I was super annoyed that I had to work today because it's Rememberance Day and my parents are military personnel, both my grandfathers fought in the war, aaaand, it happens to be the fifth anniversary of my friends suicide. I happened to spend the entire long weekend, five years ago, at that mall with her. It was really hard for me to be there today, and to be pleasant.
On the up side... I'm going dress shopping on Fri. Which isn't necessarily an upside at all. haha. I haven't worn a dress in so many years.

So, since this guild has no quest thread, I just thought I'd mention here that I'm questing an OMG.

I had to study for 14 hours, so not much I can do. If it makes you feel better, I worked my birthday?

ButterBalls That's really messed up. Did they make you work or was it the job that you really liked? It really should be a day off because a lot of people take it seriously and they should. I don't particularly do anything but I do, do a little in taking a few minutes of silence. I had to study for 14 hours, so not much I can do. If it makes you feel better, I worked my birthday? They made me work... I tried to get out of it. It wasn't the job that I love. I don't normally work on the weekends, so I was like, Oh I already have plans. I tried everything and I still had to work. Today I put my boss on like, a major guilt trip about it. She didn't realize that I'm from a military family and definitely not that it was the anniversary of my friends death... She gave me three days off in a row to make up for it. haha. I already had the two off, but she gave me the third no problem, despite the fact that EVERYONE is working that day. Except me. haha. It doesn't make me feel better that you worked your birthday. That blows! Did you request it off, or did they just make you come in and work? I worked eleven hours today, cause everyone called in sick. It was hell, and it made me really angry that everyone was calling in sick. I had a migraine and I was still at work. It's not like it's a hard job or anything. It doesn't require that much energy. Gah.

Gah. Yeah, and odds are they weren't even sick or they had a slight sniffle. That's good though. If you already had the days off then he should have given you more. Though, that means you might not get that much that pay check. Eleven hours. A little more money for the bank. Actually, my birthday is at the starting of the year and that was the first time I had to switch my schedule around completely and make it a fixed two days a week. Wednesday and Friday. I didn't know anything about how to get the day off or anything and if I took the day off that just meant less money the next week when I get my pay check, so I just didn't take it off. It's not like it would have been spectacular, it never is. So, what actually happened is that we celebrated on Saturday at a Mexican restaurant and had a really good time there. My girlfriend came down with a migraine I think though. That sucked. But, I took care of her. And on the day of because I worked my girlfriend came over and decorated my room and everything and my mom made a cake, chocolate. So, it was nice. I actually never did anything other than that for my birthday. No extravagant party. Nothing. I don't mind though anymore.

Just checking in. Things are busy, but I get this entire week off from work. Will be traveling down to LA for the holiday, which will be nice but incredibly hectic at the airport.
Been thinking quite a bit about the LI of ages past. Is there even such a thing as a "regular" in LI anymore?

3 weeks left of school...
3 page essay, 400 page book, 50 pages of a book, another 3 page essay. And another 3 page essay. And then 3 finals. Then calc.

Soleq: Hope you had a good trip down to warm California.
Butters: Hang in there!!! Just think, soon you'll get almost a month of relaxation! Good luck on all the essays and finals though. You'll do awesome.
I am super busy with my jobs. I wore a dress for the first time in like, twenty years the other week. Shocking. I'm going camping with 41 kids this weekend. It's going to be insane! I'm SO looking forward to it.

It's funny, I ended up wearing shorts and t-shirts most of the time down in LA. But since it was nearing 60F there, people were out wearing jackets. I think I put a sweatshirt on once when it was windy.
I don't really care for LA that much, so it was about as good of a trip as possible. I'll have to show up on Butter's doorstop randomly the next time I'm down there. I'm sure I could find where he lives.

I'm in a really bad ******** mood. For the past two weeks, my family has been harping on me to put up the Christmas decorations, and I haven't because I haven't had time off. This is my first day off in like, three weeks and my last day until after Christmas, and so I told them I'd do it today. Conveniently, they've all ******** off and left me to do it on my own. I'm so ******** pissed with them right now. They want them up so badly and they won't do anything to help. I phoned my mum to tell her I needed more lights for my tree, and she flipped out on me. Says she's out on a date and she's not bothering right now. We had plans to put up the lights and everything else together, and she ******** takes off too. Everything is sitting in the middle of the living room right now, and the tree is half decorated. They can ******** finish it themselves.
