((It's about time I moved forward with this.))
Yaits awoke at five in the morning. He checked his phone, no call had come through. Their personal chat would have to be put on hold. By six he had dispensed with all the trivalities such as eating, bathing, and dressing, but still there was no call. Yaits put his hand on a desk and watched it slowly smolder into a heap of ashes without burning anything else in the room, that felt a letter better. He'd have to postpone his call until after he returned to the city that carried the name of his primary allias. He had a visit schedualed with some VIP patients at the Charitable Order Hospital that he could not afford to forego.
There was a knock at the door, "Sir, we have to be at the grounds soon, you have important people to meet and then you have to give your address to the world."
"Yes, I know," Yaits said.
Honestly, he thought, another speech. How tedious.
~Five Hours Later~
The news media was at the grounds designated for the event, as were some officials of some type representing the Latent government, The high Preist of the Charitable Order was also there. Most likely present was a representative from Raven Industries. ((Possibly present were representatives from Aesir and A through E.)) The press corp and a small group of elites were permited as members of the audience. Security would be provided mostly by Latent police forces, but Yaits himself was permited a small cadre of body guards. Yaits himself took the stand first after a brief introduction, he appeared to be almost in tears as he thanked the one who introduced him.
"I don't like long monologues or written speeches, so I'll keep this short and you can be assured these are my own thoughts on the matter at hand facing Latent and all of Gaia. Latent's suffering has been painstaking. Much of the city infrastructure as been destroyed, but that can be rebuilt. What can't be rebuilt, are the lives lost. It is estimated that over three thousand people died as a resulf of this viscious and unprovoked attack on a peaceful city. Yaits Corp itself has lost a number of valuable employees, almost two-hundred in counting, who will be sorely missed.
The first matter of concern is the rebuilding of Latent, we must rebuild this city completely before the coming month is over. To that end the Yaits Corporation is partnering with the other leading businesses of Gaia to show the world that together, we can make a difference. (Possible remarks on Aesir) Raven Industries is doing a remarkable job restructuring the port system so we can bring back the flow of trade and revitalize Latent's robust economy. (Possible remarks on A through E) The Order of Charitable Monks has done impecible work that has stopped the spread of disease and saved many lives. We can thank them that the death toll is not higher than what it is today. Most of all we can thank Latent's municipal forces, who kept the city well defended and routed the undead enemy with supurb tactics and cunning. As well as the Lantian fire department, the brave men and women of whom risked their lives to control the fires that would have otherwise overcome this city. The Lantians have shown all of Gaia their strength and resolve, they are to be more than praised and commended. That's why we should give of ourselves to help them. They took the brunt of attack, that could have come anywhere.
There is a lesson to be learned from this. The lesson is, nobody is safe. Latent was a peaceful town, a stadium town that sought war with no nation, entity, or group. Yet Latent, was attacked. Latent was attacked by an undead menace that wants kill our children, our mothers, brothers, and sisters. And they are willing to attack cities with impunity. Should we let them get away with this atrocity. Should we look the the other way? Hell no. I myself, was enslaved in an undead city, a mere pinion in their food chain, to be worked and made to serve under threat of being food at many moment, but I managed to escape, through the divine providence of Ymir and am not ashamed of admitting that.
In my humble opinion, and I know I will be criticised because I am no politician, just a humble man of business. But we need to take this battle to the rat holes where the necromancers and the undead who would kill our families live. We need to purify Gaia of the wretched evil that takes refuge in the wastelands only to come out when an oppurtunity to destroy what humanity has built. Mark my words, in the name of all that is pure and holy to Ymir, I pledge to do anything in my power to see that those who would seek to destroy us are dealt with. There should be no more Latents for these monsters to attack.
Thank you for your time. Together, we can get through this."
With that he ended the speech, and made his way to his convoy, avoiding the press. It was time to go back to Yaits City.

