Takarai Kyo's voice is gorgeous. Especially during his ballads. Even outside of the ballad songs, he's not always screaming and his voice is interesting, unusual, and I like listening to it. domokun

I'm not one of those people who thinks you have to be excepting of EVERY genre of music there is. stressed As for opera, I used to see one every week: you can't compare that kind of singing to the singing in any rock/pop/etc band out there. neutral I don't think he should either, especially considering he's a Japanese rock star o.0.... but compared to people like that, he really can't singCompared to most R&B singers I've heard, Kyo could murder them with the sheer power of his beautiful voice! xd Compared to opera singers... er... why the hell compare them to any popular music? Everyone knows that in terms of skill, their voices make EVERYONE sound weak. Kyo's voice has its own qualities to it that make it enjoyable.

Yeah, my friends (and even my 7-year-old sister) can always recognize if it's a Dir en grey song by Kyo's voice (they don't know very much about J-rock.) But they have trouble telling some of the other singers apart. whee
