Requiem of Remorse stare I hate making new rpc's... I always start out by making an amazing genjutsu specialist. ...Then I think, 'Nah, I've done this to many times before...' And then I spend the next three days creating an ungodly amount of profiles, occasionally holding a mini battle in my head between them, before I end up stuck between choosing a medical shinobi or the original genjutsu specialist. Want me to send you several character concepts? I've got some really good ones floating in my head. Then again, that may just increase the difficulty of the choice. EDIT: Like what Hinote said below, it's really all about the character and their personality that really determines what they do. I generally specify for myself certain requirements that need to be met and see what I can do from there. Like for Deidalus my requirements looked a bit like this: 1. What does Iwa need at this moment? They need an instructor that can quickly increase their overall strength by making the individual strong, one that also has access to multiple elements and can teach those he doesn't have if needed. -This determined my Profession and profession-based benefits. 2.What elements are used primarily and what are each members Tertiary element if they have one? Doton for the most part but some use Katon and Raiton as tertiary. At the time another used Futon and Suiton- This determined my elements. Because the Kage had mastered all Futon Jutsu, I took Suiton, Katon, and Raiton as my Tertiary elements and as Doton was the primary element I took that as my own. 3. What bloodline/clan would work well with said profession and elements? Several choices popped up, including Hinote's Crystal release but When I noticed the abilities and weaknesses given through Chakra Mouths aka Bakuton release, I noticed that they offset that of the Tsuchikage. -This determined my bloodline/clan choice as noted. 4. With this setup, what ninja Types would balance Deidalus and provide some weakness that builds character? After scrolling through the types multiple times, I decided my first one would be Combo user. This would mean I would be able to teach up to Three techniques to up to three different students (aka a Genin Squad) and would benefit my Tactical sense of combat. For my second one I decided the best choice would be one that allowed me to use Jutsu quickly as he would need to be able to escape the confines of close quarters lest he be crushed due to his bloodline's weakness. This left either Chakra control or Support ninja as my second option. While i realized Chakra control would benefit my character greatly by reducing his weaknesses, I felt that I should give him a weakness rather than Min/maxing, which while fun, generally becomes boring quickly. I took Support ninja to leave him with Chakra issues in a fight of Attrition, but increase the amount of jutsu he could get off almost instantly and would work well as a ranged specialist to offset the Tsuchikage's CQC character.- Determined Ninja types.

You could try what I do, and base your new character on a personality rather than a class. Once you have the character itself down, everything else just seems to fall into place. For me anyways. I go with either personality, or position most of the time, though occasionally I'll base a character around a power. David, was based around the Ichibi. His personality, the strategist. He's blunt and harsh, and thanks to the Ichibi, has an extremely dulled sense of fear and consequence, which tends to gain him a lot of enemies. I imagine by the time he ranks up to sannin, he'll have at least one enemy in every village.
Yasashii however, was based on a position. I needed a spy master, who happens to be a bartender. From there, I came up with the personality of a calm yet energetic guy who's friendly with everyone. Perfect for drawing out information from those around him. Deeper down though, he becomes calculative and cold, embodying his position as the man who has to keep Otogakure hidden and strong, despite the cost. And then he has his ninja personality, which so far seems to be that of a man who is used to giving orders, and having them followed. In that mode, he acts completely different from his bartender mode, and is a completely different person.
For him though, I needed to be subtle. He needed to be strong, yet unnoticeable. So, to do that, I took the crystal bloodline. The skills of that bloodline are powerful, yet subtle in their own way, in that they form weapons from thin air, making it so he doesn't need to carry any with him. His types add to that, one which lets him use multiple techniques in a single post, and one to let him use them without handseals, both adding to the ease with which I can hide his power, even when he's using it. The sealing master profession adds yet another level, allowing him to use seals, further concealing what he can do, and adding further levels of power, even making his job easier given the proper circumstance. He's probably one of my most calculated characters I've ever made, and most powerful to boot. Fun part? Once I figured out the bloodline I wanted, everything else fell into place within minutes.
~
Aaaanyways, I've been making this offer to practically everyone who's making a character, but, Otogakure needs a chuunin. I've seen your RPing in Suna, and figure you'd probably do well with the position if you want it. Of course, you'd have to apply by Cobra, but the option is there. We could use a medic or sensor type (or both), if that helps.

