Urza nodded making the hand seal once more and focusing on her energy. Paying close attention to the feeling of her body as she filled herself up with chakra. Urza made a note of every little detail. Her breathing pattern, that seal she was using, the number of beads of sweat rolling down her back. Everything. Urza could tell her chakra reserves had increased a bit because as she was filling herself up with energy she noticed it took longer to reach her max point. Urza would have to remember to thank Miyako for showing her this training exercise. It was a lot more efficient than the one she had been using, and it didn't maker her tired. When Urza finally felt like she was going to pop she began to let out chakra build-up until she restored herself to her normal amount.
Urza figured after one more round of chakra build up she could move herself on to another exercise. But what? Maybe she would sit and keep Miyako company and than figure out something from there. Urza was in no rush to go off on her own again, as she found it to be particularly boring, even if she did get a bit more done on her own. Urza took a few deep breaths and than began filling herself up with chakra once more. Slowly she reached her peek and had to purge herself of her excess. She had done it! For a girl who didn't know much about chakra she was starting to really get the hang of it. Urza looked over to Miyako. "I remember you saying earlier they separate people into teams of 3. How do they choose which three stay together?" Urza was hopping they did it by specialization, it would mean she would have better chance of being put on Miyako's team. ❦━━━━━━━━━❧ Lvl. 3 Hp: 27/36 Cp: 27/27 MHp: 30/30 ❧━━━━━━━━━❦ Chakra training Training Expand those chakra lungs! She kept the capacity at its limit and then added a little bit more. The tingling throughout her body causing goosebumps. "Of course, with our sensei, there is no telling what he'll do. Urza sighed, that was good. She didn't feel like she fell to much in the same category as any of her friends, but she supposed it didn't help worrying about it. After all what Miayko said was true. Their teacher was rather unpredictable, and if Urza suspected anything to be true she knew she would simply end up being wrong. Still it was nice to hear that she had a pretty good shot at being paired up with Miyako and either Alucard or Kina. "Guess there in no sense in worrying about it." Urza lay back on the grass and looked up at the sky. It was so peaceful. She wondered if it would still look like that when she graduated. "I wonder if there are any jobs for students like us to do around town." Urza thought about all the things she was going to need to craft her shields and Miayko's puppets, "Materials arn't cheap."❦━━━━━━━━━❧ Lvl. 3 Hp: 27/36 Cp: 27/27 MHp: 30/30 ❧━━━━━━━━━❦ -------------------On Hold---------------------------- Charisma training Give a lesson in speech and language to Alucard DC: 10 + Charisma Mod (-1) Formula: d20 + charisma mod 3/20

Urza listened as Miyako explained how the mission system of a village worked. it all seemed rather complicated to Urza. But if money meant money she would have to seek out a few missions to do. Urza needed to amass the components needed to forge her shields. If she were to become a guardian like she one day hoped to she would need to learn to forge her own equipment. It was a vital step in any knights path. To become a specialist was to give your heart and soul to your people in one for or another, and for Urza to be ready to do that she would need to make sure she was physically ready for the task. Urza headed over to a tree near where the two girls were training and heaved herself up up into the tree and planted herself on a branch. Carefully she stood up on that branch trying to maintain her balance. When all was stable, she bent her legs, and launched herself to another branch, landing cleanly.
Urza felt the branch bend a bit under the weight of her and her armor. Urza was curious about how many branches she would be able to jump to before one decided to snap, or until she fell. The very thought of it made Urza smile. Something about a challenge like this always got the fires in Urza's belly to start cooking. Motivation, it allowed people to do all sorts of things that they could only dream of. Carefully Urza bent her legs, sighting another branch that looked like it would be able to hold her weight. Pushing off the branch Urza jumped, reaching out for the branch she was aiming to land on. Her jump however fell short and Urza fell a bit before catching on to a lower hanging branch. Carefully Urza pulled herself up letting out the breath she hadn't noticed she had been holding. I'll have to be more careful. Urza thought to herself standing up on the branch once more.
