I saw the referance sheet a while ago. I've also had the chance to flip through the codex at a GW near me. All in all, Chaos has become just plain broken. -.-; It just seems to me like they decided to make everything stupidly powerful with little to no repercussion.

When is this Codex due out? Am I imagining a September 22nd or did I read that somewhere?

You probably read it somewhere, as the GW near me is having a little tournament where players get to use the new rules to make a Chaos list, and the winner will get a copy of the new codex. I'm pretty sure that is happening on the 22nd.

It will be released in the UK on 15/09/07 which is this Saturday. As for everybody else; check the GW website.

Well I got the New Codex today(My local stockist let me have it a couple of days early). Well it is true in my opinion that the CSM have been nerfed but it is not as bad as I first thought(Mainly cause I know there is going to be a Codex Ruinous Powers). I am happy that Fabius Bile is back in the new Dex as I have wanted to field him in a game for quite a while. And there was more Fluff in it than I thought there was going to be which was more than welcomed. And the New Renegade factions colour scemes they have made look cool. I am so totally going to build a Flawless Host army^^

Which is one of the main reasons why I am unhappy about all this. Oh no Games-Workshop couldn't have Chaos Space Marines being way more cooler than Imperialist Space Marines cause they oh so love their normal Space Marines.

Generally speaking GW dumbed their biggest bad guys down to generic evil marines of the shadow realm. The removal of most mark-specific wargear and upgrades is a crying shame. Now you are forced to say that those coughing marines are from Nurgle and the ones with the tits are from Slaanesh. The marines with the bright red armour are from Khorn and those blue-yellow Egyptian ones serve Tzeentch, whom aren't Rubric marines anymore btw in any sense.

And seriously, DO THOSE HORNS NEED TO GET ANY FRAGGING BIGGER?

GW might aswell of done away with Codex CSM all together and just say that any marines with any spikes are Chaos. I mean every damn chaos army is going to be the same now. I agree with what some one said that if Andy was still about this would not of happened. They just seem to be catering for either children or idiots nowadays and not even giving us hobby/gaming veterans a second thought. First they destroyed White Dwarf for me and now they've massacred CSM Dex. I just cringed at what they had to say in the designer notes in Septembers WD.

Sorry that I went on a rant there but I am seriously angry at what they have done to the Chaos Space Marines.

I mean every damn chaos army is going to be the same now.

Two Slaneeshi Daemon Princes with Lash of Submission, six min-ed Noise Marine squads with AP3 Blastmasters, and a buttload of raptors for the combat route.

For shooting, Tons of Plague Marines (Or, to save the T5 for later, Thousand Sons) mixed with Thousand Sons (Who may take all the troop choices, while Nurgle Havoks fill the Heavy).

Why should they? I mean, we ALREADY have some 20,000pts of stuff. Just get us pissed off enough to throw all our stuff away, drag in the idiots / newbies, then 'fix' things for five years to get us to spend all our money again, then repeat the process.

They have a wonderfully working business system.

Yes. Infact, I think his rules haven't changed. At all.

Even a Chaos newb that I am I changed my mind about this being easier for me. Although I never planned on using a specific legion, the generalization of the cults seems a horrible thing to do. I was planning on doing some truly wicked s**t with a specific cult.
