I don't think I would enjoy rap music live. I mean, I listen to jsut about everyone on the shade/aftermath scene, but the one time i heard eminem live, I didn't like it. It's just too chaotic. I love underground hiphop stuff though.

The Crystal Method are badass live.

Most music sounds better live. Unless they're fake bands who rely on their production teams to make them sound good...

I don't agree with that at all. I have heard plenty of awesome bands that are no good, or would be no good live. First up is No Doubt. I don't really like their newer stuff, but back when they were a punk/ska band Gwen did all her own back up vocals. But when they played live, they had guys doing it, to keep the "just a girl" image. Needless to say it sounded like crap.

Look at Nine Inch Nail, and The Streets? NIN was done almost exclusively by Trent Reznor, he had to hire other musicians to make it sound good live because he can't play everything on the stage himself. And Mike Skinner made The Streets first album on his computer!

Crystal Method DOES in fact kick major a** live. And it's just two guys on drum machines and keyboards, so it's still all audio tracks. Does that make them any less talented for putting them together? Not in my opinion. Some band just have a certain complexity to their music that can't be achieved on a stage without hiring extra musicians, or using "fake" music, but I don't think that makes the people creating the music any less talented. I suppose for me it just comes down to the fact that I have major respect in different ways for both the people who compose music and the people who perform it.

O_o I didn't... I was honoring the fact that he created such an epic album in his mothers flat. That cd is a masterpiece, the entire thing is one flowing story. ::grabs the rubber hose, fills it with water and sprays you::
