Ashriel smiled as she heard his words. Her eyes looked at him as he kissed her, slightly startled. It was...nice. After he pulled back, her fingers reached up and touched her lips, her eyes watching as he turned out the lights. A smile remained on her lips as Raevyn curled up into her arms, and she lay back, sighing. "Goodnight, Raevyn." She wished she could summon the courage to say something more, but it was no good. She fell asleep quickly, her breathing quiet.

 The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn slept contentedly until the morning sun peeked through the window. He yawned and peeked open on eye. With a sigh, he slipped out of Ashriel's arms and to the floor. He flickered to human and stretched, leaving Ashriel to sleep as he slipped out of the room. He didn't want to wake her as she was still recovering from being sick. He went to the kitchen, making breakfast for himself.  The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel woke soon after Raevyn had left the room; she had no desire to attempt to stand - her leg hurt too badly for that. Instead, she sat up, yawning loudly. "Raevyn..." She said aloud, an attempted call. Still, it wasn't all that loud. Even with his hearing, it would surprise her if he'd heard it at all.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn, clattering around thee kitchen, didn't hear her call. If it had been silent, he might have, but not with all the noise he was making. He wasn't listening for her either, expecting her to be asleep. So he just continued making breakfast, humming to himself. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel pouted when she received no response. Leaning against her pillow, she threw what had been Raevyn's pillow before at the door. "Raevyn!" She called, a little louder this time. No way was she going to able to get up. Her stomach growled, and she was tempted to lurch forward off the bed so that she could get food, no matter how badly it hurt.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn jerked suddenly, hearing Ashriel. He hurried to the bedroom, entering. "Did I wake you? Sorry. I was trying to be quiet." He apologized with a smile. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel thought for a moment at his words. Had he awakened her? No... "You didn't wake me - I'm just really, really, really, really hungry." She told him, wishing she could stand on her own. Why was she so pathetic? "Sorry for being such a burden." She responded to his apology.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn breathed a sigh of relief. "That's good." He said, referring to the fact that he hadn't woken her. "You're not a burden. Now. Do you want to get dressed before or after food?" He asked, padding to the side of the bed. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at him, barely replying. "After." She answered quietly, thinking about everything but food - an odd thing for her. Her memory went back to last night. Was that...was that the same thing as a human saying the 'l' word? Okay, so she might be a little immature when it came to that, but she wasn't about to just throw those words around.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn chuckled and picked her up easily. "How did I know that?" He asked with a laugh, carrying her to the kitchen. He set her down at the table in her chair before turning back to the food. He checked it quickly then nodded. Everything was ready. He dished it out, setting a plate in front of Ashriel and a plate for himself before digging in. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel smiled as she was carried out, taking small bites of her food once it was in front of her. She was much slower than usual; she was still being distracted by her thoughts. Was she supposed to say something else? She wanted to, yet...she couldn't. She didn't know how.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn ate his meal easily. It wasn't for a couple minutes that he noticed Ashriel's behavior. "Something wrong?" He asked lightly, setting down his fork and looking at her. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Startled out of her thoughts, Ashriel looked at Raevyn in surprise. "Huh? Err... no, nothing's wrong." She answered him, her thoughts still lingering in traces. 'Say it.' They billowed, making her feel nervous. Could she?

Ashriel looked at Raevyn, biting her lip out of nervousness. "It's nothing. Doesn't matter..." She said, her anxiety ringing within her voice. Oh, why was it so hard to say it? Her stomach twisted further, and she took another bite of food in hopes that her stomach would calm.