duckmasta bb3000ae *rubs eyes from marathoning Naruto* So was I the only one that thought the Female Animal Path Pain was hot? I agree. In other news, I love my combat style, it's just so inventive. I constantly find new and surprising uses for various techniques. That and my wish since first joining this guild has come true. I finally get to RP, and fight at that, against both Luo and Gregar. Now if only Lance and Hinote would show up, then I think I could celebrate with non-alcoholic wine. Although it tastes terrible, it does grow on you. You want I should activate the squirrels? Because I totally could. Or even Kyoukan for that matter, but he wouldn't be fighting Deidalus. Then again, I haven't decided whether he's still in the village or not. (Some of your silly genin think he's dead from that puny nuke he set off on top of him. Psh.)

Well after blowing up the tree that mint had just planted as a peace offering to the squirrels, I'm sure I'm on their bad side so know. I just want to see your guy's combat styles and see what I can learn from them. Reading another's fight just doesn't quite cut it for the learning part.

I just want to see your guy's combat styles and see what I can learn from them. Reading another's fight just doesn't quite cut it for the learning part. My fighting style? It really varies according to what sort of character I'm using, and the techniques available. In another guild, I have a super fast character who mainly uses claws to fight, to devastating effect. (Claws are my oldest, and best, weapon.) But early on in his development, he didn't have access to his claws, so he just used his speed combined with a friggin' shotgun, and blew people's heads off. David, works from mid to long range, using his sand to take down opponents without ever having to touch them himself. Once he learns more elemental jutsu though, the sand usage is going to diminish as he uses other elements more. I want to strive for variety with his combat style, but it's always going to be mid range. Yasashii is an all around fighter, who even I haven't pinned down exactly how he'll fight. He'll likely alter his strategy according to his opponents. However he fights though, it's gonna be nasty. However it goes, he'll be an all range fighter. Kyoukan I never did pin down, but I see him as likely to be the type to just spam fire everywhere until the entire world is burning, and just try to burn his enemies to death. The squirrels use speed and team tactics to bring down foes that would otherwise be impossible, due to their massive in comparison size. They also have a secret weapon, which if revealed, will have everyone completely confused. I've also had RPCs who push in with brute force and take their enemies down with that, some who use superior skills or knowledge, a lot who use speed, as that's one of my preferred tactics, and I have one in development elsewhere who will be a true necromancer, reviving his dead enemies and making a zombie army to take over the world. In other words, I sort of doubt you'll be able to pin down my fighting style from one encounter, as I do mix it up somewhat according to what sort of character I'm using.

IT's the same for me with the minor exception that I enjoy Combo user Ninja type and using jutsu in inventive ways. Take the fight brewing in Iwa right now, I used a katon technique to cover a lightning clone with an explosive that will go off when the clone is destroyed and furthermore sent him hurtling towards his target using a Doton jutsu. You could also look at the fight I had against nerdbot in Destiny. I used a Doton wall to catch his Shouidan no jutsu, then maneuvered him by it and fired a beam of Lightning at him. It didn't matter what he did, everything went up in one big explosion. I use strategy and tactics to set my opponent in an unfortunate position and then pounce on them like a house cat that has just came across the biggest ball of twine in Minnesota.

@duck: Nah, bringing more character concepts into the fray would just add to the problem at hand. But thanks anyways!
@Hinote: Not trying to sound creepy. But I really like the way you think. Anyways. Usually I go with class, location and bloodline rather than personality and power. But your way seems more... Uh... Okay I can't think of the word, and I know "whole" isn't it. But that is the only one that comes to mind other than "complete". Which isn't it either.
Now what is this about Oto, Cobra and I?

