At first, she flinched and tensed her body even more at Iden's gentle touch upon her body - which was from both the pain it caused her and from the thought of more being done to her. After a few moments of confusion, she finally relaxed somewhat and turned to lean into his arms and chest. Trying to seek reassurance and care from him, she snuggled into his jacket, but didn't take her arms from her bent legs. Whimpering loudly still, she closed her eyes and let herself cry against his chest. Her mind was wondering to what all was said and what had truly happened to her... Had Iden finally snapped or was he was just going back and forth on what he was doing? Or had it not been him at all? She was more confused then she had ever been before...her mind and thoughts working against one another. From the feelings she received in the bond.. he had not done such, but if he was split in mind....

It was a relief that she would still come to him. He had almost feared that Seraphim's games had done greater harm than he could ever hope to undo.
Slowly he peeled his gloves off, and set them aside. They hit the table beside his gun with a clearly audible -thunk-, and lay still. His exposed hands then held her gently as he took solace in the sensation of relief he was feeling. He could only hope it would carry over.
Never...I don't give a damn how thin the chains wear...never. I promise you.
He found himself stroking her hair silently beyond that point, as he would do when they were alone. He would wait here all night, if need be, just offering a supportive shoulder, to allow her to vent the pain and fear he had no doubt she was feeling. He'd make it up to her as best as he could...and come morning, he'd arm himself. He was sick of the games.
((And there's the final post from me XP))

.:So he's the one thats been making us feel at uneasy:. .:It would seem so, another version of him:. .:Seems your brother is an a*****e regardless of dimension:. .:This could go badly, things are already brittle. I have no desire for another sledgehammer in the fray:.
Dagoth looked down from the rafters, his strange hybrid eyes barely visible in the black which wrapped around his body. The cainite crossed his arms watching some of the actions unfold beneath him, he was worried about Iden connection to Bella. But it seemed to have strengthened his brother resolve something that brought a sly smirk to the cainites face. Looking down at Bella and Iden, Dagoth let his own aura seep into the bar before he turned and ported away, checking on his retainer.

The thunk noise from the gloves made her flinch once again and grow tense, which only grew as his bare hands started to touch her. She was fearing the onsaught of what she believed to be another attack, but instead... found him gently stroking her hair. Shaking all over, she listened to his words and bit down on her bottom lip hard enough to draw a bit of blood. She had many promises made before.... always broken, which made her wonder what was the difference now in his promise. From what her hurt mind could gather from their bond though... he was honest and sincere in his words; but that didn't get rid of the thoughts of maybe him snapping fully and being two at once or something. Feeling a trail of blood running down her lip, she slowly let go of her lip with her teeth and licked the wound clean before nuzzling into his chest again. "H-how... can you know," she finally managed out, barely speaking loudly enough for him to hear her as she closed her eyes all the tighter, afraid of him saying he didn't.

He noted that Dag had come...and gone. That gave him an idea. He knew he couldn't take this on his own, after all. And there was much he had left to do before throwing his life away. Perhaps come morning he'd have a chat with him...
The moment he thought that he shook his head. It seemed some things HAD changed...he still held Dag in a place of borderline loathing in his mind. Wierd happenings...
His attention was pulled back to Bella by her words. He sighed, then offered a weak smile, intended to reassure.
How? I've made an oath...and until that purpose has been fulfilled, I cannot let anything get in the way. Believe me...I would willingly die and let my soul be thrown into the hands of whatever demons would take it rather than fall short of that oath.
He gently wiped away the droplets forming at her chin, then gently stroked at her hair once more.
That in itself is my word to you, and to everyone who may ever challenge my will. No one. Not you, not Roan, not Kuni, not even all the gods and devils of all creation will ever change that.

With her eyes shut, she didn't know that he had gave her the small smile to try to make her feel better. Listening to his words, she was still shaking, whimpering and scared of him - the hand moving to her chin made her start to move away until she forced herself to relax as she saw he wouldn't harm her - at least right now he wouldn't. Thinking about his words, she bit down on her lip once again as she wondered if he was speaking of an oath he had made to himself about her. It sounded as if he was saying, he had sworn not to let more harm then needed come to her or to take revenge on that which does harm her. "S-something's not... right," she murmured faintly to him, feeling herself growing weak and distant even more. In a matter of moment, she was out cold in his arms, clinging to her legs so tightly that her nails had left deep scratches into her calves.

He nodded shortly, then lifted her into his arms and carried her to the couch. There, he rested her unconcious form across it, with her head resting in his lap. He'd stay there until she woke...and God help anyone who tried to cause her further trouble before that happened.
Though....now that he was here, and she was unconcious...he lightly withdrew his phone from the pocket in his duster. He flipped the slim device open, and keyed in the number he'd never wanted to dial, but had kept on hand anyways. Dag's cell. He didn't actually call...instead he simply texted him, asking that he drop him a line when he got the chance. It still wounded his pride to ask for aid, but it was better him than Roan. Damn him for the bond he offered...but a moment's weakness...it had been necessary. Hadn't it?
He spent a good while pondering it, waiting for a response.

