The raven-haired girl did not move, nor even bat an eye. She calmly remained in place, like a emotionless porcelain doll...Hatsuyuki had fully expected the kunai's sting but...neither the pain nor blood came... Her horrified eyes widened as she realized who had taken the kunai instead... One of the patients had protected her. No, that was! From his pierced chest...blood flowed freely.

"Kira!"

The usually demure girl, her horrified scream echoed through the grand halls of the hospital. She caught him as he fell...her legal guardian, no...her friend...her family! No...no...NO! The kunai! Hatsuyuki realized with great desperation as she cradled Kira in her arms, tears streaming freely down her cheeks. Though her heart already knew, she did not want to believe the wound was fatal - surely, this was only a dream, only a terrible nightmare!

Before the kunai struck, a ghost-like extension wrapped around Kira's arm was swung at the intruding boy. It wasn't perfect Gamibuyou but a more clearly visible form of what Hatsuyuki had used back in the Academy... So that was how the Fubuki clan's Taijutsu style worked, they create extensions with their Hyouton chakra...then attack with the ghostly Hyouton blade, that appeared like only innocent transparent cloth wrapped around his left arm...will have just as real a bite as a material sword. If used at a close enough range, it would seem like slash wounds simply appears on the victim while the clansman does not actually touch the opponent.

A ghost of smirk flickered over his face as the kunai struck its mark...rather what would've been Hatsuyuki's forehead...instead struck was his heart. It was satisfying, having able to struck a good mark on the insolent boy who tried to hurt Hatsuyuki... He knew it was a good attack. Wait, why was she crying? What had he done wrong? Didn't...hadn't he...? Failed to make her happy...again... The boy thought distantly, feeling strength leaving him.

"S-sorry...H-hatsuyuki-hime..." The raven-haired boy whispered, coughing out some blood. The crimson stain was spreading further now from the kunai buried in his chest. Hatsuyuki wrapped her delicate fingers around the kunai...pulling desperately. But the cruel metal blade would not remove itself.

"Don't call me that." Her voice was angry as more tears fell while the kunai would not budge despite her best efforts. "This is a hospital - you can't just die, selfish jerk!"

As he came out of the room Hikaru heard a rucouse coming from down the hall. Fearing attack's to the hospital, he ran quickly down hall ways to check out the problem. He ran down the hallway and went left, there where ninja attacking a boy and there was something frosted over on the ground a few feet away. The village shinobi wouldn't attack someone without reason, so he went by their example. Hikaru ran around quickly, looking for a weapon. He came upon a shuriken laying on a surgical table. He then drew his hand back and threw it towards the boy.

The pitch of Batosai’s scream was startling and froze the boy in his sandals. This few seconds of paralyzed muscles allowed the red eye boy to score a five knuckle rocket at the nose. This blow made his head snap back also twisting his neck awkwardly from the hit. The mad bomber’s feet back peddled slowly trying to escape in case another blow was to arise from the punk before him. It was a surprise attack. “How’d this brat move? I caught him in the throat! he shouldn’t have been able to move! No matter. I’ll wrap this explosive tag around his tongue and…!”

The thought process was cut short as a searing pain tore through the youth’s spine. His voice yelled out that could have rumbled the whole hospital. The two attacks rocked swayed him in an irregular direction. The boy had to get back his poise and maintain control of the situation. Both dark orbs whipped around to see the perpetrator. It was that girl. The one who diffused the bomb! Her raven hair whipped around and ice eyes were framed with light blue tears streaming down her face and dripping on the red lotus kimono she wore. This was the person who lashed him? She’d pay. He’d make her digest the explosive tag and detonate in her stomach. That would be a perfect revenge.