Urza looked at the branch above her. The one she had been aiming for before. Even from only a few feet below it looked far away. Urza decided she had but once choice. She would jump using as much force as she could to get as high as she could. Urza bent her knees and than took off, feeling the branch she had been standing on bend a bit from her force as she jumped. She managed to just reach the higher branch and used her momentum and strength to swing herself on top of it. And her feet touched down she put her hand against the trunk. These trees were much more delicate than the great big oaks the grew in her homeland.
Urza saw a branch a bit lower down that would be good. Urza didn't think twice about it as she lept from her current branch to the next. However as she landed on the branch she heard the familiar snap of wood, followed by a swift plummet to the ground. Urza covered her head as she fell through the branches with a crash on the ground. If she hadn't been wearing armor, it most likely would have hurt a lot more than it did. But even with the shell of steel it still knocked the wind out of the poor girl. She lay there for a bit gasping for air and tugging at her collar until she was finally able to get her breathing back under her control. Urza looked up to the tree she fell from with a smile. It had bested her this time, but next time would be different.
Urza lay were she was waiting for her breathing to stabilize. She had taken quite the nasty spill and she didn't want to push herself to hard. After all this was just friendly training. Urza rolled herself over and pushed herself up against the tree. Besides she was in no rush. She had been training so hard lately that even if she took this tree exercise a bit slow it wouldn't put to much of a dent on her regime. Though as Urza though about it she still had a lot to do. She wasn't nearly nimble enough to master fighting with shields, nor was she informed enough to know how to smith them properly. Urza sighed getting to her feet. The more she thought about how much she had to do, the more she realized that she didn't have time to wait.❦━━━━━━━━━❧ Lvl. 4 Hp: 36/52 MHp: 40/40 Cp: 36/36 ❧━━━━━━━━━❦ Dexterity Training Jump from branch to branch! Urza was feeling back to her old self in no time, and felt ready to once more jump from branch to branch to train both her reflexes and nimbleness. Urza had to over come the burden her armor placed on her, and the best way to do that was to just keep working at it until it no longer mattered how much faster she got. She would have to find the limits that the armor placed on her, and then push past them, as if they weren't even there. Urza looked up and placed herself under a branch. The first step in this challenge was to find a low branch that could support her weight, and than pick out other branches in the tree that she could reach. Urza jumped grabbing hold of the branch above her, but she didn't have to hold on long. The branch began to crack under the weight of her armor and once more Urza was sent falling to the ground. Though it was not as bad a fall, and in fact didn't really hurt much more than getting kicked in the butt.
Urza walked around the tree looking for a sturdy low hanging branch. When she finally found one to suit her needs she lept grabbing it and swinging herself up. The first step was done. Urza smiled as she looked down towards the ground. She never thought she would have been able to reach so high. Her hard work was finally paying off in tangible values. Urza looked around for her next target. It was critical that she picked a branch that wasn't to far away or she would never reach it. But she also couldn't pick on that was to close or it wouldn't pose a challenge.
Urza found a branch the suited her needs at last. It was a little higher up that she had hopped it would be, but that made it all the more interesting. Urza prepped her body for the launch as she played through the scenario in her head. She would launch herself to the branch, fall short just a bit, have to grab on and swing herself up, all without slipping and falling. Easy as cake! Urza closed her eyes asking The Maker for help. Counting her breaths she opened her eyes. She couldn't put it off any longer. Taking a deep breath Urza launched herself to the branch, and to her surprise she made it without to much difficulty.
Urza hoisted herself up onto the tree limb and took a seat looking out at the great training fields of Oto. For what they were they looked top notch to Urza. She hadn't explored the dojo much but from what she had seen while she was in there was that it was quite impressive. Urza wondered if they had training dummies for her to practice her shield weapon training. She laughed a bit just thinking about herself trying to tote around massive shields. Urza stood up on the branch, ready to continue on with the exercise. Looking across the tree she spots another branch that should be perfect. So long as she didn't look down, the jump would be easier than the one she just performed.
