The song continued to rise within him, a song of his efforts and hopes all in one as he continued to battle against himself from within. This was it... he was so very close now. He had to keep going. No matter how much it felt like body was going to give up and collapse on him he had to press on. This was what he'd been working for, This was what he had to do in order realize his potential, in order to fulfill his will. This performance, this particular piece of music, was of his soul itself, and by enduring it, he felt that he could truly accept himself, that he could truly face himself for the first time. That he could finally open his eyes when this was finished and truly say that he had awakened...that a new era had begun with this opening of his eyes... that he was ready to face his life as a student of ninja... and ready to begin his own path to becoming one... yes. That was his resolution...what would they call it...his Nindo....heh...such a vague and ambiguous concept...and yet he liked the sound of that for some reason...yes... so be it. This was his ninja way...

The song began to remind him... it began to remind him of something he;d heard so long ago. A voice that seemed so very familiar. A voice that still, at the back of his mind, inspired him to greatness and strength. One that, as he was at the end the of the greatest trial he'd ever faced thus far, was calling him onward, cheering him to victory with a thunderous and powerful influence that continued to echo on long after the song itself had ended. He knew this song as it rose from within his memory, the faded memory of it seeming to rise to the surface as he reached for it, the pain of his training seeming to fade ever so slightly as it returned to him....
Returned to him and cheered him forward.
'I can see it all to clear.... the time has come to face my fear....'
The voice that was singing...he knew that voice. But he couldn't put a face to it. It was too distant, too buried, for him to recall, but he was almost certain... but... the song continued.

For there's a fire burning in my heart, to shine when all is torn apart, and I will make it through this devil storm, safe and waaaaaarm." the notes rang through him, reinforcing him still further against doubt and the desire to surrender filling him further with a reserve of strength that he didn't even know that he had. It was a memory long passed, a memory who's origin was lost in the sands of his past...but the song endured. Like he himself was now, the song itself had still endured. "My shield is strong, I'll take my chances here and now, ring on the fight, I'll find a way to win somehow. Let Tomorrow bring no regrets...I risk it all for this brand new day...' the song seemed to call forth, picking up in beat and tempo as it seemed to change, growing higher and higher, more and more bombastic as it ascended in rhythm and volume within his mind, the song that was tearing at his frame from within growing to match it seemingly on instinct. He was being shaken by the song itself now, the very thing he was battling against the thing that was keeping him going... this was it....this was the final stage...this was the moment that he was going to awaken, he just had to keep on pressing forth!!

He fought with himself there, in that instant, his will striving to continue yet the reserve of continuous strength he had depleted. His body needed a break, a rest, a breather. This was madness, having pushed himself long passed any sort of barrier his body had put in place for him. He should have been forced to collapse to his knee's long ago but he refused the, pain not doing any harm to his body but causing a ridiculous amount of sensory pain. It should have been unbearable, it should have forced him into submission long ago...but he was pressing on. He was forcing his way passed any such limits and continuing to progress in spite of everything. yet now he was at the very end of his rope. Now he was paying for it. This was the very edge of how far he was going to be able to push himself without actually opening his bloody eight gates through sheer force of tenacity...but that was fine...because he only needed to go just a little bit further....and by all the powers that be...he WAS.

The wall of his exhaustion was not an easy one to breach, it held him back, continuously trying to push him into taking a break, a breather, a pause, anything. But he pressed on, continued to fight. There was nothing to stop him, nothing to halt his advance. This wasn't a wall he going to avoid...this wasn't a wall he was goping to break through...he would reach his goal if he had push the wall itself across that finishline with him. If this was his limit then he would push that limit till it was able to take him where he needed to be. This was the moment of his awakening, this was the time that he'd been working for, and he was going to do it if it took him an eternity... this was going to be the first real step he took as himself, a true awakening to his life... and it wasn't going to be cheapened by a stumble. An early finish. This was going to be something he could hold up high and be proud of... this...was...

The song sprang back to the forefront of his mind, it's pounding and rapid rhythm breaking through his weakness as he seemed to come that much closer, the song filling him till it was all he knew for a moment, all he could focus upon as he continued to press through the pain. It was his rock in the storm, no, it had become the storm. It was lifting him up as he felt the tides and motions of his conflict rage around him, it's only raging currents only serving to drive him on harder as the words continued to fill his mind, the true chorus kicking in with a power he'd never known. 'I know what it means to burn...that's how I began to learn!! Never give up! Never give in! Rise from the fire if your gonna win! Sing with my soul, fore I get old, cause there may be no tomorrow. There is no limit to what can be done, climbing the mountain with power so strong. Dusty roads, on the way, leaving the past behiiiind you!'

