Serenity didn't seem to notice Tempest's surprise. "He just scares me. You seem so tough and brave compared to me. There must be nothing your afraid of." She said sadly, almost crying because of Zypher's image in her head. She looked at Tempest with watery eyes.
(I knew it was coming too. I dropped all those hints for Orian.)

((I had a feeling as well but I didn't think it would be that soon. And it was alot bigger of an attack than I thought.))
Tempest couldn't understand why she was so upset. She looked at Serenity carefully.
"Were you down there during the battle?" Tempest asked. If she was then she saw the Zypher that Zypher himself wasn't very proud of. Very rarely does he get like that infront of so many people. But then that was the only way he could kill someone was by leaving all emotions aside for the kill. Otherwise he can't fight to his fullest.

Serenity's own eyes widened. "NO. I was up here, right?" She lied. The bodyguard's lip curled upwards. He nodded to himself contentfully. Ladies didn't get into fighting, or wars. "Weren't you scared down there? I heard alot of people." Serenity asked, trying to change the subject. quickly

"Sure it was scary but I think everyone was a little scared about what might've happened..... Are you sure you weren't downstairs? You seem to have gotten pretty upset talking about Zypher. You've only seen him when he was acting nice and joking around. Why is he so scary to you?" Tempest was starting to remeber the times her and Zypher were around Serenity. The first time they met she remembered how Serenity seemed so excited to meet them all including Zypher. Tempest wouldn't blame the girl for being curious and taking a peek at the battle going on.

Serenity looked around frantically. "That's what scares me. He tells horrible jokes! They don't make me laugh." She replied, her eyes filled with stark terror. She would never admit to being downstairs, at least with 'the Wolf' in the room.
(would you like me to post more? I can do it, but it would just be descriptions.)

Katherine had been getting reports in and out most of the day hand;eing everything without any help on the paper side of things. Finally they seemed to have slowed. She walked to her rooms changeing intp a black gown of silk. She then headed downstairs towards the main hall. The painting was still there and she had gotten at letter back from Serig that evening. ((I thought it was worth it, a good fight its been a while. Believe me though i have plenty more "Suprises" left!))

Tempest would let the topic go not wanting to cause Serenity more discomfort. Instead she laughed a bit.
"You're a funny girl you know that? I think some of his jokes are little mean sometimes also." She said smiling. It seemed that Serenity just wanted some company after what happened recently. After all the armored statue was no help when it came to having someone to talk to.

Serenity smiled, completely forgetting the earlier scary moment. "And your a nice brave girl. I bet you and your brother aren't afraid of anything. He's too scary to be afraid of anything, and your too nice." She said with a girlish giggle. It was funny, how she had been scared of such a simple thing.
(I thought the fight was awesome! i'm going to send everyone through another one later, but it has to go through the process of being set up first.)
Paradox entered the main hall from outside the castle. The burying was done, and the clean up crews were doing their jobs spectacularly. He stood behind Katherine, as silent as the grave. "It seems that the city is full of rumors. It had happened so fast that nobody knows what really happened." He told her.

Zypher came into the main hall area. He was tired from everything that happened finally things have setteled. People who were injured were treated thanks to Tempest for the most part she did alot today healing and meanding wounds. Zypher merley used regular first aid and had them drink some of his herbal mixtures to ease thier pain. He would have to make more later to replenish his now relinquished supplies. He noticed the queen and walked up to the painting as well.
"Tempest actually knows one of those names mentioned by your son yesterday." He said casually.
"Oh, I'm sorry about today. I get like that when things get bad and I know I'm going to have to kill alot of people. Only Allen has seen me get that bad. No one can find him in the castle, but I know where he is. People who were injured are now healing and have been treated. I only regret I couldn't find out sooner about this attack."

"Well Zypher is afraid of losing people he cares dearly for. And even though I'm nice I'm not as good of a fighter as my brother is so battles are scary for me. I'm good with needles and they aren't very strong against swords and armor." Tempest said truthfully.
"But we do our best and because of that we can press on." Her tone seemed brighter as she spoke that last line.

Serenity shook her head enthusiastically. "Why be afraid of losing them. Daddy always said you'll meet them in the sky someday, and swords and armor?" She crawled close to Tempest and put her mouth to the bigger girl's ear. "It makes them slow and clunky, like BB here." She whispered with a motion to her bodyguard.
He grunted a negative to that.
Serenity turned beat red. "I'm also afraid of BB's hearing. He says he could get a fly from halfway across the room."
The bodyguard made a more content sounding grunt. he had heard.

Katherine turned sharply almost jumping out of Paradox's arrival. "I am sorry i have been jumpy lately." Katherine then looked to Zypher and back to Paradox. "Seems my scertary was a bit more than that. I give up when hireing them this is the second clerk I have lost." She said with a sigh and looked back to the painting pointing to the blonde headed one. "This one right?" It was the only one in recorded history.

Tempest giggled a bit hearing Serenity crack a joke on the silent gaurd.
"Well it still hurts to lose people since you may not see them for a long time." Tempest said in her brother's defence. It was even more so for demons since they lived for so long. Her and her brother were still really young. Zypher was full grown and will look the way he does for hundreds of years. Tempest even more so since she was still growing and maturing being only sixteen.

Paradox chuckled to himself. "Maybe you should get somebody to old to try and take over the capital this time, but still in his prime. I beleive that clerks and secretaries get better as they age." Paradox said lightheartedly. Inside, he didn't feel that way. He should have seen this coming, but he hadn't, and not even his own sources had heard whispers of it.
"Well, that isn't a problem. I'm going into the afterworld, to bring daddy back. All I need is a certain book, Death and the After Life. Then he can take back Rhina, and I can be his daddy's girl again." She said dreamily. It hd been her dream eer since she had left that silent tomb, and she was going to love it when she did.

"Yeah the one with the one with the Telsa seal. That is the man who made the secret treaty with our clan way back when. Telsa was the kingdom that was attacked by my clan back then. Tempest has a copy of the scroll detailing the events of that war and how it accured. We'll haveto speak with her to get every detail of it." Zypher didn't want to talk too much on it since he didn't want many other finding out he was a demon. The queen, Allen and his sister knew. He wanted to keep it to those few as much as he was able to.