Urza reached the branch with ease and as she flipped herself up on the branch she thought of a training exercise that she and Miyako could do together. Urza was sure there had to be a library somewhere in Oto, and in that library was sure to be books about puppetry and blacksmithing. It would be a good idea for them to read up on their crafts so that when the time came to actually make their weapons they would be ready. Urza smiled nodding her head, she would have to ask Miayko if she wanted to go do some light reading when they were done with training. And they could bring Alucard along to, there were sure to be book on language, and if not there was sure to be something he was interested in, and reading a book in the native tongue would help him learn it faster. "Perfect! I'll ask them when we are done." ❦━━━━━━━━━❧ Lvl. 4 Hp: 35/52 MHp: 40/40 Cp: 36/36 ❧━━━━━━━━━❦ Dexterity Training Jump from branch to branch! Urza smiled as she looked around the tree for the next branch. For whatever reason this training had put her in a particularly good mood. Urza spotted a god branch limb a few feet out that would be perfect for her next jump. Urza pictured the jump in her head before attempting it, doing this always seemed to lead to a more successful jump. Urza bent her knees and took off. The branch bending a bit under the force exerted from her body as it pushed off the limb. Urza flew through the air like a great metal bird, reaching out her hand to catch hold of the branch. Using her momentum Urza sung herself up and landed gracefully on tree limb. With another successful jump under her belt Urza was feeling quite confident. Urza was glad these trees were here, they provided both a beautiful scenery and doubled as great training equipment.
Urza looked around for another branch. She had made it pretty high up in the tree, and most of these higher branches looked thin and weak. If she so much as put half her weight on them she was sure they would break under the pressure. It looked like the only way was to go back down the tree, but she had to be careful. The force of impact going down was much higher than the force going up. If she wasn't careful about how she distributed that force she would find herself getting the wind knocked out of her on the ground again. She couldn't let that happen, she was so close to being done. As Urza placed her hand on the truck she scoured the lower branches until finding one that looked thick enough to hold her weight even as it was falling. Urza jumped off the limb catching a few smaller ones on the way down to slow her fall. As she hit the limb it bent and shook under the force, but didn't snap.
Urza was now about half way up the tree, she would have to be careful as this was the point she fell last time to. Some of the branches looked deceptively strong, but would easily snap under just the right force. Urza looked around her. There didn't seem to be much but small branches that didn't look like they could hold her weight. Maybe if she was careful however she could spread it out in a way that the limb would just bend a lot. Urza took off, looking to reach for the biggest of the branches around her. As Urza stretched out her hand to catch the branch, she instantly realized it was not going to hold her weight. The best she could do was slow herself down to try and fall and catch the thicker lower branches before she hit the ground. Urza grabbed on to the branch and almost instantly it snapped and she began to fall. Trying not to panic Urza reached out for a thicker branch, catching one just before she hit the ground. The downward force pulled on her arm as she flipped herself under than on top on the branch. It was a pain, but it didn't hurt nearly as much as hitting the ground from the height would have.
Urza made her way down a couple more branches carefully. One more good jump and she could call her monkeying around quits. Urza found a good branch to end on. It was a bit out of her reach but if she swung off a higher branch onto it it would be doable. It was a good test of her dexterity, as she would have to be quick and light in order to make it work. Urza though over in her head how the steps would work, than closing her eyes she asked for The Makers grace. Without pause Urza jumped, using a higher branch to pick up momentum and land safely at her destination. Urza than dropped strait down from that branch to the ground rolling to avoid injury. Urza popped up and took a few steps back looking at the tree, all in all she had done a pretty fantastic job of scaling it. And now she knew some useful tips for tree climbing, always a plus.❦━━━━━━━━━❧ Lvl. 4 Hp: 35/52 MHp: 40/40 Cp: 36/36 ❧━━━━━━━━━❦ Dexterity Training Jump from branch to branch! Urza having finished jumping around in the tree decided it was time to work on her stamina. She had had enough running exercise to last her until graduation though so she had to think of something new. Urza looked around her to try and find an interesting way to train. Suddenly a genius idea hit her. She would use the weight of her armor and gravity to test and improve her durability. If she hung on the branches of a tree until she fell it was a sure fire way for her to build stamina. Urza looked up at the tree, her old friend, and with a mighty leap caught hold of the lower branch, letting herself dangle instead of pulling herself all the way up. Though she could tell from the start this was going to be a more difficult task than what she had imagined, as her hand quickly slipped off the bark sending her to the ground.
