Makie looked at her doll as she playfully made it dance around on the bed. "It's okay I'm not upset..." She said. Which was actually a lie, because she was upset. She didn't mean to annoy Aida with her good vs. evil thing. She sighed to herself and then got up.
She drowsily walked to the door. "Why did you come for me?" Makie asked. "Weren't you getting annoyed with me?" She wiped her eyes then stared at the door. She wouldn't unlock until this whole misuderstanding was fixed.

Sighed as she turned around to lean against the wall beside the door, "Maybe I got a tiny bit annoyed yes, but that is because I get easily annoyed and angry, but I did not get angry at you!" She said calmly even though she did find it rather stupid and this girl was a bit to... She couldn't put a word on it. She shrugged to herself before she turned her attention to the door again.
"If I did upset you I am really sorry, I didn't mean to be rude or anything" she shrugged again and waited for an answer.

Makie unlocked the door and headed back to the bed. She flopped down on her side and began to play with the doll again. SHe tried to avoid further conversation because anything they said toeach other right now would upset the other. "You didn't even answer my question..." She said to herself.
"It's open!" She called out, waiting for Aida to come in. She was scared about what Aida might do or say, but Makie could only sit and wait.

Smiled weakly as she walked into the room and turned around to close the door. "Wow" she said as she noticed how nice the room looked, it wasn't her style, but it was damn pretty. "Cool" she said cheerfully as she looked around she then finally walked towards Makie.
"You do not talk to very many people do you?" she asked quietly as she sat down on the floor in front of the bed staring at Makie. "You should know people have different look on different things and you should not be so very sad if you annoy someone a little. You are who you are, be proud of that" she did a small shrug as she turned her head to look around again.
"Very nice place you got here" she said as a finger reached up to play with a lock of her rather short hair.

"No I don't. Because I keep changing schools because people abuse me or think I'm a freak." She said. "I've been called stupid, and I've been taken advantage of. But I try my best to fit in, or to help. I give people money to buy food, but they take my lunch as well. They make fun of me because I have to work at the temple." She punched the bed. She didn't like to use violence and she never did unless she was extremely angry.
But she wasn't angry at Aida. She was angry at everyone who she ever talked to before Ria. She smiled weakly. "And I never did anything. I just kept changing schools and hid behind my grandpar-grandpa." She paused. "But they just kept laughing..." She ignored the comment made on her room. It wasn't exactly called for from the mood. She shifted onto her back. As she know looked at the ceiling.
"So I'm sorry if annoyed you, but you still haven't answered my question." She said, sitting up to make eye contact with Aida. "Why'd you come back to talk with me or to get me?" Tears were in her eyes. She was serious, because she didn't want to lose a friend but she was confused at the moment.

Laughed in silence as she listened to Makie, "you never fought back?" She asked slightly confused before listening to the rest of the story and then the last question. Her eye color flickered a little and turned a bit red, they used to be black and calm, now they had turned a bit red.
"I came back because you looked upset and I can't stand it when people look upset. Off course if I don't know the person sure I don't mind that they are upset, but when you get to know a person and they get upset it does get a bit stupid. And therefore you want to make sure that person is ok" she said completely avoiding the word friend in anyway. Aida didn't have friends, she just knew people.
"And anyways, never let people abuse you, and if they do, abuse them back" she shrugged as she sat on the floor and looked around the room. "Very nice room indeed!"

"...Wow, I have a friend. If I piss you off, sorry, but... Aida... You like me!" She said smiling. "I'm glad, because I like you too. So... friends? Truce?" Makie held out her hand for Aida to shake on it. Makie didn't have friends and from what Aida just said it appears she didn't either.
"But if I faught back,I'd hurt them, then they'd never ever like me. So I didn't... But, I'm glad you like the room! The bathroom is light though. So everything is kind of..." She refrained from using the words 'dark vs light'. "Day vs Night!" She smiled as she placed the doll back into her duffle bag.
"So admit it! You like me so you couldn't leave me alone!" She said in a teasing tone of voice. "So now because Aida's nice and came back, she get's a friend!"

Laughed as she watched Makie, "you are the only person I know here, it brings safety to know people. But I do not call you friend, and there shall be now discussion about that. I just don't have friends" She said cheerfully and calmly as she stood up and walked around a bit.
"And I don't like you, I think you're ok" she said teasingly as she stuck her tongue out at Makie. She didn't mean to look evil or anything, it was just the way she acted towards people.
"And if people don't like you in the beginning they will most likely never like you. First impression matters all right? Well, you can call me friend, but I gave a promise to a certain person that I would not call anyone friend before I truly got to know the person" She shrugged as she walked towards the exit.
"Well, Makie, I will go and clean up and then go to sleep now. It was nice talking to you" she said as she opened the door. She stopped and looked over her shoulder, "any last words before I leave?" She asked jokingly.