Luo1304 Requiem of Remorse iLadyShira-chan LordTares iLadyShira-chan Requiem of Remorse My god I am glad this week is almost over. Standardized testing and band concerts should never be placed on the same night. Hey Req... I don't suppose you could indulge a girl's curiosity and tell me how the Snuggle squad got their nick names? gonk Dont tell her!!!! jk B-But, she loves me. So she should tell me. <3Gather 'round, gather 'round! Story time is about to begin!
But this is no ordinary story of dwarves and gumdrop princesses!
For you see. Back in the day when the great taco beasts freely roamed the lands, and everyone wore colorful capes of delicious power, there was a spork known as Fantastic Fred. Now Fantastic Fred was no ordinary spork, he was a magic one. With one measly glare of his sporkish eyes, he could set entire empires aflame. But usually he was a kind and peaceful spork, sleeping aways his days in the lost city of sparkle town and only venturing out every century or so to hunt down and kill the greatest taco beast in the land. But one day a greedy adventurer known as David the death dealing dark mage stole Fantastic Fred's most prized mountain lion from his utensil kingdom. Sending Fred into a fit of rage that not even the great Teletubbies could control, thus sensing what would become of the world if they did not act, the Teletubbies sought to protect not only themselves, but the entire city of sparkle town as well. By fusing themselves with the knights of seven different kingdoms the Teletubbies created seven beings of the highest power. It was a grand sight indeed my dear Shira. For as these seven new champions of the Rainbow converged on the lost city of Sparkle town, the vast amount of love power created a trio of rainbows in the sky. That's right, a trio! Far more than you mortal's and your silly double rainbows... But I digress. As these newborn champions finally met at the gates of sparkle town, they each sought to slay Fantastic Fred in their own kingdom's name. Causing the great champions to fight amongst themselves, only adding more chaos and discord to the fray. The ghosts of the Teletubbie lords saw this, and they wept in frustration. Their tears fueling a torrent of magical rainbow energy that shot down from the heavens. Striking a young paperboy and his pet bird directly in the face, something that the great scholars of the world would later describe as the most painful hug a man could ever receive. The young boy, known to his family as lucky Luo the lovely, was transformed under the colorful light. Becoming the eighth champion of the light, while his pet bird known as Tenshi became the ninth. He was to be the princess of balance, a man that was destined to end the fighting amongst the newborn guardians and to act as their queen. Uniting them all under the name of "The Snuggle squad." With the new formed Snuggle squad at his command, Queen Luo, now known to all as Huggie. Slew the furious Fantastic Fred. Saving the lands and causing not only himself, but his entire squad to become legends remembered to this day.
And that is the story of how the Snuggle squad came to be...
ALL HAIL QUEEN LUO. IMMA KILL YOU FOR DISAPPEARING THIS LONG AGAIN. And it's Emperor now, I usurped the position. OH SNAP! talk2hand

Now what is this about Oto, Cobra and I? Hmm... Can't say I know what word you're going for either. Autoranking. Cobra is the Otokage, so if you wanted to try for the chuunin position, you'd need to PM him. @Beard: Well of course. Using jutsu inventively is the basic of basics. If I can't twist the purpose of a jutsu to make it more awesome than the maker could ever have imagined, I don't even feel it to be worth learning most of the time. My true enjoyment comes when people look at my profile, realize I have mostly just a few low ranked jutsu, and assume I'm weak because of it, then get their asses kicked with said low ranking jutsu. I like low ranking jutsu more than high ranking, simply because they're cheaper. Get a good malleable D rank, and you can use it to far greater effect than even an S rank jutsu, cause you can use it more, and usually, easier. C rank is about the highest I like to go for jutsu used often in battle. Higher than that and it usually gets too expensive, and I feel like I'm wasting chakra.
