Elfir's word of the day would have to be frustrated. He had been wandering in the woods for some time now, and it was obvious he wasn't going to be killing anything, for so far, he had seen nothing. This had to be the dumbest idea he'd come up with so far (although, in hindsight, attacking a vamperic, fire-summoning creature with nothing but a switchblade and calling Sakura "Catkura" had their merits, too) Wondering whether or not to fire 3 shots in the air for help (and perhaps also alerting Lan the Elfir had wasted 3 bullets of his ammo; Lord knew he was gonna bleed for that...), Elfir tripped over something in the dark, then hit his shin on something quite hard. Reaching down to his leg, he discovered it was bleeding and now he had yet another rip in his pants leg (he faintly wondered if his tailoring skills could be any better than his janitorial). Grumbling darkly, he groped around to find whatever the heck it was that tripped him, only to discover his fingers running along a blade. He jumped back, rifle at the ready, but then realized it was part of an axe that had somehow gotten lodged in the ground. Grabbing it by the handle, he gave a mighty tug and unearthed it (not so weak now, Sakura...), gazing in awe at the treasure he had found. It was a single-headed battle-axe with small black pearls running along the handle; as well, the blade itself was formed of odd metal, which felt... warm? Elfir had spent enough time around weapons in his merc days to know there was an enchantment- no, a curse around it, but it seemed a shame to leave it out here in the woods! Flinging it over his shoulder, he decided he wouldn't return empty handed and then trudged off in the direction he hoped was the tavern.

She sniffed at the air, immediately serious. " Follow me." She growled, jumping off into the shadows( the sun had set). She ran far, homing in on the curse that she smelled, it was a strong curse too. She also smelt, Elfir? and...Lan's rifle? What the heck? Continuing on her search, she resorted to running horizontally across trees, trying not to disturb the wildlife around her. She continued running, a little ways ahead of Lan now, but stopped as she heard a soft ~whine~. Looking around, she spotted a small, whimpering pile of black fur near the base of the tree she was currently on. Jumping down directly in front of the little....animal she now deducted. Picking it up gently, she turned it over, peering into the eyes of...a baby fox? It had a gash along it's side, but, she couldn't heal it now. Numbing the pain, she placed the little creature safely into her sleeve and continued running. [[Bye. *hugs*]]

((bye, see ya (snap! my mail doesn't work xp !)))
Elfir finally arrived at the tavern, relieved he hadn't got lost after all. Placing the rifle by the door, he went inside to get a better look at his prize. Hunger [for food] forgotten, he found an old rag and polished excess dirt off, observing the luster that it gave off. There was something odd about those glassy black pearls, though, that made Elfir just a tad uneasy. Shrugging for about the hundreth time, he wondered to himself how his boss was going to react to this discovery of his.

She ran back to the Tavern, as quickly as she could. she could hear the little kitsune whine. Reaching the tavern she walked through the door, clearly too destracted to notice Elfir. gently sliding the kitsune out of her sleeve onto a table, she frowned deeply when she saw the deep gash.

Elfir, panicking, shoved the axe out of sight behind the counter at Sakura's approach. "Hey boss-lady, I'm real sorry fer- eh? Whazzat?" He noticed suddenly a small lump of dark fur on the table before her, and, if he wasn't mistaken, some blood, too. "Ehhh... is it gonna be ok? What did that, anyway?" he asked, wondering if saying anything at all had been a wise decision.

She prodded at the gash, wincing as the baby fox struggled against her. She quickly healed the poor thing and picked it up, cuddling it close to her neck. It nuzzled up to her and crawled into the flap of her kimono, and crawling back out her sleeve. She giggled and picked the thing...her, and held her above her head, sticking her tongue out and giggling as it made a high pitched pinging noise and nuzzled into her hand. " I don't know what did it, but she' s fine now."

"Phew, that's good" Elfir sighed, relieved, then remembered his treasure. Hopping back behind the counter, he retrieved the axe and tucked it away under his jacket, dashing out the bar before Sakura could interegate him. "G'night, sorry fer bein' late, see ya t'mar!" He then disappeared into the night. ('night, see ya tomorrow, friends.)

[[*hugs* Night!]] The baby fox looked at the door as he left before she flipped it on to it;s back, craddleing it in her arms. She stood and brought out some raw meat from the refrigerator. Hand feeding the kitsune by hand, tiny piece by piece, she thought out loud. "What to name you?"

Reaching the door of the bar Lan peered around looking as he walked inside seening Sakura, Elfir the young kitsune "well what do we have here?" looking in Sakura's hands Lan peered at the baby kitsune as a warm smile spread across his face "a baby kitsune." watching as the baby continued to love on Sakura Lan peered over at Elfir "so tell me where have you been?"

Looking at Lan, she smiled. "Do you have any idea what to name her?" She sighed, seeing the little kitsune having trouble eating the meat. She brightened up instantly as she realised the problem. "Lan-kun, could you get me a dry rag and some warm milk please?"

looking up at Sakura Lan turned grabbing a bowl from the cupboard, laying the bowl on the counter Lan turned towards the fridge grabbing a bottle filled with milk "not sure at the moment but where did you find the poor thing?" turning back towards the counter Lan began pouring the milk in the bowl as he reached over to a drawer grabbing a dry clean rag. "order up."

Laughing, she thankfully took the bowl and rag from Lan, watchin gthe small kitsune run around in her lap. " I found her wounded at the base of one of the Giant trees." She dipped the corner of the rag into the milk, holding it up above the little black furred one' s muzzle. The baby smelled it, then jumped up and gratefully suckled on the rag. " I healed her, and she seems to have no family."

"leaning on the counter watching he baby kitune eat Lan brought his gaze up to Sakura as he listened to her "so you saying she could have been abandon?" Looking down at the baby again Lan frowned feeling sorry "by the looks of her she sure been out there for awhile." pulling another rag out from the drawer the young man began soaking the cloth and wringing it. After the cloth was wringed Lan walked over to Sakura and began cleaning the dirt off of the baby fox's face.