"I'm ba~ck." Sindova chimed as she strode through the park and headed towards a bench, carrying bags from a recent shopping trip in her hands. The bench of course, was occupied, and it only made sense that she was speaking to the one who occupied it.
Maybe the man was sleeping, maybe he didnt hear her. All that was certain was that he didnt have a single response as he just sat there, eyes closed, unmoving.
Undaunted, she continued moving forward until she was right in front of him. Still no response. She waved a hand around in front of his face to get his attention. Nothing.
She let out a sigh and sat down in his lap, draping an arm around his shoulders as she spoke in a musical tone of voice, "Wake up~."
"I don't sleep." was the response she got from a soft and quiet voice which lacked emotion, followed by eyelids peeling open as liquid orbs of mercury gleamed. No iris, no pupil, just mercury. They had no direction, just peering out at nothing and everything.
"Sure you don't," she replied sarcastically, though she knew he didn't, "I've got an idea; lets go over..." she added with a slight pause, taking her time to look around, finally pointing north-eastward, "there."
"..."
"C'mon, it'll be fun. You're being boring."
"..."
She rolled her eyes and got off of him as she headed in that direction she pointed as he silently followed suit.

Saiyamoru turned grateful eyes towards the town of Latent as her ship entered the harbor. Keeping one hand clamped to the boat's side, she edged her way to the ramp off the festering, stinking hellhole they called a ship. A few sailors made a ward-sign in the air as she passed, and she wrenched her mind off falling over for a split second to send them a vicious glare. For some reason the superstitious idiots thought she had caused the storm half-way along the route. Behind her, the ghosts stared sourly at the town. Their line had lived in Strata for over four centuries, and they didn't like Saiya going into unfamiliar territory, even if she did have them to protect her. Although she would never know it, she--or rather, her entourage of ghosts-- had caused the storm. Unburdened by guilt, Saiya fairly raced down the planks of the ramp in her eagerness to stand on land once more. She turned, once on dry land, examining the Outer City, and then--in a rush--her eye was ensnared by the distant Shrine of Water. Her breath caught in her throat. It was the most beautiful example of architecture she had ever seen--which was not hard, considering that she had lived all her life in the graffiti-scarred slums of Strata. She stood, entranced, but was quickly shaken out of the spell by a short, burly sailor who tapped her on the shoulder and shoved her rucksack into her arms. Saiya scowled, and the man retreated hurriedly. You could never tell with these foreign witches. Shouldering the pack, Saiya turned back to the streets and set off in search of a good inn.

Half an hour later, Saiya stared out the window of a cheap hotel. She hadn't been able to afford one of the pricier rooms, facing the azure ocean. But she had somewhere to sleep, at least. She hadn't expected it to be so expensive here, but perhaps that was her fault. She hadn't prepared enough. With a sigh, Saiya hopped up and swung her legs over the windowsill. It was beautiful in Latent, much prettier than Strata. But the scenery would be the last thing on her mind when she was starving. She brought a slender finger to pursed lips. Perhaps she should look for a job. Although she had always had a hand for gambling, she doubted that she would be able to persuade any of the natives that a skinny Stratan gutter-wrench was gullible enough to give them her money. Burglary wasn't an option--even in Strata, she took at least two or three weeks to stake out a possible house, and the way things cost in this town, she didn't have that much time. Pickpocketing was an option, but she was unfamiliar with Latent's merchant-grounds and in any case, if she was caught, most guards didn't look fondly on penniless foreigners. She slipped off the window again and began pacing the room. And yet...there was always the option of Leviathan Stadium. She had seen some of the infamous battles-- hosted there, broadcast to every public screen in Strata. Fame, money and power awaited the victors. But--she shook her head--Saiya wasn't a victor. She was just another of Strata's countless thieves. How the hell was she supposed to win anything like that? With a sigh, Saiya decided that her money troubles could wait for another day. She grabbed a long patchwork coat from her rucksack, lying forlornly on the bed, and started out into the streets of Latent.