Urza got back to her feet undeterred by the bad start. If she could hold it for 10 minutes she would count this exercise complete and move on to some strength training. Urza jumped grabbing on to the tree once more, securing her hand by alternating their direction around the branch. Urza hung there for a minute and let her mind wonder. Urza thought about her time in the academy up to this point. All they had really done was run around the building and learned a few hand mumbojumbo's. It really wasn't what Urza had been expecting. Urza thought back to school at the Chantry. Every day would be readings and memory lessons, which Urza was terrible with, followed by physical activity, which Urza excelled at, and than some sort of combat training, which Urza did better than most because of her stamina. Maybe he was taking it easy on them because it was just day one? Perhaps Yuzuki was a softy just like Miyako said he was.
Urza sighed as she decided it really didn't matter what she thought would happen, because nothing she thought of would prepare her for what would actually happen. Perhaps they would learn more ninja magic, like the image technique the three had worked on earlier. Or perhaps they would spar one another. Urza hopped she was ready for that, she didn't really know how strong any of the other kids were, nor if they specialized in any sort of combat like Urza. Perhaps she would be the shinning star of combat however, Urza knew that there was no way to know, all she could do was keep training and hope she was keeping up. Urza felt her fingers slip against the bark, once more forcing Urza to return to the ground.
Urza looked at her gauntlets, they were covered in maple colored tree sap. She had been spending so much time climbing, jumping in, and beating up trees that a almost second layer of the stuff had begun to build up. She would have to give her armor a thorough scrubbing when she got home and had a chance to take it off. Or perhaps she could use some of the water from her canteen to give them a good scrub. Urza didn't want to worry about it too much because until she was done training she would most likely be in and around these trees, it made no sense for her to scrub it off just to have them bet coated again. Urza shook out her arms jumping into the tree once more. She just had to hold on for 9 more minutes and she would be done.
Urza didn't get past another minute however before she was forced to let go again. The weight of her armor was to much for her arms to bare still, and it was a sign that she still needed to work on her strength. She had held on as long as she could stand the burning building up in her arms from the strain of carrying that weight however and it was a step toward building up her stamina. Urza rotated her arms stretching as she thought about all the work that still had to be done. She had so much to learn, and her people skills could really have used a bit of work. Urza sighed looking up at the tree. It seemed no matter how much progress she made, she always felt like she was lagging behind.

Of course... that had to be the answer. Sun light and the food in the ground was the source of the tree's natural food sources, but was that everything that he needed to know about the trees? Nope, it sure wasn't. Shaking his hands for a moment more to numb the pain, Makoto reached out to the trees bark before grabbing a piece of it. Finally grabbing a good piece for him to study and understand more, the young shinobi started to examine the bark of the tree and studied it for hardness and to get a basic understanding of how tough the wood was. It was all interesting... wood was a natural material and a resource to be used. it would take time to grow an entire forest of trees like this one, but it was perfectly safe to say that a tree like this could produce a lot of perfect stuff for the village. But at that very moment, he finally understood the beginning of the villages... Each had it's own beginning with the same element. It started with this material, Wood... the first material. Regardless of this however, he was still ready to learn more about the tree before he started his physical training again. Knocking in it again, he also started examining the history from the village. because at first they started with wood, now they had metal that was stronger and better then wood. This was also a natural material, that could be reused over and over again. That was the disadvantage that the wood had over metal, metal could be used over and over again... unlike wood. This just made him more interested into the wood and the natural elements that they all could use around them, even the chakra was alive around them... chakra... thinking about it now, chakra, is also the natural energy source that is reusable if the body rests long enough to restore it. So in a way of the natural universe, the world was full of unused building blocks... As a future Swordsman of the Rice, Makoto could only help but to smile in glee. Urza Let out a deep breath and she jumped back into the tree. Skillfully she caught on to a limb and hung there like a rag doll. To others it may look like what she was doing was pointless, but for her it was a vital part of training. Having the endurance to tote around heavy weapons and armor was what her clan was known for. She had to make sure when the time came that she was strong enough, fast enough, and had enough stamina to use those weapons effectively in combat. Urza knew at some point there would come a limit to her speed and at that point she would have to learn as much as she could about battle tactics in order to remain as much of a threat as people of the same level. As another minute passed Urza felt she was going strong, she wasn't slipping, and she had no desire to let go.
