He's like his mother. Daemon finally answered watching the introductions through Gion's eyes. He was kind of amused the look that Donovan was giving... Gion? No.. he was looking pass Gion, at him? Quite possible.

You should speak with him, Gion thought to Daemon, his brown eyes resting on Donovan's face knowingly. His fingers moved to the hilt of the sword and tapped it gently, debating whether he should unsheath it and hand it to the man or not.
What do you think, Daemon?

Nadya smiled warmly at Triton and motioned toward the house with her hand.
"Come," she said to all of them. "You must be tired after such a trek through the desert. You should come in and have a drink, and cool yourselves. I'm sure that by that time, the last member of your party should have arrived - though to be honest, I'm not sure why she's so far behind all of you."
She said this last part in a puzzled tone, as if asking why they would have gone so quickly ahead of the child that had come with them.

Elrohir was startled. "Other?" he asked. "What ... she? Who? We just came with the four of us, there is no other ..."
He looked sidewise at Yue, Triton and Donovan, wondering if they weren't telling him something.

If Nadya was confused, Triton was more so confused, and shook his head at Elrohir, "I only brought Donovan and Yue with me, they were the only ones I could think of that could come."
Indeed unless they had brought along Donovan's father, but.... Triton blinked utterly confused.

"She?" Yue asked deadpanned thinking of the females of the family that could and would do something like this.
Feng was certainly at the top of his list, but he couldn't imagine her making it this far, mermaids and deserts just did not mix as far as he was concern.
Her once speckless black shoes were covered in desert dust and she took them off on her way there because there was sand in it. She thought it was quite bothersome, but she knew she was almost there.

Donovan rubbed the bridge of his nose thinking that something wasn't right, who could have followed them this far? It couldn't have been one of the children and it better have not been Lin.
"I think we're in for a headache."

That would be a fine idea, though...
Daemon mused watching the scene before him.
Perhaps a bit later, it sounds like something unexpected happened.

Yeah, maybe so, Gion agreed silently. They do seem to like stowaways, though, don't they?
He glanced up at Nadya, wondering what she was seeing. The thought cross his mind briefly that perhaps he she was wrong - but she was never wrong. Which meant that someone, whoever it was who had followed them, was unexpected.

Nadya's eyes lost their focus as she reverted to her inner sight, and her fingers tightened slightly on Gion's shoulder as she gazed into the distance of her mind.
"A little girl," she murmured. "She appears to have weathered the desert better than all of you, though ..."
Which in itself was interesting.

"Well that cuts out the psycho mermaid," Donovan muttered trying to cut down the list, someone who would fair well in the desert, probably not Lin. Well he didn't know about Lin at times, but he was sure it wasn't her...
It couldnt' be Cindy, Cindy was just normal, minus the fact she was part bird. Not Trisha... not Azalea besides she was a sane one... not Lumina because then they would have Krys. He paused, which left.... Kali? No... bookworm she was... adventurer she was not. Besides she was more libable to raid the castle library... not Miyu because she would skitter so fast towards the nearest person it wasn't.. .well it was kind of funny. Which left...
"s**t," Donovan muttered, "Mia."

"Oh... mother isn't going to be happy if she finds out," Yue murmured.
He raised a brow, though Kara would be more upset at the idea that Mia purposely went along, especially since she was well... it was Mia.
"Don't worry Alice," Mia murmured petting her stuffed toy cat, "We're almost there, see? I see them right there...."

Triton blinked trying to understand what Donovan had just said, he couldn't believe it.. and yet he could at the same time.. and yet.
"You do realize somehow Mia followed us from the inside of the castle to here without anyone knowing right?" Triton finally spoke up wrly.

Mia?
Gion's hands came up briefly, and he signed, Who are you talking about? Who do you mean?
Since there was no sign for the name they were using.
His question signed, he moved one hand up to his shoulder and put it over Nadya's. He tightened his grip slightly, tucking her hand within his own.

Nadya's eyes focused once more, and she gazed at Donovan, her eyes dancing with amusement. "You had no idea she was out there with you?" she asked softly. "Perhaps you should be glad then that it was no one more dangerous."
And yes she meant to put the word "more" in there - she could sense that this child, despite being only a child, was indeed far more dangerous than she appeared.