The work had been going smoother than expected.
Latent's port area had been just about decimated and was almost unsalvageable due to the attack. But now, after the better part of three weeks, progress was much more notable than before. Most of the damage assessment and surveying had been finished early on, and a lot of it had been work. Damned hard work at that- they went without sleep for days on end.
Then again, it wasn't because of their boss, Evan White. If he heard about this, he'd berate them for overworking themselves. He wasn't one to see people suffer, but he didn't want his own men giving out on him. Nonetheless... if he were here, he would be impressed. Not surprised; the Heavy Industries division had done excellent work before. But this...
This was damned awesome.
So far, the recovery was at 67% and rising, and it wouldn't be long until the docks would be considered fully operational.
Just as long as nothing stupid happened...

Yaits Latent Rebuilding Project Recovery of the sewer system was speading along, Yaits Corporation taking up the slack for the companies which refused to help directly in the clean-up efforts. When finished the sewers of Latent would be the most modern in efficient Gaia had ever seen, even to the point of eliminating tidal flood surges from the underground. The city walls were finished, and a new Yaits Corp skyscraper was being constructed on the site of the ruined offices. The small sky-scraper would be twenty story high beauty of gleaming glass, possibly one of the first true scrapers to be constructed in Latent. A new water purification system was also being installed, even though the old system was still tenable, just barely so, why not improve now when so much is being rebuilt. Latent would be better than ever. Since Yaits was picking up slack it had hoped would be taken by other entities, it had only completed 51% of the estimated work so far, primarily because sewer reconstruction was difficult work. The Yaits Corporation solution: put in a request for robot labor from Aekea and offer to pay them human wages. Unfortunately, the Aekean government being so stubborn on it's robot policy only meant a direct refusal. So work on the sewers would continue to lag, possibly being finished a month or two past the deadline. Next on the agenda was to win the bid for the rearming of Latent security force and the improvement of their defensive capabilities.

A young child who appeared to be no more then a child steped off a ship quietly accompanied by two Older men. The child was very small but dressed as one who had great importance would. Her hair was a golden yellow, her eyes were a bright green, she appeared to lost with excitement. She felt herself to be the luckiest girl in the world, her eyes sparkled with this happiness. Her hair was tied back with a giant ribbon, it hung in giant loose golden locks. The men at her side were also dressed in great importance. At her left appeared to be a great warrior dressed in a silvery armor and helmit. He wore a white shirt underneat, and matching pants, on his shoulders her wore a cream colored cape, his face was hidden so for now all things were unknown. He carried a halberd over one shoulder and walked with a high air. At her right was a heaily cloacked man who appeared to be a mage. This man was dressed in black, and wore a pointed mages hat. His long silver hair was tied back into a hanging horse tail. His hat shadowed his face covering his eyes. His cloak covered hi lower face, he also seemed to hold an important air. In his right arm he carried a book which he kept hidden. This did not bother the girl at all she seemed to be too excited to care, she ran down the dock with a smile and the men followed. She ran and looked about at the closing fish markets. It appeared to be very late at night and the moon was at it's highest, the stars glowed brightly in the sky above them. The men caught up with the girl and gently lead her to the towns inn.

Union huffed, pulling slowly on the thin brown paper cigar held between his lips. The window was halfway, but he didn't have to turn the volume on the stereo up, he was hardly going fast enough for there to be a good loud gust screaming through the open section. Latent was still rebuilding, but things seemed to be looking good, the nightlife still rowdy enough that he had to break for small groups of drinking buddies running across the street.
He'd make his way to the Inner City, finding a nice looking restaurant; nothing special, just some classy looking Chinese place with maybe a dozen people inside, split into about three different groups. Smiling, he weaved his way around the building, driving behind into the employee parking lot. Little illegal, but he was hardly expecting to get towed when the city crews were busy with reconstruction, and he was alone, no need to hang out after eating.
He stepped out of the car, leaning against the door, taking a few minutes to finish the cigar.