While leering from the hit, the little suicider scooped up the fallen kunai in his right palm. Within that hand he also curled the explosive tag around the kunai. The other palm then covered half his face and all of his mouth. He rubbed his nose slightly while beginning to speak to this academy student through a muffled voice. “You little b***h. That hurt… a lot. Pieces of garbage trying to save one another. Bah. I had forgotten about you, but now I’ll make sure you die first.” His body swayed unsteadily as each step approached the young Fubuki. The right hand twirled the kunai like a dagger while his other palm covered all, but his left eye. “I’m going to turn you into a human firecracker and watch your body cover this hallway. Then I’m going to take your little friend behind me and shove his…” the sentence was never finished. The left hand quickly moved away and between the bomb boy’s lips one thin needle flew out, aimed at where the Suki’s collar bone and neck met.

Hatsuyuki instinctively shut her eyes, embracing Kira closer to her... A sudden, shrill pitched cry filled the room but it wasn't one that was injuring to the ear...rather, a beautifully melodious sound...highly reminiscent of the distant music of crystal bells. One sapphire blue eye cautiously cracked open.

At first glance, it seemed as if the pet bird of one of the patients further down the hall, a stunning bird about the size of an average adult swan yet with the sleek elegance of an eagle...with magnificent crimson plumage dipped in blazing gold, had summoned some ty[e of kekkai: a three layer transparent violet-flared square-shaped barrier had shielded the child and her cousin. When the senbon needle touched the barrier, it was repelled and burned aflame with sacred fire. Yet the bird was neither swan nor eagle...a phoenix. Landing delicately on the shoulder of her master, it became obvious...a shinobi of Suna! But was this one an enemy? His pet phoenix had saved a child of Kiri...

Ketsu
Description of Jutsu: A barrier type defensive ninjutsu in which Kousei will summon a cubic shaped kekkai barrier that would surround their comrades or enemies (or even part of their enemies during offensive use). The more advanced the user, the more layers of the kekkai can be added, thus making it harder for an opponent to break free. When utilized offensively, after trapping an opponent within the barrier, the kekkai is induced to explode like a bomb.

Training: For Kousei only and is a technique that cannot be taught.
Special: Summons a basic ten feet kekkai barrier. The kekkai’s area is treated as solid space. The user can manipulate the kekkai’s shape by will though the barrier itself will remain stationary (in the position it was summoned) until disappearing or dismissal. The kekkai itself is a barrier of divine chakra (friendly for comrades) and repels outside effects (poisonous smog and etc).

Touzoku, with his arms crossed impassionately, glared at the crying girl. His single revealed crimson eye flared with disappointment...did he somehow know her? "Good job, Kousei." The Jounin barked, speaking to the bird on his shoulder. And then to Hatsuyuki: "You're a shinobi, girl. Can't even take a puny kid down? And don't misunderstand - that wasn't for you. Just be glad I decided to check this hospital first for the idiots from my town that strayed to this island with that woman." The Suna Jounin momentarily jabbed a thumb at the Suna headband around his forehead. So he was an irate ambassador under the direct orders of the Kazekage...with the task of dragging illegal Suna arse present in Kiri back.

"Kousei, go check on her friend. Don't waste too much chakra though, we have desert *fish to catch and ship back home." The phoenix let out another answering cry and circling the high ceiling once, entered the apparently solid barrier from before with ease, landed gently on Hatsuyuki's shoulder, and arched her lovely neck over the unconscious boy (Kira).

You cannot pull it out? A soft musical voice, like the distant echo of crystal bells would clearly register within Hatsuyuki's head. The slightest widening of sapphire blue eyes told the phoenix her Reishi's contact was successful but just in case the child thinks she is going crazy... I am Astale Ei Daemonia Eucharistia Levania II but my master calls me Kousei.

A soft pause as Kousei pushed the telepathic link a bit further into the girl's turbulent emotions. A precious person, whom you desire to save but cannot... Why should I help you, humans die every day after all... So understand, child...this is not for you. Molten golden claws gripped around the kunai and Kousei beat her lovely wings, taking flight. Her kekkai was set ten feet beginning from the ground up and ten feet in all four directions so there was no problem with small flight. The kunai was easily dislodged from Kira's chest. When this child rushed to protect you, he done so without hesitation...and knowing fully well he would die.