Urza felt the familiar burn in her arms that she got whenever her arms were put under a lot of stress to test their strength. Urza closed her eyes focusing on her breathing. In.... Out... Using her core muscles to hold herself up instead on just her arms she felt the stress ease a bit. There was no doubt in her mind that she would have to let go soon so she would just have to make sure she held on until her body quit for her. Urza had always been suborn like this in training. Even when she knew sooner or later she would have to drop anyway, she would hold out. Urza always thought that it was because she pushed herself that extra bit that she was doing more work, and getting better than those that gave up slightly sooner. It was a dumb idea, as 10 seconds of holding onto a tree was not going to make that much a difference between her or anyone doing the same exercise. But something in Urza was a fighter like that. Always going until the last punch. Urza counted down minute four of ten.
The burn quickly became to much for Urza to bare and she dropped down from the tree landing with a heavy clunk. Urza stretch out her arms to try and work away the stiffness that took over her muscles and joints when she kept them locked in a position like that. Urza was proud with the progress she was making. She looked back to earlier that day when just a few laps around the track put her over the edge, and here she was jumping through trees and hanging for extended periods of time, and yet her body was holding up fantastically. Though she knew she needed to start working her mind and soul as well as her body, or she would wind up heavily unbalanced in the three areas, if she wasn't already. Urza was just better at physical tasks so they had always seemed more fun for her. She knew that was an unbalanced and bad way to train, but it had always been the truth.
Urza's arms were feeling up to snuff again as she got ready to jump back into the tree. Overall she would say her training was going quite well. She hadn't be seriously injured or passed out in quite a while. Indeed everything was going much smoother than Urza had though it would at the beginning of her training regime. If she could keep up the pace she was going she was sure she would soon be strong enough to be a valuable asset to her team. She had to make sure she was strong enough to shield everyone in danger, and strong enough to push back against the tides of darkness so that they did not overwhelm her. It was going to be a tricky task and a long road, but Urza was feeling a fire in her belly. Her motivation burning as it never had before.
Urza had to drop from the tree once more and her core muscles began to feel the wear and tear of hanging in a tree for to long. She would have to give them a good moments rest before she could spring back into training. Urza didn't mind the wait, but the fact it consumed time always bugged her a bit. If she could live through the wait, but without it taking any time, than life for Urza would be perfect when it came to training. Alas that was not how the world worked, so Urza just had to sit there and wait for her body to do its thing. She would be back in the action in no time. And with more determination than she had before. Failure is funny like that. It either drives you away in fear, or challenges you to rise to the occasion. ❦━━━━━━━━━❧ Lvl. 4 Hp: 30/52 MHp: 40/40 Cp: 36/36 ❧━━━━━━━━━❦ Constitution Training Hang in there! Urza began feeling much better and decided it was time again to return to her training. Urza needed 5 more minutes of hang time to be able to call this exercise successful. She wasn't sure what she would do when she was done yet, but figured she would have plenty of time hanging in the tree to think about it. Urza launched herself into the branches catching hold of a strong limb. Even though it was one of the lower branches, and therefor much stronger, it still bent and bowed under the girl and her weight. These trees were still so young. Urza remembered the great pines that made up the foliage of her land. Trees made of prickly needles that kept all year long. She had been to a land much like this one, farther south of the Chantry. It had trees with beautiful leafs in the warmer parts of the year, and trees that looked sick and dead during the colder parts. Urza disliked those trees. There was always something so creepy about them.
Urza held on strong as her mind wondered to and fro about the lands she had traveled. For a child of only 10 she had been to quite a few places. South of the Chantry lay a large township. rich in exotic fruits and spices. To the North lay the great frozen oceans and the people of the cold that live there. Urza had never traveled East or West, until recently. To the east lay her new home. This village of ninja, Otogakure. Urza felt her muscles twitch as they held up her body. She could feel every fiber of her being screaming for her to succeed. She would not let herself down by dropping so easily. Urza looked at her hands as they grasped the branch, the bark almost peeling away as it did when she attacked the earlier trees. The flesh of the tree underneath the bark was so light. almost like peeling back armor to reveal skin.
