Laura was curled up in a ball on a fire escape stairway. Her black silky hair hanging down past her shoulders. She sighed to herself, tired, hungry and wet.

Eihwa ~ Eihwa whirls around to face the Lycan and at the same moment targets the woman's head, hurling the knife through the air toward the center of Suki's forehead. Hopefully by aiming at the center of the creature's skull any movement to either side would produce a signifigant wound. Immediately after launching the knife she lunges for the creature, keeping mind of her dangerous teeth and claws. Her own nails have grown since entering the alleyway, an event she had not experienced fully until now, grinning evilly at the knowledge of her brandished weapons. She's going for the abdomen in hopes that she will connect. ~ She let out a small breath of air, feeling the miasma being pulled from her veins for a moment. She spotted the dagger through the air, her mind watching its pattern, she ducked out of pure instincts, her tall ear feeling the blade cut through the side of it, neatly drawing a line across her head, the warm blood moving out in thick lines. She brought her hand to the blood, then back to her face. She looked up at the now moving Eihwa and her eyes turned a solid black for a moment, the white rings around her pupils dialating in and out quickly, making her look cleanly insane. She let out a low gowl, her claws lengthening, the sharp teeth in her mouth growing sharper. "Enough of this foolishness." She spoke in a low growl that shook the ground beneath her. She evenly swung her blood covered hand out from her chest, the blades following sharply. She watched the vampire's steps carefully, her mind placing the next step to take easily. She placed her left arm there, the long blade sticking up into the air, just before the vampire was about to put her foot down. Meanwhile, her right arm still swinging powerfully, she aimed for the vampire's chest, hoping to catch her focusing on either her foot, or her chest, making the other a harmful blow. She could still feel blood dripping from her long hair, the thick fur now a bloody black, the warm blood leaving tendrils of steam behind in the cold air.

Cady sits atop a roof, on a ventilation shaft that poured out stale, hot air when the Air-Con was on in the apartments below. He has one knee pulled up while the other hangs down, and he rests the nook of his elbow on this knee. In his hand he holds his Zippo, or, a replacement for his old one. With a cross etched into the side of it. He opens the thing, runs it across his leg to light up, and brings it to the cigarette that was protuding from between his pursed lips. A drag, and blown out through his nose. He puts the lighter away, and takes the cigarette between two fingers. And he stands, and he walks to the edge of the roof, and he looks down. Three people, mortals, talking, chatting. He lets them be and walks to another part of the roof. Now this one, here, there was only one. A man, on his own. He had a family, no doubt. Bady could smell the woman on him, the pet, the dog. His daughters. But he cared no longer for such mortal things, he jumps into an alleyway, and emerges to intersec the man's path. He ushes him, ignorance of mortals, and Cady pursues a while, slowly at first but matching the man's pace. Eventually the man's heart rate slowly climbs... climbs... climbs, he becomes scared and he begsins to run, his shador in the streetlamps. One... Two... Three... and then the vampire leaps, he sails through the distance that had formed as if it were nothing, and he bgrings the man to the ground, and then drags him into an alleyway like some terrible bird of prey. And he bites into the man's neck, holding his mouth shut to stifle his cry, and mere minutes later, he is spent. A shell of a man, and he is dropped, discarded in a dumnpster for the police to find and blame on a mugger with a sick sense of humor. And cady leaves, to enjoy the night, for it is still young to those who live at night.

Rhator agained roamed the city. His fierce spirit was restless, the lack of activity among the immortals had forced him to find his pleasure elsewhere. After the killings of the druggie, the hooker, and the mugger, Rhator had also killed three innocent people just wlking along the path. His love for death was onyl satisfied with killing. He wasn't in the mood to kill mortals tonight though, he wanted something a little more fun to play with. Something that could bite back. He walked down a run-down part of New York. Multiple condemned buildings lay on his left and right.
He stopped and leaned up against the wall of a building, it's crumbling frame just barely supporting his weight, even in his hidden human form. He pulled out a european cigar, and struck a match, bringing the sweet tasting tobacco to his lips. He filled his lungs with the smoke, the cancer causing substance would have no effect on his immortal life. He stood there for hours and waited, waited for the right moment to move.

Cady was also in a... playfull mood. he got pleasure from death, but only if he could drink it. He did not enjoy the simple act of killing as many did. He walks across the streets and eventually, climbs onto a roof, and walks along the roof, too, and hops to another one like form stepping stone to stepping stone. He stops and looks around, and throws the butt of his cigarette off the roof, onto the floor below. And he breathes in the night-time air of the rotten city. There were restless spirits at work lately, in these parts.

