Kuoni winced. 'Like Mikey...' She didn't doubt Aphrodite's word anymore. Kuoni looked up in momentary confusion after getting pulled into that harsh thought of her brother. She headed forward determinedly. "I still have time." She muttered, her stubborn side starting to come back out, not liking even Lux's innocent pointing out of weakness, though she was feeling kinda heavy... Still time!
"Okay, he's at a small pond surrounded densly by birches and pines. It's not too far."

Lux shook her head at Kuoni's stubbornness. "I figured you still had time. I'm just saying your not going to be able to run fast or fight." She said picking up the pace, "Well let's hurry before he leaves that pond." She was still wondering how Kuoni knew where her father is.

Kuoni nodded reluctantly. Running fast and fighting were definitly things she couldn't do right then. At least, not very well. She sped up her pace as Lux did.
After taking his drink, Enigma curled up in a bush of wide thick leaves within sight of the pond. He looked up at the sky through the gap in the trees. Using it, he looked in the direction of the cabin. He thought about Fiorenza, how long it'd been since he'd last seen her. Wondering how she was doing, he laid his head on his paws. 'I should go see her soon. But how can I face her... I haven't found Kuoni yet.' He also thought about his son and his choices. So many things to think about... But sleep prevailed. Not thoughts of his seemingly broken family nor his sore body could keep sleep away tonight. Maybe there would be a clue when he woke up fresh. As fresh as he could get lately.

Lux looked up at the coming night sky and sighed. This was not the best time to be out searching for someone. "I hope we get there soon. We shouldn't be out after dark." She said with a hint of fear in her voice, "Lethe and Mnemosyne will be out 'playing' once night falls."
Creepy up towards Enigma, Mikey watched his father from the shadows. He was hidden in some bushes and he crouched down on the ground. He was planning on attacking his father.... no Enigma like he did with Fiorenza. He stopped where he was and observed Enigma as he fell asleep. Lethe and Mnemosyne will be out and able to help him once night falls completely.

Kuoni frowned. Why should they be afraid of the night? She'd been alone out here for weeks. Sure there were bad things, but they could be delt with. Then Lux got specific. "Who are you talking about?" She asked before jumping through some leaves and into a tiny clearing made up mostly of a pond. "Lux! This is it!" She whispered excitedly, not really giving Lux time to answer her question. She looked around quickly. "Oh, don't say he left already!" She whined, pawing the ground in annoyance.
Enigma had barely gotten to sleep when he heard someone loudly enter the clearing. His eyes flew open, but his body remained still. His gaze caught a white female and a black female. Wait- that black female... No, the flowers were different. But... it was the same pattern, one big pink flower on her haunches, green eyes. He squinted in the dimming light. It couldn't be. Could it? 'Kuoni?' He stayed still. He would watch first. Why were two females out here?

Lux was about to answer when Kuoni began talking again. She shook her head and jumped into the clearing. She looked around but didn't see anyone at first. She then did a slowly sweep of the clearing and noticed a pair of eyes watching them. "I think he's still here." She whispered pointing to Enigma with her head. After standing there for a minute or two her fur began to stand on end and the feeling that someone was watching began to creep up. "Make it quick Kuoni. We're not alone.... or we won't be for long." She watched and the sky began to grow darker.
Mikey glared at Lux when she appeared with another female. The other female looked familiar.... oddly familiar. The Lux said her name.... Kuoni. Mikey's eyes narrowed even more as he glared at them. It was then that Lux began to feel that someone was watching. He had to restrain himself from leaping out and attacking Kuoni and then Enigma. He knew Lux wouldn't put up much of a fight. But he stayed hidden and waited for Lethe and Mnemosyne. Night would be here soon and so would they.

