Lacuna widened her eyes in surprise at the sparks that danced upon her and Rei's fingertips. She giggled happily, for what seemed forever before calming herself a bit and biting her lip shyly when meeting Rei's eyes again.
"Bold?", she asked, "I wouldn't say bold.. just.. well.. curious I suppose", she smiled at Rei and felt a warmth that she had so deeply missed since these not-so-recent issues she had.

He looked to Lacuna a moment before nodding, a smile still present over his lips. Curiosity is good to have, sometimes...but in the same fashion, it might get one hurt. Playfully he sent a bit of heat through the energies - not enough to cause pain, but enough to make Lacuna want to draw her hand back.

A look of worry was easily noticed upon Lacuna's face at the heat between their fingers. Despite Lacuna's worry she didn't break the energy between their fingers, as she never gave up without a fight of some sort. In return to the challenege, Lacuna cooled the energies down with her own playful magic with a smile. Lacuna drew herself into Rei's eyes and felt herself swim with happiness.

But, it looks like you well know that, huh? Rei offered after a moment, the sparkles of energy dancing between their fingers as he shifted his hand away just barely, enough to give the lights more room to play. Rei looked into Lacuna's eyes a moment, but glanced back to their hands again as he found himself trying to read her thoughts. I've really gotta stop doing that...he told himself, a sort of mental shake of his head.

Lacuna frowned as she found Rei avoiding eye contact with her and bit her lip. Lacuned cooled the energy between their finger tips down even further so that microscopic pale blue snow flakes floated upon the table top. Lacuna giggled as one touched the tip of her nose and shivered at the temperature difference it seem to make.

Rei shivered slighlty as well, his milky blue eyes shifting to watch the little snowflakes flutter from their fingertips. So...he asked, looking to Lacuna with his head tilted just slightly, a soft smile on his blackened lips. You never did answer my question in regards to other tricks...

"That would depend on what you're referring to when you say "tricks"", she said still quite determined not to be the one who removed their fingers from the opposing first.

the Lolli is In! 'Laus blushed and shook his head, "No, a red dragon mates for life..." Smiling, he shrugged, "Spikey, eh? I guess I wasn't as congenial as I could have been, it takes getting to know me." Grinning at Bianca and his new muffin, he took to eating the baked goods happily. Kalan entered the coffee house, and sighed, his letter from Akkhina folded gently in his shirt pocket. Tie loose and shirt unbuttoned, it was obvious he had gotten dressed without looking at what he was doing. Sitting at a table near the counter he stared at the menu on the wall, but didn't really read it at all. ((alright, i'm kinda eating now, so it might take a little bit to reply.))

Rei smirked some and tilted his head to Lacuna, not moving his hand from hers. Well when you put it that way...he snickered some before shaking his head, offering her a somewhat sincere smile. Actually I was just curious as if to whether or not you were like me...the offspring of a god or goddess or anything...

"Well, I am simply the product of a mage, my mother, and well, my father, who isn't much to talk about. Can't say that I'm the offspring od a God or anything of that sort, though I do have a well.. friend, who is. No, I unfortunately lack the ability to strengthen my magic or skills through natural breeding..", she said.
Lacuna smiled for a moment and looked at their fingertips. "Why don't you just give up already?", she asked sarcastically.

Ah...Sometimes that can be a good thing...You know your limits, and you can have full control of them. He nodded some but thought to drop that, blinking to Lacuna a moment with her suggestion. I don't like to give up...he offered, that statement only half true. He offered Lacuna a smirk though, and bent his fingers just slightly towards her's, the sparkles of light and energy glowing brighter.

"Yes, I suppose knowing your limits could be a good thing, though I'm not happy with them", she said. Lacuna suddenly felt very sick and weak. She quickly removed her fingers from Rei's to hold herself as a comfort to her sudden state. Lacuna shivered and opened her mouth but was unable to make a sound or a word through her parted lips. Within a few moments she decided she had enough and wanted this feeling to leave her. Lacuna got up out of her seat and automatically collapsed, her legs weak and unable to support her.

Candycane Scartissue Misaki stared into Nikolai's eyes for a long moment. Of course, cutie, she chimed with a happy tone as she pushed the drink to right in front of the black-clad vampire. Go ahead and have a taste.raised a brow but decided not to argue the point or push it away. He hadn't tasted much of anything in years and blood was getting boring. And so he lifted the cup gently and placed it to his lips before tipping it slightly for a taste. It almost surprised him that he could taste it at all. "It is very good," he said softly before setting the cup down again.

Rei quickly moved to help Lacuna to her feet, looking to her with a bit of confusion. Are you okay? He asked, the question a little redundant, he knew, but he was rather compelled to ask. Do...you need to go outside a minute?

Lacuna nodded, a look of confusion that matched Rei's upon her face.
"...I'm fine...", she said in a more than obvious lie. "What the hell hapenned...?", she thought aloud looking around her trying to pull herself to her feet once again.
