the professor realized. She eyed the Typhlosion warily and sighed. She hadn't wanted to have to do this, but right now she had no other choice. "I'm sorry, but I do believe the professor has no desire to part with his briefcase," she said, her long, slender arm already making a throwing motion. "Use Protect," she called out, as the beast burst from its Pokeball in a blinding flash of bright red light. It was as though one of those slides had came to life as the land-shark looking Pokemon materialized in front of Professor Rowan, turning so that its back was to the sudden oncoming Flamethrower. That usual, sparkly green shield rose up a split second before the flames were to impact them, and the dragon turned its head ever so slightly, snarling at the Pokemon that had just attacked Rowan. Ann smiled at the success of her Pokemon, and looked to the crowd where she saw two familiar faces rushing towards the stage, as well as a third that she didn't recognize. "Robin, Jaeshan!" she called, sure to keep one eye on the Rocket Admin, "you three, get the professor to safety. I'll take care of her," she added, winking in Mai's direction.
"What?" was all Mai managed to sputter out as the dragon blocked her Typhlosion's Flamethrower like it had been nothing. "What is this? Who are you?" She cast a hasty glance towards the three children headed her way, but none of them seemed like a viable threat. "How dare you interfere with Rocket business! Kero, attack! Crush Claw, now!" With another roar, the Typhlosion dashed forward, its mighty paw reared back as it prepared to strike the interloper.
"Ooh, she's a feisty one," 'Ann' laughed as she watched the rosy Typhlosion charge. "Garchomp, Aqua Tail!" The Mach Pokemon let out a roar of her own, faking to the left as Kero launched her attack. It missed by quite a bit, and the dragon pivoted, using her momentum to follow through with her attack. The Garchomp's powerful tail, which was glowing with a bright, watery hue, slammed directly into the stomach of the prone Typhlosion with a sickening thud, and Kero was flung back hard from the sheer force of the blow, crashing through one of the support beams that had been used to help sturdy the stage. "I guess I should introduce myself," 'Ann' said with a casual shrug, her eyes locking with Mai's icy blue ones. "My name is Cynthia, and I am the current Sinnoh Pokemon League Champion."
