We've been having so much snow where I live, we've ended up with a six-day weekend! (MLK day, Saturday, Sunday, plus three snow days!) I'm in the avatar arena this week. Look me up, leave a comment, vote, etc. Please?

Here's a heads up, I'll be gone from Gaia for at least the next week. A friend will be doing the daily chance for me while I'm gone. So IceeWitch will not be in HPGoG for at least the next week
See you all soon!
I'll vote for u ALutian

Alutian - haha we've been getting a lot of snow here too, along with extreme windstorms and heavy downpours here and there. Unfortunately, I only had one day off school during the past 3 months when all the crazy weather was happening...it was because the entire campus lost power haha. Other than that, my school never closes, not even for severe snowstorms. ><
Icee - alrighty, see you in a week! ^^
Juni - indeed I do. xp

Wow! So even with the road iced over so that driving is difficult, and snow blowing everywhere, you still have to go to school? That seems a little much to me.

I remember one time I spent nearly 3 hours on the bus in order to get to school. It usually takes me an hour max. XD

Geez you Canadians are such troopers.
Makes me feel ashamed of being Californian. Californians are such wusses when it comes to weather. Spoiled we are.

Hehe we just have to deal with it when it comes. I live on the west coast so the weather is usually more milder than the interior...but the past few months have been extremely weird. ><

Haha no offense taken! Yes, it was pretty horrible during that period...I'm just glad our roof wasn't punctured by a tree or experienced any long blackouts.
However, now our area is one of the more milder regions compared with the rest of the country. Further east temperatures have been reported that is as low as 50 degrees Celsius. >< That's EXTREMELY cold, I don't know how I'd make it through those sort of temperatures.

Are you sure you got that temperature right? Fifty degrees celcius is way above freezing point, and even above standard room temperature, which is twenty-five. Did you mean fifty below zero?

eek rofl Sorry, yes, I meant minus 50 degrees Celsius. Yeah, I was seeing those sort of temperatures on the weather network and the newspapers and I couldn't believe them...but I know some places have declared some sort of state of emergency (not full-blown, mostly weather-related), and warnings have been issued because it was cold enough for you to get frostbite if your skin is exposed to the air for as little as 10 minutes.