"Yes I do. Aida likes me, but she's afraid to show it. So she's act all tough and says she don't have any friends, but she does! She hahas the lovable Makie-chan!" She laughed. If they weren't friend then what were they? They both opened up and they made up quickly. Then they tease the living hell out of eachother. Those acts prove to Makie that they're friends.
That's what Makie believes. She waved good bye to Aida then closed the door after she left. "Hehe, she likes me. She just needs more time before she'll admit it." Makie said in an almost whisper. "Now to clean up the mess I made!"

Yawned as she walked down to her room, she walked the staircase off course. Stupid girl thinks we are friends. A sigh escaped her lips, Aida didn't like the thought of having friends is scared her. She finally reached her floor and then to her room. She locked the door open and went inside. She was tired now, this day had been a whole mess and her left hand was still bleeding a little. Though not much, just a bit.
Ok so maybe she had gotten a friend, but maybe she hadn't. She shrugged and got undressed before she jumped into her new bed. So tired.

Makie hummed as she cleaned up. "What do you think grandma? Isn't she nice?" She giggled as she looked at her pendent that hung around her neck. "How about you mom? Dad?" She looked at the doll that lay on the bed. She went over to it and picked it up. It was pretty. She put it into the duffle bag and then put it on the top shelf. She closed the Willow closet and headed out the door. She locked up her room and head for the elevator.
The elevator doors opened as she hopped in. She pressed a button and down went the elevator! When she finally got down to the first floor, she gave a quick 'hello' and 'good bye' to Jousha and headed out the front door to the courtyard.

Makie yawned as she slowly sat up. Her hair was puffed out and many strands of hair covered her face. She blew on them to brush them away. It wasn't working to well. She got out of bed and rubbed her eyes. Drowsily, she scuffed to her closet. She opened one door and glanced through her clothes.
"What shall I wear today?" Makie asked herself. "I heard there's a summer festival going on. Maybe I should check that out..." She took out her pink kimono and took it with her to the bathroom. On the way to the bathroom, she took her brush.
As she entered her big bathroom, the lightness of the room blinded her. She was used to the darkness and suddenly there was a big change of color. She rubbed her eyes as she closed the door behind her. She flung off her pajamas and put on her kimono. After she tied the obi, she took her socks and staggered left and right attempting to get them on. After struggling and fighting with her socks, she finally got them on. She went over to the mirror and began to brush her hair.
"Ow, ow. Owwwwwww!" She cried out painfully as she tried to brush out the tangles. After minutes of crying out in pain she finally got all of the tangles out of her hair. She placed a small gold clip in her hair and smiled. She stepped out of the bathroom and went to the door. She slipped on some sandles and headed out the door.
She pressed the down button on the elevator and soon after the doors opened. She walked inside and pressed the button marked 'G'. With a familiar 'dinging' sound the doors closed and the elevator started to move. While Makie waited she started to sing a soft tune.
"Lalala, lala, lala." She sang softly. Makie didn't remember the words to it so she just said 'lalala'. The elevator 'dinged' and the doors opened. She stepped down on the ground level and waved to to Jousha and scurried out the door. She was going to the festival!