Rhator stepped off from the wall, he had seen the cigarette butt fall almost right in front of his nose. He could fell the aura of the vampire above him, Rhator's own aura being hidden by his human form. He began walking down the sidewalk, keeping an even pace with the vampire on the roof.

The man's 'Aura' may be hiden, but Cady knows that he is not entirely as he seems. He doesn't feel right, and oh, yes he knows the man is following him, in his own way, and Cady doesn't care. if he must, let him bring a chalenge forth. let him see how much power the knowlege of several millenia of vampire history holds. But for now, cady carries on. he even begins humming a tune to himself, though only those with exceptional hearing could hope to catch it form the ground.

Rhator's mind must've been playing tricks with him, he could have sworn he heard humming.
Is that vampire toying with me? Heh, some sport at last.
Rhator shed his human form like a layer of black sand, his demonic presence now completely noticeable, the 13 foot wingspan and seven foot frame filled half of the street. No humans were in sight in this part of town.
With one giant stroke of his wings he lifted himself up into the air. The souls of the six innocents he had killed giving him a lightheaded feeling, like one of euphoric joy.
He raised himself high upt in the street, until he was level with the vampire.
"Hello there, youngling. What is a lonely vampire like you doing out on a night like this?"

Cady reers up as the Demon rises to his level, carried by some invisible waft of air, it would seem, before ladning a good distance away from him, quite softly, inf act. "Youngling? Perhaps, to you. But to vampires, knowlege... and blood, is power. Don't underestimate one of... higher breeding. For want of a better term." He says to the man, cocky, still. "I am here as I am sure you are here, enjoying the... energy of the night." and this vampire... he had a... presence about him. he felt as if he were bigger than he truly is.

"Your aura...intrigues me. You are a small being, yet your power feels stronger than you yourself look. Yet there is something different. You do not seem to have been alive for more than a few months, yet...you clearly have the wisdom of many many years."
Rhator's piercing gaze showed puzzlement.
This vampire is a contradiction of reality, young yet old...This could be fun.
"I have no quarrel with vampires, so I will not attack you. You are almost as sacred to my master ((by master Rhator is referring to the Devil)) as I am. Your soul belongs to him so it is not my right to take it. My quarrel is with traitorous scum that join the hunters and with the humans themselves."

Cady laughs at the man, and looks at the backs of his hands. ivory skinned and with veins near the surface pumping borrowed blood. "Yes. This body has existed... perhaps a year, or less." he admits, "But the blood, the flesh that was used to create this body... that was... millenia old, and the blood that had made that body a vampire... my sire, was thousands of years old before the son of god walked on this earth." but, after a while, when the demon mentions his 'master' Cady simply laughs, "Your master holds no sway over my soul. My soul is Amel's, and Amel's is mine. That is what you feel... if you were... perceptive, enough, you could see the net that holds me... all os my kind here on the mortal plane. The spirit which traps us, and simultaniously gives us strength. Power." and then he looks at the lights on the taller buildings in the distance. "The mortals are not worth wasting your time on. The hunters aggrevate me; they are arrogant. The Lycanthropes are abominations and... your kind, you... Demons" he says the word with an inflection that is less than complimentary, "Have not earned or learned your power, and for that reason, you lack my respect."

"You have no idea what it is you are talking to. Like so many others you don't understand the power we demons have. We have no weaknesses like you. We are as close to invincible as any being could become."
Rhator narrowed his eyes, he did not like being insulted.
"As to why I hunt humans that is my will. They are scum and need to be destroyed. Simple as that, there is no romantic tale of vengeance or fear of their power. They deserve to die, that is all."
Rhator scanned the vampire's aura once more.
"Your aura does indicate one of extreme age, that much I can tell. However, your comments prove to be younger than your wisdom. It is not wise to anger a demon."

"Is that so?" Cady asks. Not becoming enranged at the creatures insults at his wisdom for, rarely did this vampire become enraged anymore. At least, not without proper reason and inarticulate insults were not proper reason. "And you do not know the power we vampires hold, we have spent... thousands of years on this plane. How many have you spent out of hell? One? One Hundred? And you seek destruction without cause, you bolster the ranks of the dead for the sake of it. You're... pointless, every one of your kind. Pointless abominations. Now, the night is too short for me to waste talking to those of narrow minds." And he takes a step away from the demon, as a final insult, turning his back on the thing. The thing that was all wing and no brain.

"I'll have you know I've spent over one and a half millenia on this earth out of Hell, and my race was here at the beginning of time. Upstart younglings need to be put in their place."
Rhator cut around the side of the vampire, bringing his face within an inch of the younger creature's.
"You'll die for your disrespect, but not tonight...tonight I have...other matters to attend to."
