as to the bible study... I could probably use one of those.

Proverbs is also one of my faves, but it gets repititious if you read it all at once. I also like the prphetical books and the Gospels and am currently reading Acts. Oh, Ruth is cool too, and also 1 Corinthians.

rolleyes 'Too romantic', such a typical guy response, haha jk. Yes, Ruth is the romantic one. Esther got married to King Xerxes because she was the hottest girl in Persia, not much romance. But it's also a good story.

I'm afraid I don't know much about the Old Testament. One thing that really sticks out in my mind though is Lot with his two daughters in the mountains....ugh...

It is romantic, but I like it. Both Esther and Ruth, which I'm reading soon. But it's not just romantic. Both needed a lot of courage and faith to do what they did. (Confront the guy trying to kill your race, leave your homeland with your mother-in-law to a strange, new place, etc..) So it's not just romance.

(when I was younger, those were pretty much the only books I really understood fully. The story-parts. Now, I get the meaning, but then, it was just fun to read..)

Also, I notice many of you are discussing Ruth right now. That's definitely one of my favourite old testament books. The strength of her faith is so inspiring.
