Ishizu shook her head slightly. "Just some random teenager..." She said mildly, running a hand through her hair. "We'll have to keep loking for Khalid..." She trailed off, wondering if they should just wander around the hospital until they found him or what. "Hey... Kira..." Ishizu said slowly, thinking as she spoke. "If Khalid knew that there was another boy in here that looked like him from a distance, and knew that we'd walk around the hospital looking for him, do you think that maybe he went away so easily was because he wanted to go into Bakura's room without any major threat?" Ishizu's eyes widened slightly as she said this, since it had just occured to her. "Ryou wouldn't really know how to use the Millennium Ring against Khalid."

kira thought for a second then swore loudly bolting off twards bakura's room."ryou!!?"" she yelled as she ran in there looking around "s**t s**t s**t s**t s**t..."

Ishizu bit her bottom lip as she followed Kira into the room, glancing around. "Well..." she said, to maybe confort both her and Kira. "Maybe he just went out for a little bit. To get a drink or something..." But she knew that her tone wasn't convincing, and sat down, worried, on the chair next to the bed, where Ryou had been earlier. She ran her fingers nervously through her hair and peered over at Bakura for a second, then screamed shrilly, jumping to her feet. Bakura's eyes were open.
Bakura turned his head slightly at the source of the noise, scowling slightly at the loudness of it. Then he registered who it was, and his scowl deepened slightly, as though in concern. "Ishizu?" He asked, struggling to sit up. "How'd you get here?" He managed to sit up, then glanced around the room. "And why are we in a hospital?" He barely remembered crossing the street and being hit by that car. Then his eyes narrowed fiercly. "Where's my hikari?" He demanded, though his voice wasn't cold or really angry. Just annoyed, which was strange, since he-- Bakura, the tomb robber-- had just waken up in a hospital bed with a bandage on his head. He's be past annoyance and well into fury by now.

"she walked here,you got hit by a car,and I dont know.." she said then headed out of the room started to search the halls for ryou worried.

Bakura blinked slightly, then shook his head. "It's no use. Ryou's not here. Someone cut the link between us, but I know he's not here." He said this with a slight growl, unhappy of this fact.
Ishizu blinked as well. From the stories Kira and Ryou told her, Bakura was much of the same evil person he was when she last saw him. But now it was odd, because he didn't seem as cold as before. "Well, we think-- actually, we're pretty sure-- that Khalid's up to no good. So he might've taken Ryou or something. Any way you could track either of them down?"
Bakura glanced down at himself, and noticed with slight surprise that his Millennium Ring was gone. "Reasonable thing to do..." He mumbled under his breath, knowing that Ryou had taken it. "He's getting some sense..." Speaking up louder to Ishizu, he shook his head. "With the Millennium Ring, yes, I could track Khalid. If Ryou and I weren't seperated from our link, then yes, I could get him. But since neither of those things can happen right now, I'm not really much help..."

Ishizu followed Kira, pausing for a moment to inform a nearby nurse that the coma patient had woken up. Leaving the slightly stunned nurse in the hallway, she joined Kira outside. "I stopped by Khalid's apartment first when I came to Domino. Do you want to go by there and check, or do you think he'd choose somewhere else to go?"

"Okay..." Ishizu paused for a moment to remember what street she was on, for it had been a little bit since she had last been in Domino, then started walking briskly towards Khalid's apartment. Because of her pace they arrived quickly, soon standing in front of the door. "Shall we knock or just bust it down?"

It was sadly empty. Ishizu stepped inside anyway, peering around the place, as though to look for anything at all. There was a piece of paper, neatly folded in half, on the couch, which she gestured towards silently to Kira, before crossing the room and picking it up. Once unfolded, Ishizu read the note quietly out loud.
"Ishizu and Kira-
I know that you're trying to follow me. I've cut off connections from the boy to Bakura, so you can't find him that way. Don't try to find me any longer. Even if you manage to see me, bear in mind that I have three Millennium Items now. So the boy can easily be spared without and consequences.
So, in other words, follow me and I kill Ryou.
-Khalid."

Ishizu chewed thoughtfully on a knuckle. "I'm not sure what we should do, Kira... Khalid's probably serious about killing Ryou. But for all we know, he could just do in anyway." She scanned over the letter again, and shook her head. "He doesn't say anything about if he's planning to let Ryou come back after a while or not..." Ishizu folded the note again and stuck it in her pocket. "I honestly don't trust Ryou with Khalid at all. I say we still try to find a way to him..." Ishizu was talking mostly out of her burning anger she held for Khalid right then. "You don't have to come if you don't want..." She sat down on the couch, deep in thought, musing out loud to herself. "I doubt that Khalid could've really cut Bakura and Ryou apart completly... Probably just set up a strong barrier or something. Though Bakura would say he has no reason to really help us. Well, his Millennium Ring is with Khalid, so that might motivate him. But with three Millennium Items, Khalid could set up a pretty strong barrier."
Ishizu swore softly under her breath at this situation. It wasn't good at all. She knew she could just give up this little idea and just wait for Khalid to return or something, but she was tired of waiting. "Shadi..." She said slowly, remembering how she had talked with him when arriving in Domino. "Shadi had given up his position and given it to Khalid, right? Along with the Millennium Key and Scales? He might know where Khalid would go, or just about how much power he has. If we can figure out those things, it could be easier."

Khalid could strangly feel like his position wasn't right. He barely remembered his father's words so many years before: "You have failed, Abdone. When will you learn your place in life? Stop speaking in riddles and get this through your mind; there is no such thing as fate. We all make our own futures, unless the Holy One decides against it. Obey the Holy One only, no more of this 'fate' nonsense. You are all but a servant; remember your place." Prehaps his father was right? Was there no such thing as fate?
With three Millennium Items, Khalid was sprawled out on a stone floor, in the same temple his family used to go to so long ago. Where he was repeatedly beaten in his childhood. Where he brought Ryou, for lack of anyplace better.
Sometimes great powers were overwhelming. Khalid's thoughts twirled around his mind and fuzzed up his senses, making him start to doubt himself and get into a strange trance. He rolled his head over weakly to look at Ryou, who he had arranged carefully on a stone basin that was at the front of the temple's room, two torches lit on both sides. Ryou was still knocked out, though he had waken up on the trip over here. Khalid only had to hit the boy sharply on the side of his head. Now Khalid wondered if he hit Ryou too hard; there had been no reaction from Ryou since, and the blow had cut his temple. Blood stained Ryou's white hair, making Khalid shiver slightly.
Reaching into the robes he was wearing, Khalid pulled out a wicked-looking dagger and held it cautiously above Ryou's face, only two fingers holding it. One slip and he could take off an ear... or it could plunge into his mouth... or blind one of his pretty little eyes again. Khalid, in his strange trance, smiled at the memory of doing that to the boy before. His hand moved towards the upper part of Ryou's face, the blade now directly about Ryou's right eye. All he had to do now was let go...