Byakuran's soul seemed filled with power he'd not known the life of, pushing the wall forward with a greater strength then ever before as the limits which had seemed to move before him, taking him forward towards his goal at a new level of progression. The song seemed to make his spirit soar, his resolve, his will, his very self and all that entailed rising up with it as he made war with his weakness. He stamped out all that held him back, crushing that which impeded him. He was there, he was at the final threshold of his victory, the doorway of his awakening just ahead of him. This was the moment, the moment and the eternity. The very essence of himself was gathered now behind him, like an entire ocean collapsing down wrathfully against the restraints holding him back, the song continuing to soar higher and higher within him, taking his spirits with it. This was it...this was the moment...

Everything he was seemed frozen in this moment, this instant. All that he had learned in this trial coursing through him in a moment. His views of the world, his views of himself and his future, his views of his clan. All of these thrived and stirred within him, whirling around him as the storm that was this trial raged upon him, the tempest of metaphoric wrath bearing down upon him like the weight of the world itself. The song itself had seemed to take a turn to reflect it, it's tempo becoming slightly slower as tthe tune jazzed into a stutter, the vboice singing becoming stretched as is stated 'I've seen love in vain...I, have felt the pain...torn by desire, led by the fire... ' the truth of words rang through him as he understood them, truly understood them. He too had faced hardship up to this point, but it was probably nothing to what was to come... nothing compared to the trials he would likely face ahead...
'And as I lived it all, the world became to small, and colors grew colder...colder...colder...colder...' the tune seemed to die out for a moement, lingering in the air as though the song was finished...as though this was the end... then...

'WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAA!!!!' The music kicked back into full as the voice returned louder then before, the radical power of the song even greater then it had ever been! "The spirit takes me high!!!!!! Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh!!!!!!!!!!! Never give up! Never give in! Won't stop believing cause I'm going to win!!! Sing with my soul, I'll never get old!! There will always be a tomorrow!! There is no limit to what can be done, winning all battles with power so strong!!! Dusty roads, down the way, leaving the memories behind me. HEYYYYYYYY!!! HEY! HEYYYYY!!!!! Use the spirit- Whoooooooaaaaaaaaaaaoooooaoaoaoaoaoaoa!!!!!!!!!!" the song roared up as the final barrier of his limits were crushed, the point of his evolution completed with thunderous explosion of triumph and elation. All at once as the song came to an end the vibrations within him silenced, and he collapsed unto all fours, awareness of his surrounding returning as he opened his eyes and his sensory system returned to normal, his muscles feeling something like jelly as he collapsed still further unto the ground, breathing deeply. He was soaked in sweat and he was fairly certain that he was going to need to lay here for a bit before his body was able to bring itself out of shock... but...
But he'd done it. As he looked off at the small clearing, his head turned sidelong as he lay on the soft grass of the grove, he adapted a rather content smile on his face. And so his life truly began. His first step as himself finished...his awakening complete. All he could do now was quietly reflect as his body re-acclimated itself from the harrowing experience, his breathing still fast as he lay completely still.
He'd done it...

Picking up pieces of fallen trees and branches seemed like it would be an easy task, but lately he wasn't having such luck. Just a few minutes ago he managed to drop another pile of wood that he was carrying. He managed to twist his ankle in the process, and now not only did his foot hurt, but his ankle was sore. At this rate, practicing his swordsmanship was out of the question. He would now practice his new jutsu instead, seeing as he wouldn't risk serious injury... or so he hoped. It didn't seem like a dangerous one, but one never really could tell till they did it.
He sighed and stood on his strong leg to pick up the pieces he dropped. He gathered a few before he bent over too far. He tried catching himself with his other leg, but pain went right up his body and he collapsed to the ground anyways. I swear, nature has it out for me, he remained sitting on the ground, collecting himself, and giving his ankle a chance to rest.

