After having left the hotsprings, Talon made his way once more to the lake and sat once more in the shade of the tree he was seated at earlier. With his back against the tree, Talon gazed once more over the water and felt at peace, slowly his eyes became heavy as Talon drifted into a quiet sleep.

Aideki had taken a seat upon the shoreline, her eyes transfixed upon the glass-like water as it reflected the sky above. She had a stick in hand and was twirling it around in the water, creating tiny ripples that distorted the mirrored image of all that stood bordering the lake or that loomed above it's quiet face. From the corner of her eye she saw the young man return, taking up his seat below the tree again. She couldn't help but wonder, as she did whenever she caught sight of most anyone, whether that young man had the ability to sail or not....

As Talon slept under the tree, his old life played out before him in his dreams. From the time of his youth, playing with the other children in the tribe. He dreamed of his days in training with his family, learning to hunt and to survive the harsh wilds. Some of his training seemed odd to Talon yet he emjoyed his time with his tribe. Then came the day when Talon had left his tribe with the blessing of the elders, to find a place of rest. In the land of reality, a small smile crossed Talon's lips, as if his body was sure it had found such a place.

"Sailing..." Aideki whispered as her crimson eyes fell back upon the placid lake surface, her thoughts plunging into the past, like a rock being submerged into water. It had been so long.......so long.... A wind fell down from the trees, running its away across the grass until it came upon the lake. The breeze danced through Aideki's short black locks, bringing out the strands. The water was caught in the wind and lapped along the shore, kissing the fox tails bowing to the gust of air passing through. For a moment, Aideki smelt a very slight tinge of salt upon the wind, as if it had come straigh from the ocean...but she knew it was only her imagination. It's calling....

As the sun moved across the sky, some sunbeams passed through the leaves and branches and shined upon Talon's face, waking him. He streched a bit and yawned, then looked about the lake. Sitting near the water's edge with a stick in her hand, Talon noticed the same woman he saw earlier. Since he had not spoken to any of the other residents since he had arrived, he decided to greet this one. He walked over to her and bowed slightly, "Good afternoon miss, I am Talon, may I ask you your name?" When he looked at her face, he noticed a slight detatched look upon her face, as if her was thinking of something.

Aideki looked up to him, her blood red eyes peering through the overhanging locks of her short black hair. For a moment, she was silent, studying him now that she could see him upclose. "Aideki..." she said simply, "Or so I've been called..." Looking back down at the water, she could see the man's reflection in its placid surface, "Have a seat..." she said then in a low tone. It had been awhile since she revelled in company that she had forgotten its purpose. Perhaps it would come back to her now....

Talon sat down upon the grass next to Aideki and looked out over the water's surface. The low tone in Aideki's voice did not escape Talon, something seemed to be troubling her... "I'm pleased to meet you Miss Aideki. Have you been here in this place for a long time?" Talon wanted to ask her what was troubling her, but he doubted that she would open up to a stranger...

"Please, just call me Aideki...no formalities are necessary..." she replied, leaning back, laying her hands out in the grass to stable herself, "I've been here for awhile, I suppose...though there was a time when I had left for a bit." Her words died off, and she stared crimson eyes wide into the clear surface of the lake...as if she were watching her entire past unravel there before her. "How long have you been here?" she asked then after a moment, her eyes focusing, "I can't say I've seen you much before."

It felt good to talk to someone else. How long had it been since Talon truly sat down a spoke to another living soul. His life of travel never gave him many chances... "I've been here for only a day or so. I still don't know where everything is yet but I like this place. It has a quiet peace about it that I can't explain." A soft smile came to Talon's tanned face.

Aideki chuckled lightly at his last remark, "Ah, my friend, and so it would seem..." she responded, closing her eyes and shaking her head, "I thought the exact same thing upon arrival. So peaceful...so quiet. A bit of heaven, hm?" She opened her eyes and glanced over at him, "But the silence will prevail until any bit of noise would do you good. The silence is nice, yes, but...there's too much of it." Glancing about, her crimson red eyes studied the trees across the lake, "It makes me wonder sometimes..." There came a moment of silence as Aideki fell into deep thought. A wind blew down from the sky, dancing about quietly. Eventually, the young girl came to and she laughed, falling back upon the grass where she folded her cut-off gloved hands below her head, "But don't mind what I say... I suppose I'm just a wanderer who hasn't had her share of wandering as of late...."

Another smile came to Talon's lips when Aideki mentioned the word wanderer. His whole life Talon had been a wanderer. He knew of the wander lust all to well. Looking down at Aideki, Talon could see the marks of travel on her. "I take it the peace and quiet of these grounds don't always suit you? Much like yourself, I too am a wanderer, my clan is nomadic. Our travels took us nearly everywhere, the desert, the jungle, the sea, even to the mountain peaks." Talon looked at his bronze skin and continued to smile at his memories on the road.

Aideki's ears perked up when he mentioned the sea, "The sea?" She said, sitting up and staring at him with wide eyes, "Really? Does this mean you can sail?" Her elven ears stood straight up, attentive, as she waited for his reply. It sounded as if he had been as many places as she and with all the wandering one must fall upon learning to sail.. Of course, no wanderer is truly complete if they haven't wandered the great vastness of the roaring ocean.

Talon was taken aback by Aideki's sudden attention to his comment about sailing. As he looked at her, he barely just noticed her pointed ears. Never before had Talon seen ears that pointed but he decided to ask about that later... "Yes, I did sail the sea for a time. I had my own vessel too, it wasn't very large. I was my own crew. What about you?" Talon's eyes continued to stare at Aideki's pointed ears in wonder.

"Why...I grew up on the sea..." she said, a very weak smile tugging at her lips, as if a breeze of memories were coming back to her. However, her faint smile turned into a devilish grin, "Though you may not be too fond of what I was, ahem, what I still am. Though I don't suppose pirates amount to too much when they've no ship and as far from the ocean as this. I feel dry at times..." Her crimson eyes stared on across the placid lake and in a rhetorically faint tone, she added, "Suppose that's why I seem to sit about at the lake so much..." Shrugging, she glanced back at him, noticing the way he stared at her...or rather past her. Looking behind her for a moment, she glanced about in confusion, then set her eyes back upon him, unawares that his attention was set upon her long pointy ears, "What are you staring at?" She asked then, her head cocking to the side slightly.

In a slight trance, Talon shook his head to clear his thoughts then looked at Aideki. He hadn't meant to stare and he felt a little embarressed because of it. "I was... staring at... your... ears..." The last word Talon spoke came out in a low whisper, almost too low to be heard, a slight blush came to Talon's face.