Enigma narrowed his eyes when Lux spotted him. Dang. He had been hoping to watch a bit longer. But then she said the name. His baby girl's name. 'She's okay!' He stood quickly and stepped into the clearing. "Kuoni. Please come home."
Kuoni looked back at Lux. "Really? Where is he?" She tried to take a better look around and briefly wondered what she meant by 'not alone' when Enigma stepped out from the bush. She stared at him for a moment. The mirror hadn't been false. He was here! She barely heard what he said as she squealed happily and ran at him. "Daddy!!" She nuzzled against her father, tears of happiness in her eyes. His eyes were wide with shock. When Kuoni finally noticed the look he had, she sat back and shook her head in apology. "I'm sorry daddy. For everything. I shouldn't have run away back then. I'm sorry for hurting you." New tears filled her eyes as Enigma simply nuzzled her back, accepting her apology.

Mikey nearly laughed in delight when night fell. Lethe and Mnemosyne would be on their way and soon would be here. He smiled evilly as he watched the reunion between Enigma and Kuoni.
Lethe left the dead woods with Mnemosyne once night fell. They followed Mikey's scent knowing it would lead them to some fun and trouble. The twins glanced at each other and grinned; excited for tonight.
Lux watched the reunion between Kuoni and her father impatiently. The feeling that they weren't alone and that danger was coming was growing. She cleared her throat to get their attention after Kuoni's apology. "Sorry to cut this short but we should continue this at the cabin. It's not safe to be out after dark anymore and as you can see it's dark out. So we need to leave.... NOW!" She said turning and getting ready to leave. She froze when she heard a faint growling (which is coming from Mikey). "Oh shi..." She said trailing off when she caught a faint scent that was both fresh and old. It seems that Mikey often visited this place and always used the same trail.

Enigma looked at Lux, up to the sky, then back to Lux and nodded. He smiled at Kuoni. "Come on. Let's go." He turned and saw Lux freeze. He froze in turn and narrowed his eyes, all traces of sleep gone from him. He also heard the faint growling. There was no scent where he stood. He padded up to Lux, about to say they should keep moving when he caught the scent that had made the white female stop. Every muscle in his body tensed. "Kuoni. Get over here." He growled sharply. His various stops back home had informed him of what had happened to his son, and what attitudes the boy now held for his family.
Kuoni looked at Lux and Enigma in suprise. Why was everyone panicing about the dark? She trotted up to them, scooting between them as Enigma indicated with his head. She noticed the scent there too, but she didn't recognize the scent of her brother. "I thought you said we were going?" She questioned.

Lux looked at Enigma and nodded. "You are leaving. With you dad.... Now. Go now!" She said turning towards where the scent was the freshest. She crouched down and growled. "Hurry and leave. I'll cover you two. That's who he's going to go after so it's better that you leave before any others can show up."
Mikey was indeed growling but had stopped when Enigma caught onto his scent as well. Lux was indeed looking at him without realizing it. He could wait. After all if he staled them for a few more minutes, Lethe and Mnemosyne would block their exit. He laughed at this and the sound carried in the quiet woods. "Looks like I can kill two birds.... or rather wolves with one stone." He said still laughing. He quietly moved from his spot so they wouldn't be able to find him. He crept closer to them and stopped after he had move several yards.
Mnemosyne was brimming with excitement. Tonight was supposed to be fun. They were supposed to help Mikey find his worthless father and put him in his place and possibly out of his misery. She looked over at her twin and grinned her creepy grin. "Let's hurry. We don't want to miss any fun." She said walking slightly faster.

Enigma watched Lux for half a second before nodding. "Allright. Thank you." He turned to Kuoni when Mikey's laughed reached his ears. He growled reflexivly, his fur bristling slightly. He couldn't believe that wicked laugh came from his son. He shook his head. "Kuoni. Now." He turned and headed for the brush.
Kuoni's eyes widened. What were they talking about? Why were they so worried?! She heard as the laugh reached them, causing the fur along her spine to crawl and stand. 'What is that?' She looked at lux nervously before starting after her father.