Late, after returning from the festival, Selene practically skipped up sixty-nine floors to her room. Unlocking the door she went into her place.
'I'd better give this place a tidy up,' she thought, spying the dust everywhere not to mention her luggage was lying about and there was clothes spread around her room.
She set the envelope of pictures on the desk and started with the clothing. Locating hangers in the walk in closet she sorted, folded and hung the clothing accordingly. When she was finished, Selene dusted and then went in search of a vacuum cleaner.
' maybe the staff has one,' she thought, closing her door and searching. It didn't take her long and in no time was up in her room vacuuming. In the process she tripped over the cord four times, once knocking into the desk.
When the room was up to her standards, and the clock read very, very late, Selene decided it was probably time to tuck in. Changing out of her festival kimono, she doned Pjs and snuggled inot the black bed.
' It has been a very wonderful day,' she thought.
~~~
The next morning, Selene awoke to an empty picture frame on the night stand. The previous nights events came rushing back to her.
'Oh that's right!' she though, stretching and getting out of bed, ' I've got to get those pictures into frames. I did say I would.'
But when she went to find the pictures, they were no where in sight. I know I left them on the desk! I no I did!' Selene paniced.
She searched the entire room but they were not to be found. Sighing she say down in an armchair to think.
' I set them on the desk last night, tidied up and vacuumed. I know that they were there when I started vacuuming....Oh no!' It hit her like a ton of bricks, ' They must have fallen when I fell into the desk cause I tripped on he cord!'
She jumped up and pulled the desk out from the wall. There was nothing on the ground, but in the back of the desk showed a small opening.
' They must have fallen in there, between the desk and the backing....but ow am I going to get them ou--hold on, what's this?' Selene was puzzled. There was two very faint small lines that ran down the the floor from either side of the opening, 'It's a compartment! It must open by a pressure spring! Now if I press carefully around this area it might open up....there.'
The sectret compartment sprung open. It revealed a very dusty, but roomy interior. Her envelope was in there, but itwas not alone. There was a small, coiled notebook, a key, some letters and a silver ring.
'Wow! These must be from previous residents!' Pulling everything out, Selene closed the compartment and returned the desk to its original positoin. She set the mysterious letters on the desk top and dug out the pictures, placing the one of her just about to kiss him, both their eyes closed, in the frame. Then she left, carrying the old coil book and the key.
As Makie reached the dorms, she was just about ready to collapse. But instead she kept going. She trudged over to the elevator and gave a quick yawn. Shortly after the elevator gave out a friendly 'ding' as the doors opened. Makie hopped inside and pressed the button marked '73'. The doors closed and the elevator started to go up.
"What a nice man, Oliver." she said. "We're about the same height and I think the same age." She glanced at the floor number they were at; 53. She stretched out. It was late but the momments she spent staying up was worth it. "Maybe I'll see him again..." She sighed hapily. He was nice, gentle and very kind. The elevator let out another 'ding' as the doors opened. Makie stepped out and quietly walked to her room. She unlocked the door and pushed it open. Her room was a pig sty the way she left it, but now it was clean. Her clothes were hung up, the bed was made and the pillows were fluffed. As she walked further in she saw a nice drink on her bed side table. She walked over to it. As she took a sip, she was energized. A nice strawberry drink.
"Mmmm." She said with a relaxed sigh. 'Oh right, bed, heh heh. Better get changed." She took down an empty hanger and some bed clothes. She rushed to the bathroom where she took off her red and gold designed obi and her pink kimono. She hung it up neatly on her hanger and pulled on new and clean lingerie. Her kimono was clean, which was a relief. Her pajama top was grey with black letters that spelt: 'Rock' and she had black and red checkered pants. She went out of the bathroom with her kimono in one hand and her brush in the other. She walked over to the Willow closet where she placed her kimono. She yawned as she walked over to her bed. She plopped down onto her bed and with that she fell asleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Makie awoke the next morning. She stretched out as she glanced at her alarm clock. "9:45 am, at least I didn't sleep in too late." She said with a weak laugh. Makie was tired she didn't want to talk or laugh or whatever. When she was awake she'd do all of those things. She put on her slippers as she scuffed over to her closet. "To the festival again today?" She asked herself as she stretched out again. "Alrighty, the festival it is..." She took her kimono and brush as she walked slowly to the bathroom. She hauled off her pajamas and slipped on her kimono. After she put on the obi and carefully tied it.
Then came the part in which Makie loathed... The ritual of brushing out the tangles. Makie sighed. She was awake now, but if she wasn't she'd be awake soon enough. She started to brush out her hair. It wasn't too bad. It was brushed out pretty good last night, so there weren't a lot of tangles.
"Ow!" Makie yelped in pain. "Well it was better then yesterday." Which was true she finished earlier which meant she got out to the festival earlier. She placed the cold clip back in her hair and flung her pajamas into the hamper. She picked out another pair of white socks after she flicked her other white ones in the hamper. She slipped on the new white socks and then put on her sandels. The room was a mess again.
"Man, I must be really giving them a tough time..." She said with a sigh. She flicked off the lights and went out the door. She locked the door behind her then ran to the elevator. She waited as the elevator came to her level. With a 'ding' the doors opened. Makie walked in and pressed a button. The elevator began to move.
"Hmmm, I wonder what I'll do today." She asked herself. "Yesterday was fun, maybe I'll have one of DJ's famous pizzas!" She licked her lips at the thought. And then there was Oliver. If she was lucky they might meet up again. Makie smiled sweetly. "Oliver such a gentleman. I can't wait to see him again." The elevator doors opened and Makie snapped out of her fantasy world. She hopped out the elevator and as she ran to the door she gave a quick wave of a 'hello and 'good bye' to Jousha. She went out the door and headed to the summer festival!

Sat up slowly as she finally woke up. She yawned and just sat there for a moment. Her hair was standing out in all directions, her eyes were red and there was make-up all around her eyes. She sat there for a moment before she rubbed her eyes smearing the make-up even more out. As she stood up she decided that it would be a good idea to get her cloths on. An easy plan that did not work out as intended.
Firstly she walked into a table. Then into a chair. Then into the sofa, then the wall, then the door and finally she managed to stumble over something and fall to the floor.
"Drat... not my day" she muttered before she fell asleep again.
---
A few hours later on she woke up, again. Still looking as much as a mess like before, just now she had a headache as well. "Gah" She finally managed to turn some light on and get into her cloths before she began on fixing her make-up and hair and cloths and stuff. Then she left the room, "Keys? I need keys!" SO once again she walked into her room and began the hunt for her keys. When she finally found her keys she left and locked the room and took the elevator down to the first floor. She waved at the adroid before she left the tower having no idea where to go. She was so new and so lost. Damn it.
