He slipped and fell inbetween the two attacks and was hit by both.

"Charmander useflame wheel strait twoard Bubble while it is still attacking!" Seth said Charmander went rolling through the fire making him blaze even more. ((I'll try doing a Gym battle once my Torchic or Starly evolves. Oh, and just to make sure: You don't gain any exp. for every time your Pokemon makes a hit in battle, right? You're going to need to KO the Pokemon to get any exp. points?))

((Here is how we do experience ok? For typical battles, I will give you five experience out of ten, but if you battle a pokemon with a higher level, then you get +1 experience for every level higher the opposing pokemon is. Catching the pokemon wil reduce the expreience from five and up to three. You only get experience from battles, not from using flamethrower on a rock. Thats the way it is.

Zachary grinned; happy to see several branches fall off the tree. “Awesome job! Now I want you to roast off the rest of those branches by using ember,” he stated, loosening his grip on the bag every so slightly. A minute later, and Zachary quickly glanced down at the bag in his arms, just making sure that the PokeEgg was doing all right.
Flames nodded before hopping off of one of the branches. He quickly inhaled some air before opening his mouth. It released several flames aiming for the remaining branches on the tree.
Nova glanced at Flames curiously, wondering how he was able to release so much fire from its mouth. She tilted her head slightly, before taking another quick glance at the Houndoom. She gave a confused chirp as the fiery hound continued to watch them train. Flames the Torchic

Charmander and Piplup was hit by each others attacks and Charmander fell back but the damage was not too bad. "Charmander! Please try to get up and jump back into the ring." A burmy dropped out of the tree where Zachary was training, it's leafy cloak had caught on fire. It was gathering leaves for a new one, scrambling wildly. Burmy  Lv. 4 Type: Bug Attacks: Tackle, 3 hp Safeguard, Unable to be afflicted by status problems

Zachary’s eyes widened as he noticed the Burmy. He quickly turned to Flames, clutching the bag closer to his chest. “Quick! Flames use peck on that Burmy!” he exclaimed frantically as he noticed the Pokemon speedily pick its leaves up.
Flames nodded and quickly rushed over to the Burmy. It sharpened its beak a bit before quickly dipping its head towards the Burmy’s direction.
Nova chirped loudly, rooting for Flames to take the Burmy head on. She quickly glanced back at the Houndoom a minute later, not forgetting her guarding duties. Flames the Torchic
