My son is finally teething and I hate it so much. He actually wouldn't eat his breakfast this morning and that's his favorite meal of the day.

In other news. ^ I now have an AFK and a jacked up shirt. Life is good.

Well, If you really feel that you want to be able to/need to drive, I would say request to drive when you go places with you mom, show her that you can be a safe driver, maybe then she would let you drive without her. thats all I can think of.
but most places in the US you can get very good insurance rates if you just GET GOOD GARDES........ so you could try that one

where do you live at? i live in michigan, and they don't even do that anymore. in fact, most public schools around here don't offer free drivers training either. but, if you take it, you can get credit towards graduation.. but, they've changed a lot of laws in michigan about teen drivers.. because the rates of accidents by them were getting really really bad... so, in michigan, teen first time drivers have a very high insurance rate.. and it doesn't get affected by grades. ya know what was messed up tho?

ok, few years back, my brother got ran over when he was on his bike by a lady drunk driving. dragged him under her car for like... quarter of a mile.. it really was a miracle he survived and all.. anyways, turned otu this girl didn't have insurance. so then, my mom's insurance company had to pay for his medical bills and stuff... and cuz of the lawsuit... it ended up that their auto insurance company were made to cover all and any medical expenses he has for life that relate to his injuries... so anyways, after all that. the insurance company hiked their rates up... by a considerable percentage. tried to insist the rate hike was totally unrelated to my brother's situation.. but we think they were totally lying.

The good grades/driver's ed lower rate isn't too much, insurance rates are still astronomical for teenage drivers and rightly so. I know I had two accidents before I was 18, lol.

We want to get a truck but for real practical reasons. I want to get a nice fuel efficent one with towing capabilities, but of course, we have to wait and wing it and see how finances look in a year.

Glitter, yeah teething is such a pain, such a struggle at times, especially when they won't eat. I hope he goes through it quick.

I am down in San Diego, CA. My school does offer the class to get drivers ED completed (except for the behind the wheel part, which you can meet with an instructor outside of school to complete that)
I really dont hear too much about teenage accidents around here, acept about 3 months ago there was a football game at the school my boyfriend goes to and there were a group of teenagers that desided to race on the freeway after the game, almost noone servived. But besides that one incodent I havent really herd of any.
But my father did talk to our insurance company about it and with the better grades (B average or better) I can get farly decent insurance rates. I guess they figure that the ones with better grades might be a bit more responcible compared to the ones getting D's and F's.
I'm sorry they are greatly restricting teen drivers where your at.
They recently changed the laws here also, we now have to have our permit for 6 months b4 getting our license, and then once we have our license we have a 6 month period where we can only drive people 25 years of age and older unless we have a special document saying that this particualr person can be in our car while we drive (I will have to get one so that my boyfriend and baby can be in the car with me)

He seems to be taking it in stride, but this time he wouldn't even eat when I held him in my lap.

I did manage to get him to eat a bottle though. He actually wanted the bottle more than he wanted his cereal.

Thanks, Yuna. It's really starting to grow on me now. I'm so glad I got it.

Hey, did you know Toyota is releasing/has released it's Hybrid Truck.

You should look into it. If ONLY because of the gas mileage.

Yeah here's some information on it:

Quote:
The FTX concept truck provides a hint to the direction in size and styling of future Toyota full-size pickups. The FTX was developed to raise the idea of functionality to a new level by including a surprising array of sensible features aimed at both work and play.

The FTX offers ample proportions and has the interior room of a double cab, yet opens 90 degrees with suicide doors. Stylistically, the FTX features a huge sculptural power-ball that emanates from the rear wheels and visually pushes the truck forward. The generous use of sculpture in the body gives a rich high-quality feel that elevates the FTX beyond a mere work truck.

The style and brawniness of the FTX is complemented with a powerplant that is more than capable of hauling a heavy-duty pickup. Under the hood, the FTX is powered by a large-displacement V8 hybrid gas-electric engine that pumps out loads of torque while delivering V6 fuel efficiency.

My dad has a hummer it looks okay but I don't like it much of my reasons is how much it polutes the earth.

And the Element.. is one of the ugliest cars I've ever seen no offense. I can't really stand it's box shaped. Although I can stand this car:

Wow... I think that's really awesome that the california state offers that. 3nodding Maybe they hope a student with higher grades would also be more responsible on teh road? Well, honestly, I think it was the group of teenagers in my generation and those just after us that killed it for today's teens. my generation in our area were pretty bad with driving. then again, the kids used to pack out the ABC driving school en masse. rolleyes hehehe.. hopefully it won't have to stay this way.

in regards to teething, it didn't always make naaman too cranky.. but his nose and bum would run like crazy... he also seemed proned to ear infections when teething.

hey guys... guess what! I got my new volume of fruits basket manga. blaugh I am sooo happy. Omg.. geez. I never collected comics liek my brother and sister did... mostly just dolls.. but man. it's so awesome. my only sadness is when i finish vol 7... 8 won't be released until april 15th... crying and 9 wont' be until 6-9 ... geez.. two month intervals.. i think they are trying to kill me. but, the good news is that i'm ordering them directly from tokyopop.. so as soon as it's ready, it gets shipped to me. don't have to go bothering with hunting it down in the local bookstores. 3nodding

i do tho need to get some more ragnarok mangas.. but, with feb being such a short month and the crap hours at work... i am gonna have to buckle down if i want to donate to gaia.

Wow that truck says awesome, V8 but fuel efficency of a V6? I'm not gung ho about having the cleanest vehicle, but I want something practical and reasonable. I am not a racer, I don't need to go above highway speeds, so my 4 cyclinder gets me by. whee

And I don't think a certain generation of teenagers caused it to be worse for teens of today, things always seem worse when we're teens, lol. We all know good and bad ones!