Urza felt her body starting to cramp, but held firm her resolve to not let go. She looked at her arms and her hands, trying to figure out a good way to get them to move so they didn't lock up, or worse, dislocate. Urza decided the best way to do this was to switch the position of her hands every so often, and whenever she felt the strain to be to much on a joint, to flex and pull herself up a bit so that her arms bent and got a bit of a chance to stretch. This technique worked for about another minute until it became to much for Urza to bear, and she let go falling to the ground. As she landed she carefully picked herself up chalking up another minute hung. Two more minutes and she would be done.
Urza sat at the base of the tree catching her breath and stretching her arms. The young girls eyes were closed as she took in the world around her through her other senses. The smell of sap, sweet and sticky on her gauntlets. The smell of grass freshly crushed under foot. The feel of the cool breeze as it rolled through the training grounds keeping the students refreshed. Urza could even hear the sound of her water sloshing around in the partially empty container. Urza forgot how peaceful the world was when you were resting without a care in the world. When she wasn't training or sleeping Urza was usually active, so it was nice to have this moment to just take in the world, and be at peace for a bit.
The time for peace came and went however, and Urza had to finish her training. Urza rose to her feet and looked up into the tree. So far the tree had been her greatest piece of equipment. It let her do all sort of things that she would have otherwise had to settle for the basics. She didn't have to run, or do push-ups, or do crunches. Instead in a way, she got to be a normal kid and play in a tree. Though Urza knew it was much more serious than that, and that she had to treat each exercise a goal of personal improvement. But at least it got her away from the trite old package deal. Urza jumped into the tree once more hanging onto the limb like a monkey. If she could just hold out for one more minute, she could say with confidence that she had done something to better herself.❦━━━━━━━━━❧ Lvl. 4 Hp: 29/52 MHp: 40/40 Cp: 36/36 ❧━━━━━━━━━❦ Constitution Training Hang in there! Makoto Lung LV. 1 Experience: (25/100) Hp: 10/10 Cp: 8 MHp: 10 Resting posts must be 4 lines long +1 hp/cp/mhpAfter all that time of thinking about trees and natural resources, finally he felt as if his body was ready for another run around. This time however he was going to stretch his legs out as fast as he possibly could in the next hour or less of running, this was the beginning of his dex training that he needed to pick up on. Jumping up and down, Makoto made a dash for the first tree that was at the other side of the clearing. breathing heavily by the moment, he continued to push himself as hard as he could in order to make the fastest time that he possibly could for himself to beat. pushing himself and his limits that he thought he could surpass easily, finally makoto had finally made it to the first part of his ten tree runs. This training was suppose to teach him how to use dexerity to go faster and to protect himself, it was safer to say that he may have set himself a good goal to beat... even now. Having his breathing cycle to calm down to the pace where it was safe to go running again, he just placed a massive grin on his face as he dashed off to the tree where he first set off. Pushing himself to the limits that his body could do, he could feel the burning feeling was flowing threw his legs as he started hurting in his legs as well. This was no time to focus on the pain that he had to endure, he had to push himself harder... faster.. he needed to be faster and stronger then before. almost tripping in the process, makoto was smart as he straightened himself up before running back to the tree that he had came from. Closing in on the tree itself, He made a daring jump towards the tree and used a barrel roll as he placed both of his hands on the tree. Sighing to himself in relief and tiredness, he started to straighten himself up before realizing something interesting... he was tired yes, but barely. Urza held one for her life as she counted down the last seconds to success. When at last she hit 60 seconds she let go of the branch, falling to the ground. Urza lay on her back with a big smile on her face. She had done it! Once more she had tried her hardest, and for it had been rewarded with personal achievements. While other ninjas sat around and did nothing Urza the knight was attempting to make a name for herself. She was becoming stronger so that she could be the guardian of Otogakure. The shield of her people. Urza sat on her knees and folded her hands across her chest. Quietly she gave thanks to The Maker for giving her the strength to get through what she had, and asking for His blessing to help her through what was yet to come.❦━━━━━━━━━❧ Lvl. 4 Hp: 29/52 MHp: 40/40 Cp: 36/36 ❧━━━━━━━━━❦ Constitution Training Hang in there!