Enter, Reiko. Not to be confused with Reiko Sakagami (( Who is currently dead. )) This plain looking black man with a fitted cap on his head, plain ol' longsleeved shirt that extended to a little past his fanny, plain ol' baggy pants.
He was in a gunshop looking at guns. Just looking.. didn't seem like he'd want to buy anything.
But what makes Reiko so special? Well Reiko, being a fan of combat sports, knew all about fights, fighters, the fighters that were in the HoH tournament, famous and not so famous fighters at Leviathan Stadium.
He could probably be able to spot each one on sight.
But anyway..
He'd walk out of the gunstore with his suitcase and take a good look around.
I wonder what I'll eat when I get home.

Union coughed, letting the cigar fall to the floor and crushing it under foot. He popped open the car door, reaching in and grabbing his duffel bag before winding up his window, closing the door, and locking the car up. Shoving the car keys in the left pocket of his beige slacks, he switched his grab on the bag to his left and started walking. Aside from the pants he had on some black running shoes, a green t-shirt with a yellow star in the center, and a worn, old looking, brown leather jacket.
Rounding the corner, he headed into the restaurant, smiling at a waitress before seating himself. The layout of the seating area was like an L, top end being the entrance, long end leading down past a few tables and a bar set-up, manned by one waitress, a drink machine behind her. The short end had the most tables, the very end of the 'letter' hosting the door to the back where the chefs and whatnot were. Union took a table in the back corner, at the 'bend', facing away from the back wall so he could see both entrances. The duffel bag was set on the chair to his right.
"What can I get you?"
The young blond woman looked down at him, smiling politely.
"Just a rye and Coke thanks."
"M'kay, coming right up."

"Hmm."
Reiko decided to cross the street at the light and head on over to the resturaunt, not knowing that Union was there. He'd calmly walk inside with his briefcase and look around casually.
He decided to seat himself as well, walking around to look for a suitable spot.
Then he spotted Union. He'd walk over in his direction with a cordial smile.. gretting him with
"Hello!"
From mid-way, then putting out his left hand when he was close enough, offering a handshake to the guy.
"My name is Reiko, I'm from 'Punch Magazine'. How are you doing? Mr...... Union?"

"Erm, 'lo." Union propped himself up in the chair, leaning forwards and extending his left hand towards the man, clasping it and shaking awkwardly. It was weird doing a handshake with his left, most people shook with the right, even some left hand people, at least in his experience.
"It's a pleasure, but no, my name's David." Casually, the man released Reiko's hand, leaning back again and getting comfortable, right hand in his jacket pocket, left taking the glass the blond waitress had just set on the table between the two men. He smiled, gesturing politely with two left fingers at the woman before raising the glass to take a sip, setting it down right after.
"Sorry, if you have the wrong person."

"David huh? Maybe I do."
Reiko stood up and turned his mouth upward, showing his disappointment. The guy looked the same. But well.. who knows.
"Well I'm sorry."
He headed for the bathroom then turned around and stopped as he began to open the door.
"You know it's odd. They say you shouldn't trust people who shake hands with the left hand. But I have an honest face! Hahaha."
He entered into the the bathroom and went into one of the stalls.

"It's fine, good luck finding your man." Union laughed a little as the man went into the bathroom, then took another sip of his drink, lounging a little further while sparing a glance at his bag. A few moments later the waitress came back, pen and notepad in hand, expression idle. She glanced down at his left hand, seemed to make note of something and spoke.
"Ready to order?"
Union smiled, tapping his index against the edge of the table twice. "Hmm, yeah." He stared at the menu. "I'll have these thick noodles here, spicy, with the chicken, pork and shrimp."
"Anything else?"
"Nope, that's good thank you."
"Alright." She reached down to grab his menu, which he handed to her before she walked away.
