T3h John
Someone should clarify this temporary encampment if you don't mind. What I think I've gathered is that it's on a dirt road I believe. Question: A dirt road on an alien structure? Observation: Covenant vehicles don't touch the ground. Suggestion: Maybe more activity should be put here in the way of Choppers or foot mobiles. Aggravated Statement: They need to make a KotOR III!

Well, it's true that most Covenant vehicles don't touch the ground, but that doesn't mean they don't need a road. Roads guide them from one location to another. They need roads so that they can follow them from place to place. They'd get lost if they didn't have roads. You also say that there should be more activity on the roads. I agree that the roads would probably be used often, thus the reason for their existence. I expressed that when I had a Covenant patrol walk down the road.

Whoo~ Got my some sexy clothes for Christmas, and my parents are taking me to buy me an AirSoft gun today.

Fun fun.

I also got some badass clothes for Christmas. Some thermal shirts (I love thermal shirts), a few pairs of sweatpants, a few pairs of sneakers, and so on.

And I already own two Airsoft guns. About once or twice each month my friends and I go into the woods and have Airsoft wars. Very enjoyable. We play a number of different games, including capture the flag, attack and defend, and team deathmatch.

Yup, picked up a sweet deal for a full metal MP5 today, with Rails, grip, and silencer. $150, $100 dollars off the original price.

I love a good Sale. =]

Someone has to play the devils advocate here:

Since when do the Covenant form roads for guidance when they just got on the structure?
PostPosted: Sat Dec 26, 2009 9:22 pm

Why not just say the roads were already there? These structures were built, therefore they've been used before. So it wouldn't be hard to believe that the forerunners could have made the paths themselves when they were on the structure before.

We're talking about a structure that's been derelict for... 100,000 years (approx.) Wouldn't nature have had it's way with it by now?

It's a rhetorical question.

The only paths or roads on the derelict right now would be the channels cut into the stone by landing craft, or the trails of chewed up terrain left by Brute Choppers. I should also clarify that there are Elites on the surface of the artifact as well, though they would not share the same encampment with the Brutes, seeing as how they hate them and all that.

So, no roads.

There was a reason why I played Devil's Advocate.

And really now John? I've never heard of Brink.

Yea it looks pretty much like a mix of MW2, Mirrors Edge and the characters look very Team Fortress'ish. They also stole my idea of a user guided, AI based movement system. As long as the gametypes don't include only "run around and shoot the ******** out of everyone", I think it could go up there with hardcore strategy and skill games like CHROMEHOUNDS or GRAW.