As the night wore on, he only left her side once. It was for a period of only five minutes. He stood, gently resting her head upon the cushioned couch, and walked to the shelves. He selected a drink, and took it with him outside, presumably to drink it.
He returned and seated himself much as he had originally been, and remained motionless from that point onwards, up until his phone chirped out its soft tone, indicating he was recieving a call. He shifted position to look at the sender, then smirked. Quick as always...he flipped the phone open and engaged in his conversation with Dag.
((Gonna post the actual chat on his end, in the TR))

She had been quite out of it until the point of hearing his phone ringing, she tried to remain as she was, but quickly found herself pretending to be resting while listening to the conversation going on with the boys. Her mind was a bit fogy and confused about what had happened the day before and with only hearing one side of the conversation, she didn't know what was going on completely. Slowly moving her head from his lap, she opened her eyes to peer up at Iden. As she watched him, she started to remember the last bits of the day before - him attacking her and writing his name all over her body.... Jerking upright now, she quickly moved into the other corner of the couch while not taking her eyes off of him. The pain from moving made her wince, but she was able to ignore it and wait to see if she was going to be attacked again or if he would simply ignore her for his phone conversation.

He opened up in conversation, and then when she crawled away, he sighed.
Aw s**t...hang on.
He pulled the phone away from his ear, and found himself meeting Bella's gaze. He looked...almost saddened. He'd hoped she'd not be so traumatized from the night before.
Slowly, making sure not to show any sudden moves, lest he scare her further, he stood, set the phone aside, and peeled off his duster. He set it out, and gestured to it.
You might want something to cover up the scars, until they heal.
He sat on his end of the couch, and sighed. It was hard to offer reassurance, considering the violent intentions he had...though none of them were towards her. All she'd sense from him in regards to her was a great deal of pity and sympathy. It matched the soothing tone he gave to his words, as he tried to calm her fears.
I don't know if you can find yourself to have any real trust in me, all things considered. I don't blame you. So...I want you to go to the mansion. I'll ask Dag to let you in. You can trust Roan, at least. Give her my apologies for sending you there, and...I don't know...I'll try and explain when this is all over. I can only swear to you now that whatever harm you think has been done to you was not by my hand. The keys to the bike are in the coat, and the bike itself is outside.
It was really the best he could do. He was going to wait here, for his own reasons, and he wanted nothing more for Bella than a safe place where she could recover from the previous night's trauma...and he could think of no safer than the mansion. He'd call Roan when he got off the phone with Dag. For now...he stood, and gently slipped the phone back to his undamaged ear to resume his chat with Dag...and with his free hand, he gently, instinctively caressed his other ear, where a fair portion of the flesh had been removed.

Drawing her legs to her chest, she wrapped her arms around them in a protective manner while watching him with scared and large eyes. Looking at the duster for a moment back to him in a questioning manner, she knew what the duster meant to him - even if it wasn't the one that his brother gave him... From his actions and what she could sense from him... was only confusing her more. She knew she hadn't imagned the attack for her body shown the scars that had yet to try and heal yet. They stood out quite vividly against her skin under the lights in the bar. But yet.... she couldn't see how he had been able to do it, or had he finally snapped and was sharing a second personailty as she had thought the night before?
Her eyes searched his in a questioning manner at the suggestion of her going to the mansion. She didn't trust Dag, but Roan she did and she knew how Roan would react to her being there... but hopefully, when she saw her body, she'd understand and let her in. Sitting there still for a few more moments after he returned to his phone call with Dag, she just watched him and thought about his words. If it had been him... the best would be for her to be away from him, or if it had even been another... if she was in the mansion with Roan she would more likely be protected and get some answers hopefully. Slowly uncurling from her position, she grabbed his duster and quickly slipped it onto her tiny body. Wincing faintly as she felt the skin being torn and stretched more from the wounds trying to heal, she kept an eye on him. No matter how much she wanted to trust him.... she felt like she couldn't do such. Standing off the couch, she rolled up her sleeves as best as she could, but the duster still hit the floor and was laying on it a good few inches. Her hands reached into his pockets afterwards as she searched for the keys to the bike while heading out of the doors now.

After she was gone, he finished his conversation, hung up, then punched in another number. He had to get this one in quick, before the mistress got pissed off at the unexpected guest...

The brief conversation ended abruptly, and he smirked as he slipped the phone into his pocket. Now...came the part where he waited. He had reckless actions to perform, and the co-star of the show to come had yet to arrive. So...he sat. From behind the couch the ferret, Liela, crawled over his shoulder to rest in his lap. Where she'd come from didn't much matter.
He sat and waited, gently scratching at the furry creature to pass the time.

Ahh, so you DID decide to play. You have no idea how much that pleases me Iden.
*The voice drifted over the bar, no form attached to it, no sense of Seraphim present for all he MUST be there somewhere. Dark amusement sounded in his tone as he watched Iden, whiel he himself was unseen, his quick mind taking in details, Jimmy's chatter form behind the bar suddenly starting up once more as the imp recounted what he had observed last night after Sera had gone ot his master. EVeryone forgot about the drunken insectoid once he fell silent. It made him the perfect observer.*
I have already claimed half your ear, and your woman is on the road to self destruction... neither of which has taken undue effort. Do you honestly mean to try and shoot me, little brother? How... suicidal of you. I guess you are more like MY Iden that I realised.

I intend to do far more than shoot. Silly angel...you discount the pointless nature of your victories. Or should I enumerate them for you?
He continued to sit there, stroking the ferret calmly with his gloved hand.
All damages wrought are easily undone. In the end all you have given me is an earful of words and spite...all of which pales to my more intimate relations.
Slowly his features split into a gentle smile.
I commend you for the effort.
