Tres chic, West. And don't worry about the things looking "generic". They seem just fine to me. If, however, it's really buggin you, I'd suggest using (with permission, of course) some avatar art instead of the avatars themselves - when available, that is.
As to you "X" problem, I believe the date that you're looking for is 1980, although you should probably check with Meghan anyway, as I'm probably not a great source.

If you've read the Brass Heart story and synopsis, I need your help.
www.gomanga.com will soon be accepting submissions. I'm on their boards in the creative end. I'm trolling for artists, but I need to explain to them what the story is. Basically, I'm looking for people who can write copy. I need a 2-3 paragraph pitch piece for the story. Any help is appreciated. Gaians who help get gold and other saintly things.
I want this to work so bad, but I need to find an artist. In order to find an artist, I have to 'sell' the piece to them. Please. I can actually see my dream.
