Hi everyone, I'm new here.

I'm Brittany, and here is a little about me :

I was raised in an aetheistic household.
I did not believe in God until I was 14.
My father made fun of me and my religion.

The reasons I came to God really make a good story..
See.. I fell in love with this boy when I was 14.. and then, still while friends, my mother had a stroke. It nearly killed her..

I thought I'd lose her.
I went to school the next day.. since I had been given a choice, go back to the hospital.. or go to school. I found Matt, the guy I mentioned.. he asked where I had been. I freaked out! I didn't know what to say, I was in shock, and so sad and.. I just exploded on him!

He didn't turn away from me though, not even a little! He asked me if I wanted to talk about it.. and I told him all about it. 8 days later, we were dating.

Well, after that we learned a lot about each other as people tend to do, and it turns out- he is/was a Christian. I still wasn't. (All of this occured in October)

I witnessed a miracle.. my mother recovered. I believed after that.

I prayed once.. if there was anything God wanted me to know, to send a purple rose.. a sign I'd know he had sent. I got such a rose once and only once.

I don't remember which year, but in December or early January.. in winter.. see, I live in Texas, and flowers don't catch on that it's winter sometimes, being a bit warm.. roses were blooming still, and so on..

Well, I picked a few roses for my mother while at my grandmother's house.

One was pink, one white.. one red.

The same bushes produced the same color flowers everytime.. she had 5 or 6 rose bushes afterall.

Well.. the red rose was as red as they come. Beautiful, and nearly perfect!

I put them in a pretty sky-blue vase.. I remember because it was my favorite vase. It was prettier than the crystal ones. I put water in it, like always..

The next morning, however, the three roses were there, still..

white, pink, and.. where had the red gone? In its place was a purple rose. Beautiful, healthy, alive.. I took pictures of it, but my computer that I had them stored on got a virus.. I showed the rose itself to people and asked what color it was, too shocked to stop thinking I was seeing things.

"Purple."

I think the message God had sent me was the trust in him more...and now I try to, very hard.

..and, I've been tested!

The day I was baptized.. my fiance (Matt), and his mother took me to the church.. my parents didn't go.

I couldnt see their faces, my glasses were removed.. but I know that Matt and his mom were smiling.. the whole church must have been!

I was baptized.. amazing.. I thought the water would be cold.. but I didn't hesitate to step in it. A mini-leap of faith you could say.. not the test, though.

You see, that night a friend invited Matt and I to her youth group.

We went..

I got a call that night.. my parents divorced. It didn't shake my faith at all though.

.. see, I told you it makes a nice story. =D.

Hi, you can call me Dark, or by my old neopets nickname, Anime. ^__^ I'm a Roman Catholic and I've had a strong faith and link to religion ever since I was a kid.

It's just wonderful to look back and see how my faith has developed over time, and how much love there is from Christ. My grandma passed away a few years back and I fell into a miserable time- but with support from my parents and God I pulled through. I gained the strength to write and get some poetry published- by become stronger and by praying and knowing my loved one is in such hands just...fills my heart with happiness. And I'm able to write more and do things that I love with a regular joy and enthusiasm.

I find myself reaching out to Christ whenever I'm in need- and He granted me so much! I'm so thankful! I have been really blessed- and I want to share this with all of you.

And I want to hear from all of you!^___^

Hey everybody! most people online (no matter the website) call me skys. Anyways I have been a christian since I was probably about 12 (I suck with dates) ane now I am soon to turn 17. (it feels so strange to write 17 it feels like I was 12 just yesterday...) But for anyone who cares about such things I go to the chruch of god of prophecy. Its technically non-denominational though the denomination it is closest to is pentacostal. (oh and if any of you have heard of the church of god... well our churches have some ties in the past, and we are still trying to bridge the gap 3nodding so yes ther is relation... sort of) anyway I have run out of things to say.