Byakuran opened his eyes slowly, letting out a stretching wince as he slowly returned to his feet, his body feeling...unbelievable. He flexed his fingers slightly with an almost fascination expression, examining the new found sensation of solidarity he felt within himself. Yes... it was most certainly amazing. He felt as though his body had become at least twice as strong as before, the amount of punishment it could take having positively sky rocketed. His rather mad efforts had paid off in full then, it would seem. He got his feet, readjusting his collar and sleeves absently before reaching back behind him and withdrawing the scroll that he'd earlier stored there, unfurling it with a careful regard. There upon the parchment before him was the scribblings and knowledge required to master the Minor vibration... and now...now, he was at last ready to learn it. Of course that was merely the first of the jutsu he intended to learn now that he was finally out of the academy. It wasn't even the last jutsu he intended to learn before taking care of the errand for Takahashi. He worked expediently enough, so their shouldn't be a problem. He could handle this well in time to go dispose of some second rate gambling parlor partners. Besides he didn't expect that to require to much time either. He looked back down at the scroll, his eyes flitting across the page as he sorted out the key details in his mind. His first jutsu utilizing his Kekke Genkai, and more so, his first jutsu that was above E-rank...this would be a true test of his ability... The Jutsu didn't really seem to be all that different from basic chakra control, save using his second self to convert the chakra into sound waves, and then thus manipulating them. The translation of chakra to sound was of course facilitated by the Otobe's second self, allowing them to directly covert their chakra into sound waves, just as easily as it converting all incoming vibrations into nervous system information. He was rather skilled at chakra control if he did say so himself, so this shouldn't pose to much of an issue... Closing his eyes and taking a slow breath, he began the process of conversion, the sound waves almost immediately ringing out into the air around him, causing a suddenly ringing hum to enter the air around him. It would be a an odd sight indeed if someone were to come across him, but that was, after all, the whole point of selecting the grove. It was large enough and he was in a remote enough corner of it that he most likely wouldn't be disturbed. The sound waves seemed to sing to the air around him, Byakuran actually not really being all that impressed with himself. It was expected that a member of the clan could do at least this much. What was far more difficult was adjusting the pitch according to one's will, controlling the sound waves. Their direction and flow, their pitch and cord. His own efforts even at this however, seemed rather well off. He'd been correct to have faith his chakra control, this was indeed looking to be a simple enough task once he managed to practice it a few more times. The sound rose and fell at his beckoning, his rather inquisitive side almost taking an innate fascination in prodding it about in all different ways. seeing what he could do, how he could push it and just how far his control over it stretched. He was a little surprised with himself that he'd never done this earlier. He supposed it was because he wasn't entirely sure just what pushing the limits on his blood line's ability would mean... he supposed his liberating training session had freed his mind in more ways then one.

The Muscial inclination jutsu, which was many times the cause of the clan's musical genius's allowed one to actually control their kekke gekai enough to produce and enhance music with it, which, Byakuran didn't mind admitting, was the very next item on his agenda. The very idea of being able to finally free up his ability to create music, the ability to use his senses themselves, the things which allowed him to sense music to such a divine degree, to create music itself. It was, to say the say the least, going to be a rather great pleasure of his. And besides, even if it seemed like it was merely a jutsu designed for levity, and for the most part it was, it was still an excercise in chakra control and how to further master his Kekke Genkai, which could only help him as a ninja. He had no doubts that even if it didn't seem so on the surface, even the smallest of task could help a ninja reach new heights...
Of course, he noted to himself with a slight smirk. It didn't hurt to learn a few offensive ninjutsu to be able deal out some damage either.

While it was true that the minor vibration was the most basic of his families techniques, that didn't mean that it didn't come with it's own risks. The entire reason he'd gone through his recent barrage of endurance training was because while it was true that the current phase of the jutsu wasn't dangerous, a mere exercise of control over their families ability, the second phase, and what gave the jutsu it's punch, was far more arduous. It required one to channel potentially dangerous sound waves through one's body, and losing control, or failling to endure the process, would cause internal damage, as well as a great of superficial pain given the otobe's particular oversensitivity. while it was easy to filet out external stimuli once they mastered their second selves, while channeling the sound waves they would also be exposing themselves the sound waves themselves. Losing them would cause the harm to completely bipass their normal defenses, and the agony that caused was not something Byakuran had felt since he'd been a toddler... still at war with his own senses. He didn't want to experience that again...

All in all he was actually in a very good mood right now, despite the trial that no doubt lay ahead in mastering the second phase of this jutsu. He'd managed to do something he'd thought impossible, bettering himself as a shinobi and, if he did say so himself, as an individual, in many different ways. His understanding of himself and the world around him was that much clearer for his little awakening, and his place in it all the more illuminated. Compared to that his efforts to learn this jutsu wouldn't be all that challenging, thanks in no small part, of course, to the efforts themselves. His body was a fathom stronger now and it would most likely, at the very least, given him an even chance at getting through this alright. He didn't suspect he'd get through unscathed, but that was the chance he took. He didn't expect to get something for nothing after all... and this jutsu would be a key weapon of his considering that it was something he could use without expending too much chakra.
While his skills with a bow could certainly do some damage, especially with his speed to the draw, but he still wasn't confident enough in his skills to think that a ninjutsu wouldn't do him leagues better. And this ninjutsu was just the ticket.