Let me see all of the wound. The order came clearly as Kousei ignored Hatsuyuki's slight flush as she slipped Kira's shirt down. The bird returned to Hatsuyuki's shoulder placing her lovely head over Kira's chest. This child's time has not come yet. In the future, perhaps...he will be a fine warrior... Heavy pearly tears flooded away the crimson blossom over the boy's chest...the flesh began stitching itself back together. Yet, what Kousei had done was not forbidden cell regeneration like Konoha's famous Creation Rebirth technique but rather an ancient power that was the distant root and model of the Shosen technique. Phoenix tears, with the power to heal those in lethal conditions without shortening their time on earth.

Only Touzoku and Hatsuyuki could hear Kousei's words but... Child, open your eyes. The sense, the feeling...the pure power of the command echoed in at least some distant piece of all those gathered's spirits. As if to answer her word, the surge of power...the child that should've been dead slowly opened his eyes and sat up. Kira seemed surprised too that he was alright, unscathed...the only thing remaining is the tall-tale hints of blood and the hole on his shirt.

Reishi
Description of Jutsu: A form of telepathy that allows the user to read the hearts (thoughts) of others. The target, using this telepathic link, can communicate back and forth with the user ranging anything from words to processed images and even to reading feelings. This is an odd technique in itself as Reishi shares common roots with the origin of Yamanaka techniques.

Drawback: Like the Yamanaka clan’s Shintenshin no Jutsu, if the target’s mind is in a great state of pain (0Hp or 0 MHp): that means auto kick-out. If the target reaches 50% of their original Hp/MHp, a concentration DC of 20 must be made by the user. Once the opponent reaches 10% of their original Hp/MHp, a concentration DC of 60 must be made in order to maintain the technique. To move for techniques and exercise Reishi at the same time, one must roll a concentration DC of 40 (+10 for each existing telepathic link). Without counting her master and summons, Kousei may create a telepathic link with only one outsider at a time. Those who learn Reishi may only openly communicate with their summons and one outsider at a time.
Requirements: Chakra Control 10, 10 Concentration for each telepathic link (former is for non-combative case, if exercised while in battle add to this +40)
Training: For Kousei only, this is a born ability. Reishi is a secret technique that may only be learned with her help: 2 days.
Special: For Reishi to connect (on an unwilling target), the user would pit their Concentration skill against their opponent’s Sense Motive. In combat, being able to read the opponent’s train of thought, the user’s DB and reflex increases accordingly: +2 per 10 Sense Motive and Concentration skill (if Reishi is used to help a comrade, the target will also gain half of the DB bonus the user gains). Considered an ability (born or trained), Reishi takes the normal one attack turn (same as using skills) when utilized.

Tears of the Phoenix
Description of Jutsu: The powers of the phoenixes of legend were always closely tied with healing. Their tears, channeling the power of their spiritual life-force, are known for their purification powers and to instantly close and heal life-threatening wounds.

Damage: None
Drawback: Beautiful birds though just as in the legends, as cold as their beauty. Phoenixes will only cry for their masters and those who they truly have come to care about.
Requirements: Gained upon reaching lv 15.
Training: For Kousei only. This is a born ability that cannot be taught.
Special: When dealing with DCs for poisons, add to the Chakra Control the chakra utilized. The tears will purify and convert any poison into harmless proteins for the body. This would also close any openly bleeding wounds (inducing the cells to regenerate and thus ending external bleeding damage) and restore vitality to one dangerously near death (Hp healed: x2.5 of the utilized chakra + 1.5 Chakra mod. + 2 per 10 Ninjutsu + 2 per 10 Treat Injury). Considered an ability, this takes the normal one attack turn (same as using skills) when utilized.

"The wound..." Hatsuyuki gasped softly. "It's gone...?" Touzoku snorted. "It's phoenix tears. Never heard the legend?" At the girl's wide sapphire orbs, he smiled. "Yes, Kousei is a phoenix...a real phoenix. You should be honored that she was impressed with that boy's sacrifice." Her surprise was understandable as the legend also stated the cruelty of phoenixes, knowing their tears could heal those close to death yet would generally cry for only one person through each of their many lives - their master.