Lux nearly sighed in relief when Enigma and Kuoni began to leave. She focused on that laughing and the faint words that were said. "Not this time." She whispered standing her ground. It became quiet again and her eyes darted around. Where was he? She knew he was hiding somewhere nearby but where?
Mikey became deadly quiet when he saw that Enigma and Kuoni were going to get away. He wasn't sure what to do and his eyes narrowed as he began to think. He could let them leave and take them on another time, he could attack now and probably lose, or he could charge with the intention of scaring the daylights out of them to teach them he was not one to be messed with now. He was still weighing these options when he noticed that they were getting further away. He shook his head knowing he would have to settle with charging them.... and taking his fury out on Lux. He crouched down before springing out of the bushes straight for Kuoni. A growl ripped through his chest as he charged at her.
Lux was already moving when Mikey sprang from the bushes. She blocked his path to Kuoni and rammed into him. "Hurry!" She cried and tried to push Mikey back. She yipped in pain when Mikey bite her shoulder.
Lethe and Mnemosyne were almost to where Mikey was when they heard the sounds of a fight. They both paused and tilted their heads for a moment before grinning. "We'll let him deal with this for now." They both said chuckling.

Kuoni whined slightly, not wanting to leave Lux behind, when a dark wolf suddenly appeared running right for her. She yelped in surprise and fear. “Lux!” She screamed again when Lux was bitten by the angry male until she was shoved forward by Enigma and she ran. “Daddy! Who is that!?” She called. Why was that wolf aiming for her? She did not recognize her brother’s face twisted with anger.
Enigma had just reached the edge of the clearing when Mikey charged. He snarled and jumped back in front of Kuoni. Realizing Lux had gotten to Mikey first, he turned to Kuoni and gave her a shove. “GO! NOW!” He nearly teared up when Kuoni asked who the attacker was. He could only keep running, unable to say the name.

Lethe and Mnemosyne watched as Kuoni and Enigma left the clearing where the fight was. "Looks like Mike got someone else." Mnenosyne said.
"Let's go see who." Lethe replied. They both walked into the clearing and saw Mikey fighting Lux. "This should be interesting. Never thought she had a spine and could fight."
Mikey threw Lux to the ground after they had wrestled for several minutes. He roared (more of a yell than a roar) in frustration when Kuoni and Enigma got away. He then spotted Lethe and Mnemosyne and growled at them. "You... Let... Them... Get... Away." He said growling. He received a shrug from the twins and he roared again. "Oh.... Lux you are going to pay dearly for this." He said turning back to her. His eyes were dark with his fury and he seethed of anger as he moved closer to Lux. He nodded to let Lethe and Mnemosyne know that they could join in after the first couple of minutes.
Lux was thrown to the ground and her breath come out in a whoosh. She smiled when she thought about how she had helped Kuoni and Enigma get away but it faded as soon as she saw the look in Mikey's eyes and the look Lethe and Mnemosyne were sharing. She gulped and braced herself for the pain that would be upon her soon. When Mikey did fall on her attacking she screamed in pain which was cut off after a moment. A smaller scream sounded through the woods when Lethe and Mnemosyne joined in.
((Dun dun dun.... What has become of our small hero? Will she survive? And what about Kuoni and her father, Enigma? Will Mikey be sated for long? Find out next time on.... Moonlit Drama! XD I had to do it.))

Kuoni tumbled over when Lux's scream pierced the trees. "LUX!" She yelled, looking back the path she had just come. She held her breath, but no other sound reached her. The trees were too thick. "Daddy!" She said angrily, trying to find an explaination. "Why did he attack us?! Who was that!? What happened to Lux!?" She only got another shove forward in responce. "She was only trying to help me." She said sadly as they ran.
Enigma gasped when he heard the scream, but he only stopped since Kuoni fell. He shoook his head and pushed his daughter forward. They had to keep moving! When he heard Kuoni's last sad comment, he sighed. "I don't know who that was." He said forcefully, a touch of deep sadness behind his words. Could his Mikey still be somewhere in that monster he had just seen? "Just keep going. The cabin shouldn't be too far. We can rest there." 'Now I can see Fiorenza. I found our daughter.'
